Dr. Glombicki and his staff team was very professional, considerate and caring. Although, I did not follow the previous day process for my procedure Ms. Flora, (I hope this is the right name) wanted to make sure the process was a sure thing before she proceeded with my IV and I am grateful for that. So the total staff was just awesome! Keep up the good work everyone and thanks to all that are caring for the sick, your commitment and time are Appreciated! May God Bless and keep each of you!

This is an excellent facility. Not only is this for urgent care, but it is more like an emergency room and if someone does need critical care it’s just a short ride over to St. Luke’s Hospital itself in the Texas Medical Center. The staff was fantastically professional and thorough. My issue was addressed, tested, and resolved. I hope I don’t need these services again, obviously, but if I do....this is where I would opt to visit again! 👍👍

Last night, September 12th 2021 at 11:05pm, I made a phone call to 911 because of my grandmothers, Maria Ocanas, severe and dangerous condition. She had the following:•suicidal thoughts and actions (asked for a knife to kill herself, and tried to fall off the bed on purpose)•couldn’t breath due to anxiety•high blood sugar•hadn’t slept in 3 days•constant complaining of migraines and headaches•constant complaining that her entire body hurt•actively screaming for hoursShe arrived at St. Luke’s hospital at the Emergency Room during the morning early hours and by 6:00 am, we received a call that she was being discharged. We asked for a reason why and we continued to get answers from various doctors that she had been tested and there was no reason to keep her. While we feel that within a matter of 6 hours, she did not receive the entire health check up she is legally entitled to, we decided to listen to the doctors suggestion. After speaking with Dr. Tran, we learned that the social worker could help us with transferring her to a nursing home facility where she could get the help she needed. However, once we spoke to Lonye, her assigned social worker, all we received was anger, attitude, and absolutely no help. She said since she’s discharged, there is nothing she can do, and that it was out of her hands. We asked her politely to work with us seeing as how we have no way to transport her since she is immobile and that staying at home just is not an option. Again, she refused to help stating “its your family” and implying that she was “our problem” and the hospital can do nothing. She was extremely aggressive with us and we could tell that because my grandmother did not fit with her definition of being her “patient” she was not even willing to speak with us.I am appalled and horrified by this behavior by any social worker. A social worker’s primary job is to provide patient care and inform them and families about options and plans. Lonye however does not see things the same way we do even though my grandmother is still at the hospital under St. Luke’s care. Instead, we had to make continous phone calls to nursing homes to see what paperwork and what procedures are needed to get her admitted. Rather than actually doing her job, we had to do it for her. Furthermore, when we called her back and asked her to get clinical paperwork for my grandmother so she could be transferred, she again refused to help us because “that is not what she does.

I would have given 5 stars except that on the first night after having a quadruple bypass I was assigned Jessica, the most incompetent nurse I’ve ever encountered. My catheter had come loose and I informed her that I was laying in urine. I repeatedly asked her to change my linens and gown yet I laid there the for several hours before another nurse finally changed them. Also, with all of the tubes and cords I had, my pain pump kept getting caught and I couldn’t get to the button to administer the medication to help control my pain. I asked her to help get it untangled as I was in pain and she repeatedly said that she would take care of it shortly, which was her reply for everything. After multiple requests, she finally untangled it. My body had shifted in the bed and I was laying at an awkward angle which was causing the cords to become tawt around my neck. Again, I asked multiple times for her help yet she never did. The morning nurse, Steven, is the one who got them untangled. In my opinion, Jessica needs to be reassigned to a less critical area. From that following morning forward, I received excellent care on every floor. Steven, Tye, Heather and James were excellent. They all went above and beyond to see that I was comfortable the whole time. Being there a week, I had so many nurses and attendants that I cannot remember all of the names, but they were all great. A special thank you to Trish, Cindy and Brandon who are all part of Dr. Hallman’s team. 5 stars to all of them.

I spent a week just recently, after having my pulmonary valve replaced. I can assuredly say, the worst hospital Ive ever stayed. Nurses (most) were not attentive, having breasts, I was not given information on wearing a binder, bra or whatever. My discharge instructions from PT, was a 1 min conversion in the hall. In fact I only received pt, TWICE, though I was there 7 days. The surgeons and cardiologists are great, but CHI St.Lukes needs to learn from MD Anderson, or Memorial Hermann on how to run a hospital.

Everything was fine until after my procedure. As soon as I came to, there was no AC on the entire 9th floor. This caused me to become very sick. I was throwing up and found it very hard to breathe. It was very scary. Since it was an ear surgery, the throwing up caused extreme pressure in my ear canal which increased my pain. I would not want to go back for surgery here again. Totally unprofessional to have your AC off while patients are still present.

So I was told to call about a previous post . After 30 minutes and being transferred from department to department- no help other than St. Luke’s uses a third party to bill you for YOUR medical records. Wow not even first copy at jno charge. I can not find in release where it says third party vendor is used. Vendor does not even know if it’s in the release . Chris at St Luke’s did not have much to offer and then tried to Transfer me and of course we got disconnected. Do you think anybody bothered to call back? Hell no!. Then Kim at the third-party vendor was so unhelpful and rude.I intend to take this as far as I can it may take me some time but I am going to start researching the legalities of all of this. It should be clear in the documentation you have to fill out requesting your own medical records for your own personal use that St. Luke’s is actually using a third-party vendor to send you your own medical records.

I can understand if I had received several copies.I guess that they look anyway to nickel and dime you to death. Again I could understand if this was the second or third copy, why am I being charged to the first copy of My medical records, did I not pay you enough for the hospital visit? I’m not surprised why my insurance company doesn’t want to do business with you anymore. It’s because of stuff like this!

It’s a shame & disgrace that this hospital is named after Luke, that although a physician in his profession, he was truly compassionate disciple of Christ. I have been a patient at St Luke’s my entire life. Or at least since I have been an adult. I was first introduced to the hospital after having to move over from TCH as a CF patient I received a liver and lung transplant here in 2009 and the treatment I used to receive at this hospital was 2nd to none. But as of lately I was transferred here from another hospital with Covid 19. The room service refuses to feed me a high protein diet which I require due to my CF I’ve repeatedly have called room service and continue to feed me properly. I am also on PD dyailissa and the doctors and nurses are continually trying to kick me out of the hospital without allowing me to get a loaner machine at my family’s home until I can get back to Odessa where my machine is waiting. I came from Louisiana due to visiting my brother in the ICU Cooley B floor. Of course, everywhere you go there is always one nurse or doctor who has poor bedside manners or always getting smart at the mouth when you ask a questions, make requests, and have concerns. But there is always some nurses or doctors that brighten your day, and they take great care of your loved ones. The weekend I stayed, my brothers nurse Janaly V. was awesome. She cared for him as if he was her own loved one. She showed concerns and when I asked questions, she was very nice. She took very good care of him. She had patience, and made sure that his needs were met. I want nurses like Janaly to get praise for all the hard work they do, and to know that hospitals need nurses and doctors who are willing to go an extra mile for their patients. This hospital is not very good when it comes to customer service.First, there is no signs saying anything about how many visitors are allowed and we went through 3 different receptionists and none of them said only one visitor was allowed. Then the nurse, or CNA Im not really sure, was very rude when telling us only one was allowed while we were in the room after surgery. I understand that COVID prevents people from visiting but there should be SIGNS before and after you enter the building. The receptionists should also have told us.Second, when you ask the workers for help finding a waiting area or a room they dont actually take you they just say follow the signs and then turn around and mumble showing people where to go isnt my job. Very unprofessional. At Memorial Hermann they actually take you to the destination or will get someone who can help you find the information you need.Lastly, they need to be better about updating the surgery board tvs. There were people waiting 8+ hours and couldnt get any help on if their family members were out of the recovery room or not. Personally, we waited 3 hours and when I finally called, because the recovery waiting area receptionist went home, they said she was in surgery still even though the doctor called 3 hours prior saying she was done.Overall, I wouldnt come here I dont care if I died or went into a massive amount of debt going elsewhere.

This was my first time at St Luke’s. I don’t like hospitals. Who does, right? But this is the best hospital I have EVER been to. It started out a little rocky but got better. We had a little trouble in finding the testing site for the COVID test which I had to have 5 days before my procedure. But we found it with help from the staff. Wonderful staff by the way!We arrived at the hospital on the day of my procedure greeted with kindness and smiles everywhere. Registration took maybe 5 minutes. Wait time was even less. I had to have an ultrasound and a biopsy on my right thyroid. The technicians and staff were very kind and courteous. They were also very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions. They seen I was somewhat anxious but had no trouble in calming me down. Even the Dr came in joking! He had such a wonderful attitude. The bedside manner of everyone was superb! The procedure was over in a flash and we were sent home with a smile on our faces. If I ever have to go back to a hospital I choose St Luke’s! They are absolutely wonderful. Everyone from the doctors to the parking lot attendant made us feel like we were at a spa not a hospital! 5 stars isn’t enough. It should be 100 + stars!Thank you St Luke’s! Keep up the great work!

Where should I start this this hospital is a joke. The only good thing about the hospital is the cardiologist dr. Cozart. They doctors were pulling diagnosis out the air and trying to do test on my mom that was not needed. My mom was given an antibiotic that had a bad reaction adverse reaction on her and instead of investigating the cause and dismissing our concern with the media they want to a spinal tap on a patient that constantly moves her head back and forth and already couldn’t stay awoke. After consent was not given for that procedure the same medicine was still given even though we told the them to stop the medicine. After medicine was stopped my mom opened her eves and started being aware of things around her. Nurses take forever to come in and a result patients have to do things themselves after being told not to get up. People who answer the phones are so rude but are confused when you are rude back to them. I would never recommend anyone going here. I my mom medicine was sent to the pharmacy and after calling pharmacy isthmian morning it is not there. Called to see if it can be resent and was told that once your discharged the file is not available anymore. Really so I have to call a dr that is making rounds in the hospital to get medicine resent electronically that should have been sent yesterday. Even the lady that I called to get the med sent said that they could have rents it but they didn’t because they didn’t want to. Now my Momcan not take morning meds

Heard about the vaccine being administered at TSU. Arrived about 10am, there was a line but it was organized and they kept the crowd informed. Once inside the building, paperwork was given to complete then I received the Pfizer vaccine. No pain and out around 3pm. They also scheduled my second shot in three weeks right then. Well worth the wait in my opinion. Thank you.

Though it was extremely disheartening for me to know the fact that the lady doctor could not kidney-transplant on me due to my age etc., she was extremely nice in explaining and elaborating everything.

The process for getting the COVID vaccine was efficient and well organized. Everyone was super friendly. I just wish everyone had an opportunity to get his/her vaccine in this type of way, instead of standing in long lines. I also wish this were available to everyone.

I did not have a good experience at the McNair Campus hospital. All the other St. Lukes Ive been to have been exceptional! This place is usually handling outpatients, but when you have to stay in due to complications, that is the issue! Theyre not use to taking care of patients full-time. It was almost impossible to get them to help me when I had to go to the restroom! The Aides were not sensitive or caring and have the chair too far away from the bed for me to reach. They didnt want to help me even though I could raise up by myself! I just needed a sturdy arm to help me balance as I walked to the chair. I finally got out of the stockings that applied pressure to my legs and moved to the recliner that was just 3 steps from the restroom so I could go by myself when I needed! This was after a shoulder replacement surgery! There were complications because I had fluid in my lungs after surgery either from aspiration or other issues. When my Dr came to check on me I was in such pain that I couldnt get my breath and started gasping for air. Thats why I had to stay in for 3 days which were miserable! Another issue i had was that the nurses on the floor couldnt hit my vein each time they came for blood. I asked for either a nurse from surgery or a phlebotomist and he said no, that I could take it! So as you can see... many changes need to be made there. My surgeon was wonderful and so were his staff. It was the St Lukes staff that worked at that facility that was incapable of taking good care of patients! I complained to my Dr and he said I needed to write a review because he had already made complaints.

There is something extraordinary taking place when you are obviously ill, in the hospital by yourself but you dont feel alone. When you are surrounded by a group of people that you have never met but your health and well-being becomes their priorty; every nurse, every doctor, every staff member was like having a longtime concerned friend at your side. It was an amazing experience and I am eternally grateful.

I’m a first responder (Police Officer) at Rice University.... I had appointment at TSU location at 830a....I arrived at 750a and there was a long line to get a shot... The people I spoke with in the line did not have an appointment.... little after 830a, I went and spoke to one of the staff, I showed her my My appointment time and was a 1A category.... She apologized and said I still have to stay in line but will save a shot for me.... About 10a, someone came out and asked anyone who is a first responder... gladly I got my shot and left about 1030a.... Let’s say that wasn’t a good day... Phil

Reading the reviews, and going through some of it. Why would the Woodlands location send, my wife there. She needed a mammogram, a MRI. They cant even provide those services! We have had to chase our tails, to get this taken care of. The scheduling, is a joke. Oh you dont need an appointment, just come on down. After a hour and a half of traveling. We were told you need, an appointment. I get it! We are going through a pandemic. Where is the services, we pay for? The app. You provide only works, for the Woodlands location. What gives? This is my love one, and we pay for quality care. Maybe, now that the Woodlands has a new Cancer treatment center, we need to move there, or go with MD Anderson.

As a travel nurse on the COVID unit for 6 Cooley A, I can confirm that I would not want my family to have to stay here. The interim director laughs in your face when you call with legitimate concerns regarding your contract specifications and the charge nurses are disrespectful to travelers. Their patient care is atrocious for people in leadership positions who are supposed to set an example.

Gave birth to my son 9/15 and had such a wonderful experience. Every single nurse I came into contact was so loving, supportive, and personable. Kelsey, Ashley & Marsia (cannot spell her name for the life of me & she will crack up if she reads this) were all FANTASTIC during labor and delivery. And my PP nurses, Mikaila & Helen were the perfect combo of available but gave me my space. Very pleased!
