This place is horribly managed. Had a test scheduled for 10am and was asked to arrive 15 minutes early. I waited a full 30 minutes before anybody even started to check me in. Terrible service...

American Medical Institute offers an excellent medication aid program. Dr. Ify is very knowledgeable in working to offer a flexible schedule and academic support to her students. This course has helped me tremendously with pharmacology in nursing school.

I highly recommend that if you are looking to be a CNA; to attend this school. The instructors are very hands-on, and explain in details when questions are asked, and are willing to help you out as much as possible. We were very hands-on when learning in the skills lab and clinical was also a very good hands-on experience.

Very horrible staff and unprofessional management. Avoid at all cost!!!Ive taken several professional exams at different test centers and this is by far the worst. Firstly, myself and several clients were waiting outside for sometime as the venue didnt open up for business at the specified time.On signing in with the staff, the little brat started an argument with me. She asked me to sign the signature pad and I couldnt see her screen so politely asked her what I was signing. She retortorted that it was Pearsons policy on using phones and she was gonna tell me about it anyways after I signed it. I turned around her screen to see that it clearly said Read out loud to Test Taker. When I called her out on it, she became very rude and condescending and yelling at me. I explained to her boss what had happened and talked to her privately about it but she couldnt careless about it and wouldnt even patiently listen to my complaint.I was just ready to take the exam and get the heck out and didnt think things could get any worse. I walked into the exam room and couldnt believe my eyes.1. There was no lighting in the room. Apparently it didnt work. When I asked for light, owner/manager asked why the light from the computer screen wasnt sufficient2. The AC was turned off3. Door was left opened while I was taken an exam with multiple test takers and I could hear noise from the lobby.Note to owner: I am a proponent for and supporter of small business owners but at the least, you should be held to the minimum of standards.Your professionalism is highly deplorable. I would overlook the environment if only your staff was a tad polite. She is probably underpaid, frustrated, and obviously hates her job and is not shy to show it. Im sure this is not the first complaint against her, but unfortunately she will keep her job. I will be making a formal complaint to Pearson about this and the condition of your test center.

Absolutely loved it! Dr. Ify is an amazing teacher and one of the smartest, caring persons Ive ever had the pleasure of meeting. Although the course is 4-6 weeks long, she is stern on making sure each student fully understands the materials and skills needed. The school is fully equipped with learning tools including classroom essentials, skills lab, access to nursing homes for clinical experience, and computer labs. If you are looking to begin or renew your career in the medical field, you should come here. I am about to go take my state exam and I couldnt be more confident.

I called twice nobody answered the phone and wanted to get some information about their program for phlebotomy. I got a phone call back from a cell phone with a woman telling me that this career was not for me. The phone call started off with no hello in broken English she basically asked me what my profession was now. From that point on she was very distinct and telling me that his career was not for me after I told her Im selling cars. Clearly she has no idea what my background is and that I have nursing from UCLA. From that point on she continued to tell me convincing me, or at least trying to convince me that I am NOT for this course. Ive never heard of a school in my life tell somebody who is wanting to go back and get a course, thsts its not for them. I am irate distraught and disgusted with the school. Or at the lest the tacky ignore woman they have answering the phone and I will continue to complain about this phone call. I am an educated individual who understands what I want my life and she has no right to tell me what I can and cant do. & I will take this to the highest point because whoever this person was it decided to tell me this I have no right to try to take me away from my goal.

Planned on attending this school for CNA training and ended up having to drop it before it began for childcare reasons. She told me since I dropped it 3 weeks before it began that I could only get 50% refund. I didnt even complain about that. She wrote me the check on August 8th. Today I finally go to deposit it in my bank and the bank voids the check telling me I cannot cash it because of their account and that I need to contact them. She told me I had to wait for her to mail me a new one.I called and the receptionist told me to leave my name and number then she pauses and says never mind shes right here. Once ifey gets on the phone shes acting confused as to why the check wouldnt go through then she yells at me telling me its my fault that I waited 30 days to cash the check. None of that should matter ive cashed checks 60 days after I got them and they still went through. I asked if she could just give me the cash and Id bring her the voided check she tells me no because shes about to leave. Keep in mind the receptionist originally told me she had a class.I had my mom call and she instantly changes her mind telling me I can come and get a new check! This place is scamming money and very unprofessional do not attend!

I really like the smaller more personal teaching style. There is plenty of space to ask questions and receive elaboration. All of the teaching in the world may not be enough for some ppl which is why it is also great that we had access to a functioning nursing facility to see these practices implemented. It was a great and fulfilling experience and look forward to testing what I learned on the state exam.

I am so happy I chose this school. I recently completed the CNA and Patient Care Technician programs. The courses will prepare you for the CNA State Exam, and the clinical internships provided, will give you the on the job training you will need. I am now a CNA and through the PCT program, am now trained in Phlebotomy and EKG testing. I am happy to say I was able to quickly find employment and am thrilled to be starting my new career. Dr. Ifye has so much knowledge and I learned so much from her. She can be tough, but that is only because she wants you to succeed. Thank you Dr Ifye and staff, for always supporting me. So glad I found you!
