Dr. Hsieh and staff are amazing at what they do, and they really do go above and beyond to help you! He fixed my herniated disc and got me back to walking again pain free.

Strong, ethical doctor. If he is not familiar with something he will not pretend he is. Has a good moral foundation. He was not able to help me due to the rarity of my disease, but was able to give good advice so I can go in the right direction. I would recommend him to anyone.

Nightmare experience. Laying in the hospital bed with a hospital gown on prepped and ready for an 11:00am surgery. Doctor decides at 10:00am that he didn’t feel that surgery was necessary on that particular day but continued to encourage me to come back in 1 month for surgery. When I asked him what did he feel was going to change with my symptoms in one month that would be surgery worthy?, he could not give me an accurate, medical reason. He did say however that he wanted to give me options. I then began to express to him that you give your patient options during an office visit consult, NOT 1 hour before surgery. This was prior to his office staff dropping the ball with my insurance approval. I called the office 2 days before original surgery scheduled date just to check to see if there was anything else needed on my part in moving forward with surgery. That’s when the PA informs me that insurance hasn’t approved the surgery. Well when were you going to inform me of that? I contacted my insurance for an explanation as to why they were denying it. They said we informed the office you needed physical therapy before surgery. I said I told the office I had 6 weeks of physical therapy and the conclusion was surgery. Did they submit that to you all? She answered no ma’am, we haven’t received anything from their office. I submitted proof of physical therapy to my insurance, finally get approved, only to have doctor imbecile tell me the morning of… not today but let’s do this in a month. I had been waiting since August of 2019, in pain, discomfort, etc. I just never received such level of unprofessionalism. Usually if the office staff is weak, at least the doctor is on point which makes up of the lack of his office. But when you have both staff and physician incompetent…RUN!!! The only paperwork this office should have you fill out is a disclaimer of stupidness. Please beware that our office may or may not review your chart, submit your documents and diagnose you accurately or proceed with said surgery. Thank you for wasting your time with us.

Horrible Doctor with below average staff. I went to the doctor just few hours back today after being referred by my PCP. He already had the MRI report and did not give me any suggestion. All he would ask is what i want as if I am the doctor. Had zero suggestion and wanted to walk out of the door as soon as possible. I would strongly recommend no one in right spirit to go to this doctor. I have never given bad reviews to doctor but this person was surely a very negative exception

Went to see Dr. Hsieh for a third opinion & am so glad I did. He explained all the options & suggested the least expensive option because it was the only one that would fix my problem. Both other Dr.s recommended the most expensive possible surgery, none of which would fix the issue & would have caused issues later in life. A truly honest & conservative approached doctor. Highly recommend him.

He did mri first on areas of concern before I saw him. He explained what was causing pain ( cyst). Told me my options, which first one wasn’t surgery. He didn’t rush me, explained easily with diagram my problem. He has an Excellent reputation for surgery. After surgery, I’ll give him the 5th star. 😉

Dr. Hsieh was informative and helpful after a spinal injury I incurred a few years ago. Whether for an physical/injury consult or as a surgeon, he is highly recommended; Dr. Hsieh is an empathetic and trustworthy doctor.

Best spine surgeon in Houston. I came to Doctor Hsieh after seeing multiple Doctors and having about 4 prior spine surgeries. I was turned away by a few Doctors due to my prior surgeries and they told me that I should go see the Doctor that worked on me before. The ones that did see me looked at my MRIs and wanted to do the same thing my current Surgeon wanted to do which was a lumbar laminectomy.Well I went to see Dr. Hsieh, He saw something in the MRI that the other Doctors didnt and needed me to get a CAT scan to be sure. After looking at my CAT scan from the vertical view He determined that my prior lumbar fusions did fuse all the way. He open me up and refused my spine from the exterior this time and it fixed my lower body problems. It has been 10 months and lower body pain free... He is a awesome young Doctor that enjoys his job and is very good at it.

This doctor is horrible. He wouldnt listen to what my husband was trying to explain with his spinal pain. He never let him finish speaking and hasnt called back with any of his results from the MRIs that he did over a month ago. He is worse than having to deal with than the VA hospital. If you are looking for someone with horrible bedside manor then this is the doctor for you.

Horrible has staff order MRI and did not call back with results. Said needed an MRI first before we could make an appointment to see the doctor. We then were told we would have to wait 20 days to see him to go over the MRI results while my husband is excruciating pain. Ridiculous. Still have yet to see the doctor or get results back from the MRI that was done.
