Dr. Vo is a fantastic doctor and there is no disputing that. She truly cares, listens to patients and acts quickly. I see her PA often and have had great experiences there in terms of care, listening, and adapting care to handle my RA.Communicating with the Houston location requires a great deal of patience and persistence. This is understandable given the shortage of good Rheum Drs in Houston but it can be frustrating at times. Once you get someone, they are helpful and friendly. As with many/most specialty doctors, you cant guarantee to be seen at your appointment time. So, schedule when you have flexibility with your calendar.

Dr. Vo is my rheumatologist and I LOVE her. I really like that she will tell you what she is thinking during your appointment and clarifies everything with you. My issue is her staff in the office. I feel that they can be rude at times and I have attempted to contact them multiple times for a recent issue and have heard nothing back for weeks.

My mother and I have been trying to work with a medicine manufacturer since December to get financial assistance. The hold up...folks at Rheumatology Center keep telling us theyve submitted the necessary documents but they havent. Ive made multiple calls since December and I have been told its been taken care of, it hasnt been taken care of but it will be that very same day, and when I tried providing the Drs office with an alternate fax number, Im told the Dr needs to be contacted because they cant fax to a number that isnt on the form. Absolutely zero sense of urgency with this matter. It has now been TWO MONTHS and my mother is out of medication.

Scheduled an appt with the Houston location and the staff was wonderful from start to finish. I saw PA Kelsi Vilardo and she answered all my questions. Thank you so much to everyone involved in my treatment.

After changing rheumatoid Drs. I wasnt sure I could find another doctor so caring. Well let me tell you I found that in Dr. Vo. She has what my mom calls bed side manners. She takes time to explain things to you and assure you that shes just an email away. Thanks Dr. Vo Im glad I found you.

The staff at Dr. Vo’s office is very welcoming and helpful. Ms. Cindy, the nurse for Dr. Vo and Dr. Stephanie Reyes, has always made me feel very welcomed. She always greets me with a smile and is happy to see me. Ms. Cindy makes sure that I feel comfortable, she answers all of my questions and I love that she remembers our conversations making me feel very valued.

The after-hours phones are a nightmare. Option 2, to leave a non-emergency message, doesnt give you a chance to leave a message. Option 5, to reach the answering service, reaches only a recording that asks you to leave a message. No other options are offered. These phones have been a problem for a long, long time but I guess the staff never calls itself to experience that themselves. This time I was trying to respond to a live message left on my answering machine by a staff person. The staff person obviously did not get the correct information to help her make the call: she had gotten the information from a John ~ a name on another Vo digital device (also automated) that asked me to leave a message. So you rarely get to talk to a real live person. The non-surprising result is confusion, like the kind that happens when people dont talk to people. The people there are nice enough ~ once you get in and are standing there in person at the counter. And Doctor Vo is nice enough: I am so very surprised she allows such sloppy performance on the part of her staff. Whoever is supposed to make the phones work is definitely dropping the ball and probably should be replaced by a more competent person.I am a patient who writes under a pseudonym.
