Yolanda the receptionist was phenomenal and so was the other staff, so I genuinely believe the other reviews about the staff specifically weren’t 100% accurate or maybe you just caught them on an off day. I’m leaving a 2 star review however on the facility as a whole. We took our sweet kitty in because she wouldn’t stop vomiting, we knew something was obviously wrong digestive wise because it would happen after every time she ate. We told the vet this and signed a waiver saying we understood the consultation fee. $159 by the way. Outrageous but I decided to go ahead because we were worried, and also because the other pet ER in town was maxed out. After waiting for 2 hours (the had an emergency) The vet finally came in and told us “We don’t know exactly what’s going on but cats vomit! It’s normal!” She gave us options , saying we could do x-rays and blood work. Or we could just give her some nausea medicine and call it a day. I understand that the vet probably couldn’t give us an answer to exactly what was going on, but I honestly feel like for $159 they could’ve told us something we didn’t already know. Anyway, My kitty ended up getting a shot of the nausea medicine because the other options were $400+. If Yolanda sees this I hope she knows how thankful I am for being the friendliest, most understanding receptionist I have ever met. The pricing isn’t the staffs fault, but I do think the owner should definitely have payment plan options if they plan on keeping prices so high. There’s no reason an x ray for myself should be cheaper than my 10 lb cat.

Went to this place, it was on a weekend and needed urgent care. This place is wonderful 100 stars if I could give that many. Dr. Brown, Shareece (spelling) were outstanding. No one wants to let their fur baby go, but they helped so much emotionally as Abby crossed over the rainbow bridge. The comfort they made for Abby - outstanding. We will recommend this place hands down. Just couldnt have been more professional and compassionate. Love this staff. Thank you Dr. Brown.

Vets have incentive to do more tests and procedures that may result in little difference in care or outcome. Doing diagnostics just to see and just to check while charging high prices, benefits the corporation and vets more than the patients. It makes one less confident in your care. In addition, knowing I had a 16 yr old dog...who was having a hard time standing up...and told she needed blood tests...a nd hospitalization...only to then be euthanized the next day, was an expense that was horribly cruel to both the owner and the pet. If pet was that serious at that age upon coming in, certainly an EXPERIENCED emergency room vet SHOULD be able to tell if the patient is checking-out....without requiring and pushing added expenses to an already sad event. I hate that veterinary care has become so money hungry and greedy!!!!!In addition, upon learning they wanted to euthanize my pet...who was my moms dog I took in when she died (so very emotional), I told them I needed some time to be with the dog because I wasnt expecting it. The girl at the desk told me No, I only had 15 min. That caused a panic and even more stress and anxiety and we got in an argument. There was no one else there or waiting to be seen at the time, so exam rooms were empty. I had to fight to have extra time to be with my baby...which was like saying Bye to both my mom again, and he precious dog who I also loved. That as VERY VERY cruel!!

Our beloved Pewee passed away. I rushed him to the hospital but he just didnt make it. The technician came running outside (curbside due to COVID19) to take him and see if they could do something but there was nothing to be done. He was already stiff when I arrived. They were very nice during this heartbreaking event. The next steps was to think about his burial. We decided to cremate him. The package was reasonably priced and included his ashes and a paw print. I had a similar experience before at another hospital with another pet that passed away due to old age and they didnt treat me this nice. Its been hard, emotionally, but everyone at Blue Pearl was very caring and honestly, this memory of him, especially his paw print, brings tears to my eyes.I am also glad they added a pamphlet about coping with the loss of a pet because it is devastating.I know there are a lot of comments about pricing but you have to remember, they are open 24/7. I personally didnt find it expensive but for other procedures it may be different since you have the convenience of stopping by without an appointment and getting your pet treated in an emergency.

I brought my cat with a fractured jaw here over July 4th weekend. I started at another ER who diagnosed the fracture but was unable to wire his jaw. They reached out to other ER facilities and the vet at Blue Pearl was able to do the surgery. Since this was a vet to vet referral, they were able to take him immediately. He did not have his jaw wired until the middle of the night, but since they had his info I did not have to stay and wait. Communication was excellent and my cat’s recovery has been great. I dropped him off about 7:30 pm. Got a call at midnight from the vet about the surgery. Then received a second call early in the morning to update me. Picked him up and was given very clear instructions. Great experience. To speak to all the negative reviews regarding price and wait time…it’s an ER facility. Haven’t you ever waited in a human ER? It’s the same experience.

Last week, Blue Pearl saved my dog’s life for the third time is 2 years. Of course, not everyone will have a happy ending when visiting an emergency vet clinic, but the staff and doctors at Blue Pearl have a passion for what they do and they try their absolute best to provide exceptional care. I always feel important and valued when I go there. In reading some of the negative reviews, I realize that some people may have written those things while they were upset. I know it’s difficult to lose a pet, because they are family and also that it’s super expensive for emergency care. However, it’s important to remember that the people who work in emergency vet clinics, (much like emergency rooms for humans), bust their butts to save lives day and night, sometimes on only a few hours of sleep and very often without any food in their systems. I cant imagine the mental toll it takes on their minds and bodies to see so many animals in pain or having to euthanize the ones who would otherwise suffer greatly before passing away. Still somehow, they manage to show up every day, keep that place squeaky clean, and treat each patient as an individual. This Blue Pearl location is three for three with my dogs and I as far as exceptional service goes, so I am truly grateful they exist instead of my dogs not having any options for emergency care.

The staff was very kind, the vet compassionate. My complaint is with their protocol, which I know was not the fault of anyone we came into contact with. We brought in our dying dog. She was in pain and actively having seizures. I understand they are there to make money, but to make us wait in the car to pay online before they would even let us in and get the dog comfortable is cruel. I have never had to pay a vet before services were rendered even for routine care, much less for a dog that was suffering.

Unbelievable at how awful this service has been. Our dog is currently still there and it’s almost impossible to get an update on your pet! We took her in at 7pm and there were several emergencies so that is understandable but when they finally saw her they did an X-ray at 10pm and let us know the fish hook was in her stomach and what options we had we chose surgery. After signing all paperwork and paying $3,300 minimum they said her surgery would be at 1am or around 1am. Well we all know that eventually items in the stomach move to the intestines. Sure enough we called at 1am and she still had not been taken to surgery but they would call us. 7am we called them because we still had not heard from them and they let us know she had just been taken into surgery! Well guess what they cut her stomach open and the hook was no longer there so they had to do another X-ray which should have been done before surgery to begin with! Everyone knows anything in the stomach moves to the intestines So they cut her stomach open for no reason. Told us she would be able to go home maybe later today. We called to check on her just now and no one can give an update this is unacceptable and unbelievable.

I have visited Blue Pearl in the past, but have not utilized this particular facility. This place is awful. They seemed to be more concerned with where I parked and how I contacted them than meeting the needs of my pet.I took my dog in Wednesday evening about 7PM. She had been spayed two weeks earlier, but she was lethargic and definitely did not feel well; also her incision was oozing and it looked infected.I could not even get in the door. I parked on the far west end of the facility and when I got to the door, it was locked. A small sign indicated to call a telephone number, located over the buzzer that would typically be used to let them know someone was at the door. I called and the lady told me to stay there and someone would come to the door to look at my dog and then I would go back to my truck. I waited for about 5 minutes, when a technician came out with another dog and took it to a waiting car in front. She looked at me strangely and went back inside. Then another person came to the door and told me to call the telephone number. I told him that I already had called the number and was told to wait at the door. Then the lady that I had spoken with came to the door telling me I had to get back in my truck. Also that I needed to move my truck to in front of the door. These people are rude and have zero compassion. Can you imagine taking your child to an emergency room and the door is locked. And then having them tell you to go back to your vehicle and call them? What?!Do not take your pet to this facility.

Very impressed with our experience. We had to race our puppy to this hospital as she was experiencing seizure-like symptoms. Turns out she was in need of liver shunt surgery due to a birth defect, we were referred to BluePearl Spring (see separate review) for the surgery. Thank-you to Dr Brown, Dr Rogers, Dr Ullah and team for taking care of our puppy so well and for systematically diagnosing her and keeping us informed, until it was finally confirmed that it was a liver issue requiring surgery. Would highly recommend BluePearl - they really do care!

We brought our dog in because he was having seizures and the vet said he needed a blood transfusion, which was going to be 5k to 10k! Or he wasn’t going to make it and that we should put him down. After $700 in fees, we decided to go against his orders of putting him down and had to sign a waiver saying we were taking him home AGAINST doctors orders, and left feeling very unsettled. We gave him fluids and watched him closely, and I swear he was fine within 24 hours. Today makes a week since we went in. He’s totally back to normal! I’m sooooo glad we didn’t listen to them! Just trying to collect money!

I have called this place at 9:49 AM this morning to see if they could see my dog for a skin laceration. I called again at 11:05AM to check if they accepted CareCredit. I got to this location at 12:57PM and due to Covid, had to call for assistance so a tech could come out to the car. I was told that they accepted walk-ins and that it would be a 2-hour wait, which was fine. Once I got here, they claimed that it went from a 2 hour to a 3 hour wait. I was told to stay in the parking lot while the dog was in the office. They did not bring her in the office until 3:00PM. The tech put on one of their leashes, but my dog is shy and did not want to go with them. I asked if they wanted to keep our leash on her and the tech said yes because it might help them get her into the building. They told me that once they took her in, we would need to wait for the Dr. to evaluate her before we would know the cost and so we could make the payment. I had to call them at 4:30PM because I had yet to receive ANY update on what was going on with my dog. At 4:30PM, I was told what procedure she needed and the cost. I paid it right there over the phone. I never signed any paperwork, but every other car that was there had a tech bring paperwork out to them to sign. My dog did not get out until after 5:30PM. They explained the medication that she needed, but never once mentioned the recovery time, or how long her anesthesia would last. They lost her collar and her leash that we had on her and claimed that we never brought her with it. We did because we also had her harness on her, which we took off before they came out to get her. We left her collar and leash on her. They lost $70 worth of our stuff. They never gave us a receipt or print out of her procedure. We had to call and ask for a Supervisor to which the staff claimed that they did not have one on hand. We ended up getting frustrated with their lack of service and drove away without our items or paperwork. This was the first and LAST time I will ever go to this place. Over 4.5 hours for one staple.

Rolanda was very informative and kind throughout our situation with our cat. We came stressed and tired and left relieved that we had found such great care for our pet. This isn’t even the first time this vet has provided us with such outstanding service. The previous time we came Christmas Day, our baby bunny rabbit had passed. We came only to get a heartbeat checked to make sure we weren’t about to bury him alive because he kept coming in and out. They came out and checked for us and were very sweet and understanding of our loss. You can go anywhere to pay to get a pet fixed up but you can’t go just anywhere and find such empathetic staff such as the staff here at this emergency clinic. Our cat Cement and I thank you!!!❤️Edit-when looking through, I noticed a bad review about this vet but it mentioned the spring location. I think they accidentally put it onto this vets reviews when it should have been for that location. That was the original one we tried to go to but we also were told by the spring location it would be a 3-4 hour wait and the lady over the phone wasn’t the most friendly. We decided to make the farther drive to this Katy location and boy am I glad we did! Just because it’s a sister store does not mean they give the same quality care as this one.

Saying goodbye to my cat of 13 years was rather painful and the reviews about BluePearl (Katy) gave me pause. Without availability at my regular vet, I brought him in and hoped for the best treatment. Aside from the wait time, my cat and I were handled with care. The vet briefed me about his situation in strong detail. And, when the decision to euthanize him was agreed upon, my husband and I were able to be there. Considering understandable Covid protocol, I’m extremely appreciative. Thank you for bringing dignity to what’s often a traumatic experience.

The majority of the staff at Blue Pearl were very caring and nice, however when I asked to pick up some of my prescription food for my cat, the lady on the phone became very aggressive and loud with me. When I asked for her name she quickly turned the victim card and told me that everything I said was monitored. All other suppliers of the cat food are out and this was the only place with stock available. The lady said that the food was only for “emergency clients”, even though I just spent $2,000 there the same week. An employee refusing to tell someone their name and hanging up on them is absolutely embarrassing for a business. Find another animal hospital if you care about your pets well being.

I was extremely disappointed with the service that was provided at midnight. I called in one hour ahead of my emergency, stating my dog has been experiencing an hour of seizures. One receptionist stated she is going to have a room “booked” for me since my dog was a severe case. I called back a few minutes later, and another lady said they don’t do that. Terrible miscommunication. When I arrived at the locations they have NO parking area and an entrance blocked off! People were walking from a distant parking space with their pets to CROSS INTO this hospital. Once you arrive, they LOCKED the doors and you had to file in and wait outside. The staff told me to wait in my vehicle until I receive a call. I never received a call and it is now 8 AM the next day. I left after an hour because I feel like a vet doctor can honestly handle this situation much better.I understand that the hospital may be book full, but a phone call to explain that they will not be taking anyone else in would help instead of lying about potential service. Completely unprofessional and I cannot believe an emergency room would leave its patients standing outside for hours without any alerts, staff, just someone to check up on the hurting animals while they are waiting for service.

The Dr. recommended a special food to treat my dogs allergies, so I ordered it online and provided their information to approve the order, and it was rejected by them because they said my dog is not their patient. This is for the Katy Location of blue pearl-This place is THE worst. I will say the vet was very compassionate. I first called and got information knowing the YELP reviews but because other vet emergency clinics were either closed or full it was the only option. I again called when we arrived and as they were still practicing Covid regulations all I got was it was a 5 hour wait. She was in distress and seizing on and off. They said if she wasnt currently seizing she would have to wait. unsure what to do because we aren’t a Vet, we decided to go home to possibly make her comfortable. By the time we changed our minds and return (15 min tops) I told them she was gasping for air. They took her and told me she was gone. I believe that the time we waited in our car and the travel …the hesitation because we aren’t a dr she could have been stabilized. The Vet techs should not do this sort of triage over the phone! Its been half a year since my beloved dog Rowdy passed and Im still clouded by doubts as to whether he could have been saved if only I had considered taking him to a capable veterinarian clinic. Please, if you want your adored pet to be given compassionate treatment, suitable for a family member, look elsewhere, this is not the place to go. I brought my dog for an emergency situation and after explaining in detail the symptoms my dog was suffering from and waiting 45 minutes for a basic diagnostic they said my animal was fine, just in pain and gleefully charged me $135 dollars without providing me any useful feedback or addressing my concerns. My dog died the next day, as the issue only became worse, and by the time I brought my dog back, they said the his condition was severe and they recommended euthanizing him. He was suffering so much, I had no other option. While the staff that assisted the process of euthanasia was empathetic, I will never forgive the minimal attention my dog and I received by the attending veterinarian, if they can even be called that. Dont bring your animal here unless you want to stay in doubt after things are too late and you have no choice but to say goodbye to your dearest friend.

My first experience here was when my boyfriend and his dog were visiting my parents in Houston. A pot fell on the dog’s paw and we took him to BluePearl. His paw was visibly cut, actively bleeding and he was whimpering in pain. After waiting for over an hour, the vet came in and looked at him for less than five minutes. She provided us with no antibiotics, did not clean his wound, and told us to take him home and put a baby sock on his paw. We took him back to Dallas where we live and two days later he wasn’t moving, eating or drink and his paw was infected. We took him to our normal vet who was astonished that his wound wasn’t even cleaned and he wasn’t given any antibiotics. He required emergency surgery and had his paw wrapped in a cast for a month.Fast forward to almost two years later. My very elderly cat was listless, avoiding food and water, not meowing (he is usually very vocal). I called BluePearl to ask advice-if they thought I should bring him in or wait until morning-I am not a vet and wanted some guidance. The man on the phone responded with a VERY condescending attitude and said “I mean is your regular vet not open tomorrow or something”. I said they are but I was very worried about my cat and was considering taking him in that night. He said “I mean you can if you want but you can just monitor him and take him in. He’s not in distress or anything so yea I mean you can but you can just wait too”. He provided me with no help and made me feel like a crazy person for calling and checking in on my cat.My highest recommendation is that you AVOID THIS PLACE at whatever cost!!!! Research different emergency vets or (if you feel comfortable) ask your personal vet for an emergency number. These people DO NOT CARE about your animals and it will result in harm to your pet!!!!

Once I got there i had to call them in order for them to come outside due to Covid precautions, they were quick to come outside and take my beloved dog in... I did wait outside for about an hour before i heard anything from them which maybe isnt to bad but i feel like they shouldnt have waited an hour to take xrays and put a catheter especially after an accident like that. After that i guess they had shift change and that is when Dr. Ying called me and explained everything that was going on with my dog he put my mind at ease by answering any questions i had, he was also very responsive when it came to calling me and giving updates on any changes. Yolanda the receptionist was also very helpful and nice and gave me words of encouragement during this hard time. The only reason i did not give 5 stars is the amount of time it took to process the payment for a overnight stay as it was 12 midnight i was very tired and wanted some sleep, they took my card in but did not come back out for 1 full hour i dont know why it would take 1 hour to swipe a card but that is my only complaint.

The woman who answered right away told me to stay in my car because of covid rules and I get that she was doing procedures but I told her I was just parked next door because I missed the entrance and she said she wouldnt see me until I was parked in front of the building so I got a bit upset but I found a way to go round without making a huge loop since my dog was very sick. Not sure why walking a few seconds from their building would be such a big deal l. I thought maybe they could take my dog in and after I would park right in front of building, but she didnt give an F. So I managed to find my way around the place even though I wasnt very familiar with the area. I called again telling the woman I was in front of the building and to please get my dog and she persisted to lecture me. Told her I had the covid vaccines and that I just want to move on and talk about my dogs emergency but she wouldnt be quiet and kept lecturing me. I started raising my voice because I was panicking and I was extremely stressed out about my dog but she kept lecturing me and told me to lower my voice or go somewhere else. It was tough enough seeing my dog in pain and me being an army veteran with panic attacks and depression and this lady wouldnt drop the parking next door conversation and I was willing to move from the conversation but she kept lecturing me and wouldnt let me talk so I had to raise my voice louder. Im not a proud person and I can admit when Im wrong but this lady made things worse for me. She was very rude and clearly has no training how to handle situations like this and I didnt feel comfortable leaving my dog with them. So I left and found a better place called vergi and they treated me right even though I was very upset and stressed out. Never again will go there and bet I I will tell my military buddies to never go there. They dont give a damn about your pets emergency and are not well trained in customer service.

These people took over 5 hours of just an xray to see my precious kitten have something stuck in her esophagus and sent us elsewhere 30 minutes away because they didnt have the tools to get it removed. By the time we got to the other place, she couldnt breathe, that place did CPR and it didnt work. Theres no way BluePearl didnt catch the struggle breathing or could have figured this out sooner instead of over 5 hours of arriving. $705 waste. Never going back or recommending to anyone!

I took my 13 year old dog who is in distress to this location on 2-16-21 and they said there was 2 to 3 hour wait. I told the lady that it was an emergency and she said that the vet was in another procedure so I turned away. Let me add that she showed no sympathy for my situation. At that point I started to search for another facility with spotty internet connection due to the freeze and found All pets animal clinic. They too told me that there would be a wait time but once I got there , they were nice enough to personally look at my dog in my car. And given his condition, I was brought inside and the vet onsite evaluated him and started to give him fluids. She said that it seemed he had a turned stomach. By this time my dog was not doing well at all and to top things off, the generator was not working at this facility. They told me they couldnt do x-rays or do lab work. They ended up calling BluePearl and they finally agreed to take him. My dog passed on the way back to Blue Pearl.

Our home vet send us here because our beloved cat couldn’t urinate or defecate , we were glad the place was open considering it was an emergency and it was late, it was big relief for us that our cat was going to be checked . They took our cat immediately considering that we didn’t have an appointment, we just talked by the phone. After some wait, they called us and told us about the procedure he needed. The cat had to stay 48 to 72 hours. We left the place worried about our cat waiting anxiously for the next call to tell us that everything went fine. So they were very responsive and kept us updated on his progress. They called us at 5:45 am to tell us that the procedure with my cat was a success . It was such a relief for us. Now my cat is at home with us. Still recovering, in general the recommend this place with no doubts !!

Can this location even do anything? Always sent to Spring for care. One receptionist in particular is super rude and uncaring. Called for an emergency and was told it would be 3-4 hours before my pet could even be looked at. The spring location is 120 miles round trip from my home. Medications were prescribed by the Spring location, but they were out of it. Tried to reach out to this location to get it filled since it isn’t too far from my home. One day I was told that if I could provide the paper script that the Spring location gave me that the medication could be filled at the Katy location, but then a couple days later I was told by the rude receptionist I mentioned above that the only way to get it filled was if the Spring location called it in to the Katy location. After 3 attempts, either Spring location never bothered to call it in or the Katy location didn’t want to fill it. Ended up having to get a smaller dosage in a larger quantity from the Spring location and pay almost 3 times the price I could get it for from Chewy.com. After waiting 4 days, I was informed that they will not fill meds through Chewy. So basically you have to go bankrupt to give the meds that are prescribed after having to pay a ridiculous cost just to be seen. TRUST ME....GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

My 16-year-old dog was dying right before me on a Sunday afternoon and I called this location to ask they please see her. I was told a four-hour wait and if she was indeed dying, to call an emergency vet. I made sure to tell the lady on the phone that is exactly what I thought BluePearl was. She did not budge. Its disgusting when I tell a vet hospital that an animal was dying that I am told to go somewhere else or let her suffering continue for hours.Luckily, All Pets Animal Hospital took us in immediately (even with a wait) and made it a caring and loving environment where all of the family were welcome to be with her, even in the age of COVID.

Eh. At least the place looks clean. This review is 6 months post treatment. In the end my cats broken leg healed at an angle despite weekly bandage changes, strict cage rest for 6 weeks + 2 weeks of restricted movement, and $1.8k out of pocket without surgery. Another vet and I are assessing the need for surgery to ease her discomfort now that I can afford the large expense again 😒 but, shes a wonderful cat, and at least she is happy and healthy now!The experience:Was referred here to Dr. Dahlinger after finding a gorgeous friendly stray with several displaced hind leg fractures immediately after hurricane Harvey. My regular vet suggested I see a specialist due to the severity. Called and made an appointment for a surgery consultation 4 days out. Was $125 just for a consult. Thankfully she didnt need surgery, just a splint with weekly bandage changes. The Dr. was rushed, got less than 5 mins with him, mildly friendly. Wasnt even in the same room as him or the staff while they assessed my cat, was led to a room to wait by myself. I never met the Dr. ever again on subsequent visits, only the techs. Now the front desk staff... Some are nice, but theres one that shouldnt be up front, who unfortunately seemed to be the one in charge every time I went, and really, uh, defined the experience. The day of the consult, I was snidely told I can only drop her off on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 7am and 9am, no appointment needed, and that I can pick her up before 4pm... Simple enough. Come back the following week at 7am before work to get bandages changed, was rudely told I needed an appointment, well make an exception this time, also youre too early? Come to pick her up that afternoon, mention that I needed to make an appointment, oh, I dont need one for bandage changes. What??This exact exchange happened THREE WEEKS IN A ROW. With the same person. Each time she seemed to not remember who I was or who I was there for. Lets just say, compared to the clientele there, I was distinct, like orange on blue. The other staff I got to interact with when she wasnt there two times remembered who I was. While waiting for pickups, I heard the staff telling other pet owners that drop off was between 8:30 and 9:30, started dropping cat off closer to 8. Was supposed to get X-rays on week 4, its like they forgot to and didnt even mention it to me at checkout until I brought it up despite it being part of the treatment plan I was both provided on paper and discussed with the tech staff, asked about it, they did it on week 5. Despite asking I did not get to see said new x-rays, nor review them with the Dr., would have had to make another consult appointment. What. The techs provided me the results verbally, another two weeks of treatment, and the introduction of mild sedatives as my cat was apparently getting difficult to keep still for changes. The bandages were done well for most of it, but there were weeks where the splint was placed too high or too low, which kept her from walking without hobbling, impacting the leg. You could tell she was sick of having to go back every week, dont blame her.In the end she had her bandages removed and she was returned to me in her crate without any sort of post treatment care instructions or a consult with the Dr for questions or anything. Just, shes good to go. Ok, with an atrophied leg that no longer has support? Sigh. Was once again told I would need to make an appointment for information. Went to my regular vet instead for help.I wanted her treatment done so I didnt have to come back here. Due to the hurricane and road closures this was my only option for the duration of the treatment. Certainly didnt feel welcome, almost as though I was an inconvenience; just another source of money.

Very nice staff and doctor. My dog refused to eat and the tech called me and told me they offered him 1/4 can of food and he ate and asked me if I still wanted my dog to see vet or take him home. I told her to go ahead with vet visit. Dr Brown was very nice, I went through my dogs history and she said they will do blood work. After it was done, she went through it with me and his liver function was off the chart which was what my vet had suspected. The price for blood work was $255 which is little big above what my vet charge (200) but it was worth it especially on a Sunday morning. Thanks Blue Pearl.

This place made the hardest thing of my life a little more easy. When my dog got sick unexpectedly, we rushed him here & they took him right in. The doctors kept in contact with me the entire time my dog was there & even let us see him everyday throughout his stay (about 3 days). They texted me pictures of him & answered ALL of my frantic questions. I never felt taken advantage of for price & I knew they really cared about my sweet boy & wanted him to pull thru as much as I did. HUGE shoutout to Dr. Rogers, Dr. Lang, Yolanda, and all the techs who worked on Baloo. When the time finally came to have to put him down, they were so sympathetic & nice & understanding. They let me spend time with him in the room & the process was luckily very peaceful for me & my dog (minus the sobbing I couldnt contain). I couldnt have asked for a better experience. Its been 2 weeks since my dog was put down, and I still need to go pick up the clay mold of his pawprint. They told me to take my time, not to rush, it will be there when Im comfortable getting it (right now, it would still be too hard). They even sent me a lovely card with handwritten sentiments from the staff. They really do care about your babies. Im so grateful for them.

Went to this vet because my regular place is closed during the weekend. My cat had been diagnosed with a urinary tract infection and was sent home and monitored. He had a blockage over the weekend and I took him to this hospital. The doctor gave me two options... $3800 or euthanasia. My cat is 2 years old and has been healthy until last week. The reviews that mention them only caring about money is pretty accurate. After paying the $175 for the pet exam, I went to another vet and was treated way better and gave me more options at a fraction of the cost. There are better 24hr places close by so do not use this place for major emergencies.

While I am extremely grateful that this vet exists and that they were open on a Saturday afternoon I will do my best efforts to never ever come to this location again. The staff seemed very unconcerned and cold- which I see can be a coping mechanism for the sad things you see each day... BUT was very frustrating. I had to bring my baby in for an emergency and was very anxious and had to wait hours before hearing anything. In total I was there 4.5 hours. Called to check in on how my baby was doing and was told the doctor was going to call me soon... which meant 1.5 hours later. Can’t use bathroom due to COVID which was also really frustrating because I had to pay them $600 but use the restroom at Panera bread next door. They waited close to 2 hours of me being there to ask if I wanted blood work done which then takes an additional hour to wait on. Why didn’t you ask me when I got there if I would consent to blood work so that you can get that started while I’m already waiting there. Very frustrating staff especially during a high anxiety/stress situation. Pet parents do your research before an emergency so that this vet is not your only option.

I called and the nice lady explained the procedure, cost, my options, and apologized several times for the reason of my call. She gave great directions on what to do since we are still living with COVID-19. Our Boston had several health conditions, and it became too much for her little body. I was very disappointed with the experience I had here. I have never had a sick cat before and I have had a few in my day. I initially took him elsewhere but they did not have an overnight facility so they recommended me to this emergency clinic. I felt like the actual vet spent a lot of time discussing details that seemed irrelevant and not enough certainty. There was a lot of “what if’s” in the conversation which didn’t seem reassuring when I was feeling rushed to decide between putting the cat down or letting him live. It also sounded like the vet was just spitballing prices as if he was making them up as he went. I’ll be fair to say it may have been far from reality but that is legitimately the tone I was getting. It was an insensitive experience to say the least. I don’t feel I was given enough positive options nor a genuine willingness to help. It also made the experience harder because they didn’t allow people in the facility. Great Covid practices but given the life or death situation, it would have been nice. Needless to say, I had to put my cat down which was heartbreaking. Not their fault of course but handled poorly. My favorite part was being told that the payment link was sent to me and once the payment was secured, I could be met on the side of the building to say goodbye to my baby. Also, $150 for the “initial test” seemed steep. How much could they have tested, especially when I handed them the analysis from the previous facility. The only reason I provided stars and wish I could give more was for the woman who I spoke to when I called to see if it had already been done. She was reassuring that she was with him and it was peaceful and was apologetic. If you have an alternate option, I would suggest you take it.

Not deserving of even one star after the way you violated your oath to protect and provide relief of suffering for my daughters cat today when she brought him in for emergency treatment. How very sad that the doctors and staff there are SO concerned about money when they should really be concerned about saving an animals life.Saving an animals life and providing the necessary means to a cat less than a year old that became suddenly ill that needed immediate treatment, but all your techs and doctor could do was focus on money before anything could be done to help their cat.Shame on you, all of you who participated in this, its called heartless is what its called. My daughter offered $100 and said she could pay on a payment plan and was able to verify stable income, but that was still not important enough to do the right thing and just to perform CPR you were going to charge her $300! Instead, your tech kept going back and forth to the doctor and my daughter relaying messages. the tech even said the doctor would not do it because they didnt have all the money.Said doctor should not be a veterinarian if this is the way he treats animals,by not treating them! The tech even stated that if they could not pay, they would have to release their cat back to them, now already on his death bed, but barely breathing, all the while worrying about payment, this precious cat is only as important to this hospital as the almighty dollar so its easier just to let the cat die, or let the animal suffer.Lets see, while all this was going on, this tech said that their cats glucose was very low, the cat was cold, he was very sick so these techs and doctor absolutely knew how sick the cat was and yet, they did nothing but keep him warm and check his glucose and then when they realized they couldnt get any money but $100 and a promise of the remainder $50.00 on a payment plan that would have covered the visit, they released their sick cat to them and even said they could try some sugar water for him.Im guessing that sugar water was even too much to ask of them to comfort their cat? Correct me if Im reading this oath wrong As a member of the veterinary medical profession, I solemnly swear that I will use my scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society. I will strive to promote animal health and welfare, relieve animal suffering, protect the health of the public and environment, and advance comparative medical knowledge......and while I am on the subject, lets read your mission statement and info that also violates what happened today!About Us....We love animals. Learn about our mission to provide remarkable care to them. Our mission: Enriching lives through remarkable care for pets...At BluePearl, we recognize that pets are part of the family. We honor the human-animal bond by providing the very best in advanced medical care for pets – including techniques that were once reserved exclusively for humans. theres more, but none of this happened today!Shall we continue,so, their cat was released back to my daughter who was obviously frantic and scared and where her cat had a seizure after they left Blue Pearl where they refused to help this very sick cat and she went to another vet hospital where they were welcomed by a friendly staff who said upon arrival, now listen very closely BluePearl, We will talk about money later, but lets try and save your cats life first Wow!!!!! Now, this is a vet hospital that truly cares about the animal and the family of this animal. But guess what BluePearl, they couldnt save this very sick cat, but at least they tried, unlike yall did, and they did so without making it all about the money.your behavior and violation of your mission statement and your oath caused my daughters cat to suffer unecessarily and most likely die. I will share this with friends and on social media so they will not make the same mistake my daughter did and come to your hospital...Animals lives matter and Im not a vet, but I do have a heart!

If I could not give any stars, I would have. Today my perfectly healthy 8 month old cat came suddenly very ill. He was very lethargic, very out of it and was hardly moving with heavy breathing...We were referred to Blue Pearl Emergency from a local Vet Clinic since their doctor wasnt in at the time. So my son and I and our beautiful boy Thor rushed over there. He was rushed back while we filled out paperwork. It seemed every other question or statement was payment this and money that. While he remained back there, getting examined, we waited in a room filling out paperwork, applying for Care Credit and discussing what little options apparently we didnt have here. The Exam fee just for the doctor to look at him and then come tell us whats wrong is $150...We had $100 and were honest and adamant about how we could pay a payment plan, that we couldnt just let him die. I asked ...well how can we get help, would they just let animals die?...I pleaded with them that we could afford payments...One technician even told us ...if they took payment plans from everyone, how would they get paid. I was appalled...All they told us was that he was very sick, had a such a low glucose reading that there was no number and he was very cold... They said they couldnt help us and would not take any type of payments...She gave us a couple of references to other places. After a few minutes of calling several vets, we left and rushed over to another Vet Hospital exactly 1 mile down I-10, where he died in our arms as we rushed him in.......I would not recommend this place to even the most desperate pet owner. They proved money was way more valuable than a pets life and that showed today... They could have helped us, they could have saved him. Now our cat is dead and our family is devastated......

About 10:30 Saturday morning, July 18, my 12-year-old calico, CiCi, began choking as though she was strangling. I called my vet immediately, but she was out of town and suggested I go to Blue Pearl in Katy. I had never heard of Blue Pearl, but I was desperate, and my vet called ahead to make arrangements for them to see me and texted the address to me. My husband sat in the back with CiCi, ready with oxygen if she should need it. Although it was 47 miles away, the weather was bad and I had to keep telling myself to drive carefully and not get into a wreck. It took at least an hour to get there and, because of Covid restrictions, we had to stay in the car and call the clinic. A tech came out to the car and carried CiCi into the clinic. When Dr. Brown was through examining her, she called me with her findings and diagnosis. CiCis organs were shutting down, and I knew I could not let her suffer. I agreed to have her euthanized and cremated. They were very kind and, at my request, brought CiCi out so I could say goodbye and give her one last kiss. I was crying because I could not be with her, and the tech was so kind. She said, She wont be alone. We will be with her, loving on her. I was so grateful for those words. I know other reviews have complained about the cost, but I was surprised at how reasonable the services were, and I was grateful that they were so kind to us.

If i could rate this experience zero stars i would but unfortunately i cannot. my boyfriend and i needed immediate help with our sick cat so we came to this emergency clinic as it was the closest option to our home. upon arrival the front staff was as helpful as anyone else could’ve been, but once we realized our visit would be longer and much more painful than expected we had many questions and concerns when it came to spending our last moments with our fur baby. they let us know we weren’t allowed to be there for her last moments and there was NOTHING they could do for us. I understand the climate of the world and the health concerns but they showed no compassion for us and our situation as we were very pain stricken. several times we asked for the doctor to come speak with us, we waited for over 30 minutes only to call back and be told the message was never relayed to her. I was honestly fed up so i asked to discharge my pet to take her to a vet who was more compassionate and helpful than this facility was. I strongly do not recommend bringing your pets here as they do not seem to care, if you want a place that will be compassionate and helpful I recommend All Pet Animal Hospital & 24 hour emergency care 10 minutes away.

Went to Blue Pearl in Katy today because my 3 year old dog was having issues. I called prior to talk about pricing. They were the best price for initial consultation of visit. Considering this is an ER facility that is 24 hours $120 is a great price. After asking about my animals issues they took him in the back for further examination based on the symptoms. If I could change anything about the visit I wish they would have looked at him in front of me. Only because he gets scared in the back of these types of offices from trauma at another facility/ company (not this company). Dr. Roger came back and gave me a few options and of course we discussed pricing. The options were very reasonable in pricing and logical for course of action. About 15 minutes later my dog and I were on the way home. I will definitely be using this facility again if needed, but hopefully not. :-)

We received excellent care for our dog. Dr. Ullah was very compassionate and patient with our questions. We very much appreciated the depth of his knowledge and experience. The facility is very impressive. It is amazing to have the ability to have someone who can see our dog 24/7. Our regular Vet recommended we come to this facility and we were seen right away. We highly recommend BluePeral Pet Hospital.

The gal at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. (apologies for not remembering her name to give her a shout-out). Dr. Erin Rogers was great and easy to talk to about the issue with our French Bulldog. I hope we dont have to go back any time soon, but if we do, well come back here.

I brought my male Great Dane, Mickie to this clinic. He was exhibiting symptoms of what I thought was hip dysplasia and was quickly losing mobility in his hind quarters. The visit was during COVID restrictions and the staff exhibited so much care for my big guy. They maintained regular contact and kept me updated throughout his stay at the clinic. The doctor allowed much time for a Q&A session. He gave referrals and next steps course of action.Pricing...yes it was a bit pricey...meds, x-rays, immediate emergency care, etc. but that is the price we pay for our fur babies! I was expecting it. I recommend this clinic for emergency care for our fur family.Fortunately Mickie did not have hip dysplasia. We are managing through IVDD.

Although having to take my dog to be euthanized was one of the most difficult situations I have been through, the staff and Dr. Brown were caring compassionate and professional. I really cannot thank them enough for the care and support my dog and I received. The facility was clean, service was prompt and again the entire staff was incredible.

Took my cat here after he was hit by a car. Overheard one of the staff talking to the vet, saying that i was one of them and cant afford treatment. This people are the worst of the worst and lack essential sympathy for others!

Had a great experience at the Katy location this past weekend. My elderly dog suddenly lost the use of his back legs, so as you can imagine I was in a panic. Knowing there is a pet emergency clinic right down the road from me, my husband and I took him there immediately. The care I received from the receptionist, the technician, and the doctor was wonderful. They were compassionate, efficient, and the doctor spend a good amount of time explaining what issues my dog might be experiencing, and what the next steps would be. As for the cost, it was about what I expected for an office visit, x-rays, and several anti-inflammatory prescriptions. Fortunately I have pet insurance, so that helped eased the cost anxiety. I would definitely use them again (but hope not to have to!)
