Met with Keith Klein about 8 years ago, while he is pricey, you get your moneys worth plus some. I can say the guy spent hours with me the few times I went in. At 20 I was around 250 pounds, I have never gone above 200 and hover around 190. If he still puts the jar of sugar cubes on his desk, it will change your life.

I was recommended to Kim by fitness model Kelsey Byers a few years ago. When I stick to her eating plan, it works!! I have never felt hungry following her plan. Eating every 2 -3 hours when Im awake, Im eating all the time. I know I can always email her if Im having issues or have questions. I highly recommend her!

I have never felt so ripped off in my life. I met with Kim Porterfield. She bragged about her mad recipe skills. I tried to talk to her about my personal experiences and questions, which were met with a condescending laugh. For some reason I was asked about my food preferences. Because of this I thought that food recommendations would be tailored to my liking. Nope. I was sent home with a photocopied recipe book of low fat, low calorie foods. In other words, eat several small low fat, low calorie meals and feel hungry all day. Her approach to nutrition seems so dated, as dated as the 15 year old can of tuna in her desk. I was surprised the terrible recipe packet didnt include a recipe for hamburger patty and cottage cheese.During COVID-19, not once did she reach out to me to check on progress or offer encouragement. In my effort toward better health, this was the most colossal waste of money.

The Institute of Eating Management is a great place that is effective. I would read up on articles talking about different diet plans and training methods, but nothing ever worked until I came here. It is a realistic program that is focused on building off your current habits and eating routine, but optimizing it for proper consumption and timing. Kim is great and explains what we are going to do and WHY we are going to do it. The whole feeling is professional from the time you walk in, to when you leave. I am glad that I quit wasting money and time on programs that did not work and started with the IEM.

A local Houston fitness trainer recommended us to Institute of Eating Management and Relapse Prevention Center. On 02/03/2017, I called about making two appointments for a consultation with Keith Kline for my fiancé and mother in law. When talking to Roxanna Sanchez (office manager), she asked if both patients would be coming together for the appointment. I let her know that my mother in law was bilingual however she might need assistance in translation from her son for words or phrases that she might have difficulty in understanding. Her immediate response was that they did not accept clients that do not speak English. Therefore I informed her once again, that my mother in law did speak and understand English however for medical or technical terms she may have difficulty and that the translation could be done after the consultation, not during. She therefore advised that they do not see clients that don’t speak English because it goes past their consultation time and they often don’t understand the concepts. When Ms. Sanchez said that, I was in complete shock. NEVER HAVE I EVER heard of a medical practice having any type of restriction in place against people whose first language is not English. It’s unfortunate that this company, Institute of Eating Management and Relapse Prevention Center, is more interested in making money rather than helping patients learn to manage and build proper eating habits, especially when the service is being paid for by the patient. We will be taking our business elsewhere.

I dont know how this company doesnt have a million reviews because it has been around for a couple of decades for sure. My friend recommended me to see Keith or Kim about losing some weight before my wedding. I started on March 27th and 6 weeks later, Im down 7 pounds overall weight on the scale.I was one of those girls who thought I knew how to eat to stay thin but I wasnt eating the right foods. I was basically starving myself and hardcore storing fat on my body. Over those 6 weeks I lost 10 total pounds of fat and went up 3 total pounds of muscle. HELLOOOO WEDDING ARMS. Im going to continue the program up to my wedding and thereafter. I was skeptical in the beginning but im so glad Im doing it now. Thank goodness for Kim in keeping me sane during the wedding planning process. Shes AWESOME.

Kim Porterfield is the best!! I was eating once a day and had issues with ulcers and was stuck at 135 to 140 with 45% body fat. I was miserable and sick. With her as my nutritionist I was able to get control of my eating habits and maintain the weight I have always wanted.
