The three stars are based on 5 stars for the doctors and 1 star for the staff. The doctors are great and do a good job, are very receptive to concerns, etc. The staff is generally the exact opposite. Dealing with them using the message system is incredibly difficult. They are completely inflexible and not at all helpful. Last time it took 8 messages back and forth to get blood work scheduled and then they forgot the urine test. It is time for the next checkup and I am going through exactly the same back and forth on the lab work with the same staff.

I am consistently impressed with the advancements & technology Village Medical implements and the conveniences available to patients (on-site X-ray & blood draws & Pharmacy, for instance). I’ve been a 20+ year patient observing their growth & tech progress while maintaining a top-notch, excellent patient relations imperative. I highly recommend the doctors and specialists practicing at Village Medical.

While this practice use to be good, it’s turned into a churn and burn. I’ve been going here for the last 7 plus years. When I checked in this morning they questioned whether I was a patient. What?? After hassling with the front desk fit a good 10 minutes they told me I was over 15 minutes late fir my appointment and couldn’t be seen. I had the appointment down for 20 minutes later than they did so I thought I was early. No Grace at all, just “you can’t be seen.” NEVER AGAIN. Beware they only care about the money. They didn’t refund my appointment fee either.

Called and were told my husband could not come in even though he had a negative covid test 2 days prior to call. We waited 24 hours for a telephone conference and was charged $117.00 to be told to go to ER. Doctor said my husband needed CT scan. Which we already knew. When I asked if she could order CT so we would not spend all day in ER she said no.

This is a follow up to a review left 2 years ago about the poor care I received by Dr. Toll. In that review I said I hoped it wasnt fatal. Well guess what? All Dr Toll had to do was refer me to an ENT and I would have known I have cancer months earlier. But did she? NO! I had to go out of state to find out. Now I am a patient of MD Anderson, Houston. Hopefully I can squeeze a few years in. Whatever you do, do NOT see DR. TOLL. Thanks for NOTHING Dr. Toll. I cannot imagine why this doctors license has not been pulled.

Village Medical front staff was very helpful in scheduling a tele visit appt with Dr. Molina. However, they were not aware that he was only doing in person appointments. Dr. Molina & his staff refused to even have a conversation to discuss a recent prognosis for a established patient of over 20 years. Never returned messages or phone calls. His staff is very rude and unprofessional. Dr. Molina does not seem to care about his patients either, just a another number which is a shame for his patients who do not know better and have been with him for decades.

Dr Madhavi Reddy on the 3rd floor. Not awesome bedside manner and didn’t address all my concerns. Kept her head in the laptop more than anything. Gave referrals out like it’s a revenue mill. Also was supposed to give me flu shot but they forgot. After bloodwork went back to office and told them. I was instructed to go to a different office two floors down and to “just tell them to give you one”. Upon doing so, I was told it would cost me and to go back up two floors to Dr Reddy’s office. They looked confused and consulted a nurse who looked visibly agitated. I was told they could do it but I needed to wait. I left. They were already 30 minutes late for my appointment and I found this encounter incredibly unprofessional and concerning. Poor attention to detail and obvious inability to manage a medical practice.

They said someone from the office will call to schedule a simple strep A test. One day later, I missed one phone call 815am. Dr pitel’s office snd generillo. Office staff is very rude. The main office is incompetent. I Called back 4x never received a phone call until over a hour later. they only have one number which is a general number and they relay the message. Finally, the wrong office called snd was very rude too. Never heard back to schedule a test since yesterday afternoon 315 appointment AND that was delayed over a hour. First they had the wrong doctor’s office call and now I’m still waiting. Well, figuring that they only do strep tests from 915-1130am?? I’m not even going going to even get in? 2 days later? What kind of system is this? I received this office as a referral from my husband’s transfer company. Never ever go here. Never experienced of how difficult it can be just to get a step test. What the entire hell!? I told them I just spoke to someone less than 2 hours ago telling me that everything was good to go! Well they sent me to a supervisor (idk of what) that told me “SORRY”. I am responding to the reviewer that had a bad experience with Dr. Toll. Dr Toll has been my pcp for somewhere around 20 years. I think the world of Dr. Toll and that is why I followed her from another clinic to Village. She has given me excellent care over the years. I have no idea what happened to cause the bad experience but I do not believe that Dr. Toll should be held responsible for a mix-up in scheduling since the doctors do not do the scheduling. I wish they would include a way to let them know they are sending emails incorrectly. Wouldnt be that hard to do, and less chance of violating HIPPA. Hope they read these reviews. Update: Id like to change this from one star to 3 stars. After some searching, I found what I hoped was the correct clinic and also found an email address. I emailed them about sending me test results and not being their patient. I did receive a response from someone who said they would look into it and see if my address could be removed.

I had a video call w Julie Toll scheduled for today. My appointment was at 11:30am. I called the office at 11:45 just to give Mrs.Toll some time to call me. I know some doctors get a little behind. Well my case she was 3 hours behind. It is now 2:38pm if it wasn’t for me calling twice already no one even bothered to give me a courtesy call to inform me she was running behind. I Had read all the bad reviews for this person and still decided to give her a chance but now I know why the reviews are there. I spoke w someone a few minutes ago saying the Julie trying calling me which is a lie. Out of like 3 girls I spoke w she was the only one that said she “tried calling me” yeah it’s convenient to say that since you’re 3 hours late to have an appointment with me. If Julie herself called me why didn’t she leave me a voicemail? I’m getting a new PCP and cancelling her. Thanks for nothing.

They no longer have my patronage. My complaint is with the location at 9055 Katy Fwy #200, Houston, TX . I have been a patient there for many years, and have received quality care. But, in the last few years, I have experienced increasingly long wait times. I just can not dedicate a whole day to just one appointment, and today I had to draw the line, there were only 3 other people in the waiting area, and I waited over an hour to be seen, and finally my name was called, and I was taken to an examination room, where I waited 30 minutes (and still was not seen by the doctor) without ANY explanation. I finally just walked out. Now let me stress, my complaint is not with my doctor. I have received quality care from Dr. Reed, and I personally do like him, but if that location has more patients than it can handle, maybe it should hire more staff, better, or more experienced staff, or not continue to take on more patients.

I cannot say enough good things about the practice. I was a little intimidated before beginning physical therapy, but very soon after going I was much more at ease. Brian was the first person I came in contact with and he was caring and thorough. I felt we bonded immediately and when I started PT, Jennifer and Larry took care of me first. Jen was kind and considerate and made me feel very much as ease. Larry was encouraging and personable and really motivated me. They both seemed to really care about my recovery and answered all my questions without ever making me feel silly. I did not see Julie or Taylor as much, but they were both sensitive to my issues and very nurturing. The entire staff seemed very knowledgeable and dedicated to the patients. I appreciated them calling me by name and remembering my name each time. So often, one feels like a number and that is just not the case here. When I had my last session, I felt sad to leave because even though I had only been going for a few months, I did feel they were all friends. It was also very easy to schedule appointments and the receptionist (Theresa?) was extremely pleasant. I give this group my highest recommendation.

I’ve been a patient for over a decade. Seems that there are issues with systemwide communications such as between locations where multiple doctors share the same patients for various reasons. Because of this, amid lingering covid cases and due to restrictions on certain meds, I have not had a good experience this year with Village Medical Group (previously Village Family Practice) regarding interactions with medical staff and receiving my prescriptions in a timely manner. I have been a patient of Village Family Practice and Dr. Domask for over 20 years. She is extremely knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. When she has needed to send me to a specialist, the specialists have commented on the thoroughness of her workup before ever referring me out. I have also seen Dr. Lemming with the group and think very highly of her as well. Patient care is their priority. Sure, you may have to wait to be seen. But when it is your turn, expect to be treated respectfully and for the physicians to truly listen to you and care about you. Communication is also very easy through the patient portal. I have seen many complaints about the front staff, but I have not had a negative experience with them. And, I dont think its reasonable to base a review of a medical practice solely on wait times, not in todays world of medicine. I will always rely on them for my medical care.

This review is of the staff outside of the doctors. Staff was bad in online reviews a decade ago when I started going there & sad to say no improvements have been made in over a decade. I think 10 years is a good sample amount of time to finally write a review about this office. At what point do the people in charge of this practice start caring about their clientele and do something about this staff? There is serious communication problems with this office & I dont think the doctors are fully aware of how serious the issue is. I really hope they can address this issues with the brand name change & make improvements sooner rather than waiting another decade. I only go there still because my doctor is phenomenal.

This is the worst ever! I called to schedule an appointment as a new patient for my child. We moved here and in need of a new doctor. Monica told me over the phone that we will be turned away because we dont have actual Insurance card on hand. She said, I can schedule it for you but they are not going to see your child. I asked her why would we go to the office if we will be turned away? I was trying to find a way to work with her. I offered her many times to bring a print out copy of the Insurance info and was told that it is not acceptable by their office policy and I have to have actual card. Finally, I asked her if I can have a copy of the policy and she said they dont provide a copy of the policy to anyone. I explain to her again that my child is complaining about some pain and we dont have actual physical card on hands but we do have Insurance and we can provide Insurance info. She said they will not see you if you dont have actual card. I asked her if she is refusing to provide care for my child and she was just keep saying you have to have the card that is our policy. I couldnt do it anymore! I couldnt believe any of it!! I said that I am going to call AG, news, wright reviews because I dont believe that a child can only be seen by a doctor if we have actual physical card on hands!!! What is this place? Over 20 minutes of a ridiculous conversation over something that can be easily verified. She also said to me We have to scan your card. This is our business and this is our business policy. I made an appointment for anxiety when I travel. They scheduled me with Julie Toll. She saw me for literally 5 minutes (I spent more time with the assistant doing my vitals check) and she told me she does not deal with anxiety and that i would need to see a psychiatrist and also prescribed me an anti depressant for my “insomnia”. I told her I don’t have insomnia. I have anxiety and because of anxiety, I cannot sleep when I travel. She said it would take care of it. And that was it. I looked up the prescription and saw it was for anti depression and insomnia and obviously comes with serious side effects. I never took those meds. It baffled me that she didn’t bother trying to refer me to a specialist and just shoved a prescription that does not treat anxiety and may even pose a more serious problem like suicidal thoughts. I never saw her again after that. I of course also had to pay for the visit $125. My second complaint with this visit is if she does not deal with anxiety then why did the receptionist not specify this when I made the appointment? She didn’t even refer me to one. Smh. This was my one and only visit. You would think she would spend a little more time getting to know me before giving me a drug like that. If you don’t have expertise in anxiety then how are you able to prescribe something that treats depression???

This review does not reflect my experience with Dr.Reed, nurses or the ladies at the check in desk when you arrive. For them I would rate 5 stars. I did have a little wait but it was not a big deal to me.However today when I went to check out I experienced a lady with a terrible attitude. My insurance was not verified and I came to that conclusion after the check out lady told me she was going to just bill my insurance and bill me with what I owed.. She asked me how much I wanted to pay and I said I have a coinsurance amount but I could not remember if it was 20% or 25% my portion. I told her I would pay the 20% and if I owed more than I’ll pay it after insurance pays. She then gave me the total of around $96 or $97 which is obviously incorrect. I questioned if that was 20% and the lady replied “how much do you want to pay?”. At this point I’m very aggravated because not only did she have a horrible attitude from the start but she obviously didn’t understand how to do her job. I had to ask her what their contract rate was for my insurance and do the math myself. Really ridiculous to have to go through all of that. After my appointment I went to my job and pulled up my own benefits and saw we had met our family out of pocket which meant I was covered at 100%. I called to speak with the billing department about voiding my earlier transaction and the billing department lady was just as rude as the check out lady. I actually thought they were the same person. All of this would have been so simple if my benefits were checked prior to my appointment or I would have even been ok with them checking them when I checked out. I just wanted to make sure I did not leave with a balance. Although Dr. Reed was amazing I’m hesitant on coming back because of how difficult these two staff members made it for me. Looking at previous reviews it seems like I am not the only one.

Ive been coming here for 4 years, and the wait times were always a little annoying but I was willing to put up with it, until today.Today, I had an appointment at 10:00AM. This was a follow-up appointment to one Id had a couple months ago for persistent nausea after eating. The first time she ran some tests and prescribed me some meds. The tests were normal and the meds did nothing, so I was coming back to see what else we could do.I wasnt taken back by a nurse until 10:35. The nurse took my vitals and asked what I was there for. When I told her it was nausea, she immediately asked when my last menstrual cycle was. I told her right now. Currently. She said okay and left the room.Almost 15 minutes later I heard her and the doctor talking in the hallway about me and saying they were going to do a pregnancy test anyway and that they were just going to refer me to a specialist. Mind you, its almost 11 at this point. Ive waited for an hour and still havent even SEEN the doctor. The nurse comes back into the room and tells me she needs a urine sample. I ask why. She says for a pregnancy test. I reminded her again that I am currently on my period and dont need a pregnancy test. She insists and says I have to do it.When the doctor finally came in at around 11:15 she basically just told me I had to go see another doctor. She didnt ask me any questions or try to help at all. All she said was my urine sample was normal except for the menstrual blood. DUH. I WARNED YOU.How ridiculous. I cannot believe they made me wait an hour and fifteen minutes just to be dismissed, forced to take a pregnancy test while on my period, and told to go see another doctor. I had to pay my copay for that? I would barely consider it an office visit.Additionally, the front desk staff at this practice are rude and dismissive. I love going there. I find the staff to be very helpful and caring. I have never had to wait a long time to see the doctor. I like that when I called in to see the doctor for an emergency they were able to schedule me right away. I have told several family members about the service and suggested that they see a doctor in the practice there.

I have been a patient of this office for over 20 years. But I mainly see Dr. Broussard and I think he is wonderful. He is a good listener. He is returns calls or emails in a timely manner. His nurses and referral person are very good. It is nice to have a lab, x-ray , and bone density facility all at the office (Memorial). Booking an appointment on line is very easy and convenient. For my well woman issues I see Dr. Erie and really like her as much as Dr. Broussard.

The worst place ever. I came in for a regular physical which is completely covered by my insurance. My doctors report still says I came in for a physical. Walked out and asked if I owe anything. They said no. Recently found out that I am late on a payment. They changed my visit to a doctors visit which is not covered by insurance. If I hadnt noticed, they would have sent my bill to credit collection agency. When I tried calling and talking to the people there, they never pick up their phone. I got a call back after a long time. They are super rude and just tell me that I got charged because I discussed my shoulder surgery with my doctor. The doctor asked me about my shoulder. Apparently I should have just not said anything. He never informed me that this would change my visit and cost me money.I put the blame on the doctor for not mentioning that discussing my shoulder is not part of a physical. I also put the blame on the entire facility for being shady and screwing their customer over.

I would highly recommend Village Family Practice, specifically Dr. Toll. They were very accomodating with squeezing in an appointment at the last minute. She and the other nurses were friendly and professional. I was most impressed with the communication and follow up after my appointment. I feel confident that I am in good hands. Thank you!

If you can find a physician here who is top notch and available enough to be seen when necessary, I highly recommend it! Dr. Clive Fields cares about his patients and is quite diligent in assuring the outcome is the optimal. The problem with this practice lies within all the other doctors who have been hired and are onboard. The last attempt to see my regular physician required a 1.5 week wait, wherein they convinced me to see one of their new doctors who they even list on their phone system. If you find yourself a suitable doctor here, DO NOT FALL for anything anyone says on the phone. Not only was I stuck with a new doctor because Dr. Fields was unavailable, my appointment was at 2:15, I waited an hour in the waiting room, and I didnt leave until 4 for a simple med check after not seeing anyone for a year. The pitch on the phone was all doctors have your medical records -- the pitch Im giving you is not all doctors are created equalLast little food for thought, each doctor dictates what they charge, if youre a cash customer and during booking they assure you they can notate the previous price charged by your normal doctor, DO NOT BELIEVE THEM. It was twice as expensive for my last visit under a new doctor.

Very disappointed in the doctors at this location. My mother is a patient here and has been for many years. She was seen a less than a month ago and was needing to get more antibiotics and tried to communicate thru the patient portal but received no response. We called a couple of times before we spoke with the triage nurse who was very kind and friendly but was told that the doctors insisted my mother be seen. This of course was at 4pm, no way my mother could make it there in time before they close for the day. Long story short we had to go to a Urgent Care facility, which is a shame her own doctor couldnt take care of her. Dont recommend at all.

I normally dont leave reviews, but i have to say thank you Ms. Korina with a K! My dad has been coming to Village for years, and I always have to help him make his appointments since hes getting older. I called in because I had a concern about one of his appointments and after talking to a couple of receptionists, I spoke with Korina, and she was so understanding and patient. I have a lot of questions, and I never felt like she was rushing me to get off the phone, but instead she took the time to help me out. She even called me back when the line dropped! Anyway, thanks so much for all your help!

The location, doctors, and services are wonderful. Im leaving a 1 star review because the general practioner I see is also a specialist, and everytime I visit (for general appointments, not anything related to her specialty) Im charged an additional $40 co pay through their online portal (after already paying the $20 copay out the door) for seeing a specialist. This has happened 3 times now, and this final time I cant get a hold of anyone in the billing department to rectify this issue.

I have been seeing Dr. Feldman for 10 years, I have always liked his bedside manner, & I have always thought he was a terrific doctor. I needed a personal orthopedic referral from him, I had to jump through hoops & call multiple times to get him to speak with me. The office only wanted to send me to the referral department which would search my insurance and zip code (Im capable of doing that on my own). That was the first issue. Then due to hurricane Harvey one of my Rx at village family pharmacy expired before I could get there to pick it up. I called them to get it filled, they said it was expired, & I asked them to send a refill request on Friday at 2pm. Tuesday at 11:30 no one had gotten back to me so I called the pharmacy again and they said the Dr. denied my refill request. No one bothered to call me and tell me it was denied. I called village family practice Wednesday morning and they said they would leave a message for my refill request with Dr. Feldmans nurse. Called back at 2 pm on Wednesday and left a second message since I still hadnt heard anything, they said it can take up to 24 hours for calls to be returned. Called back Thursday and told the receptionist it had been 24 hours & I still hadnt heard anything. She then looked in my file and said he had approved my refill request and that it was at village pharmacy. But NO ONE from village family practice bothered to call me and let me know. I called village family pharmacy and they were still in the process of filling it at 11:30 Thursday, which means they had just received it. Poor communication and lack of care for patients time.

My three year old woke up very sick this morning. Even though its a Saturday, I could get her in to see a doctor at Village Family Practice as they take patients for urgent matters even on Saturday mornings. The entire staff was so warm and helpful (from the woman who answered the phone to the receptionist to the nurse to the doctor), which is always appreciated, but even more so when dealing with a sick baby. Dr. Carter had an excellent bedside manner with both my daughter and me, and she didnt do anything non-necessary that would have caused my child added stress (measuring her when she just wanted to be held, the throat swab when the treatment would be the same whether it was strep or not). After the appointment, I walked downstairs to the pharmacy and, while I waited (briefly) for the prescription to be ready, I already had an email in my inbox with the doctors notes and information about the medication prescribed. The pharmacist took the time to explain to me the warning signs of a drug allergy and what to do in case my daughter had a bad reaction. 5 stars for Dr. Carter and everyone at Village Family Practice.

Check-in counter is so intense and demanded. Not really instructed. Ive been told to take shoes off for height and weight measurements. Throughout the process, the nurse was verbally yelled at me and instructed like Im in a drill. There is no effort to comfort the patient. One plus side is the cleaniness of facility. I think the oak color of the wall make surrounding so dark and sad, could be a reason not eveybody over there seem HAPPY. Pretty toxic environment when you come seeking for care. The doctor was nice and professional. Overall, my first impression was negative and unpleasant.

After several visits to this practice, I will be finding a new doctor. During an annual physical, I had one elevated reading in my bloodwork (Village Family Practice performed the labwork in house for this) and doctor asked to see me in 6 months after making some dietary changes and so I could be retested. I went back at 6 months and expected to only have a retest for the ONE thing that came back elevated, but without notifying me or asking my permission, the doctor ordered many other tests when my blood was drawn due to some things I had marked down in my family medical history that we had never even discussed. Results came back abnormal for one of the things the doctor ran the test for, and I was referred to a specialist. When I went to the specialist, and $168 later, found out that the Village Family Practice doctor read the results incorrectly- I was fine and I didnt really need to be there in the first place. Secondly, when I received the shockingly high bill for the lab tests that were sent to a 3rd party lab (not in-house this time), I asked the doctor why the extra tests had been performed... thats when I found out she ordered them based on my family medical history without notifying me or asking my permission. I have been in touch with the billing department, asking them to cover the 3rd party lab tests that I was not informed of or consented to - and so far for the last month and a half, they have been extremely difficult to work with and get a hold of. The billing manager has not returned a phone call for 2.5 weeks. I do not recommend this practice, as they are very difficult to work with in resolving issues that might arise out of their own doing, and youll be left to pay the bill you didnt even know was coming. If my issue is resolved satisfactorily, Ill be glad to update my review to reflect that.*UPDATE* After posting this review, I was contacted by the billing dept mgr and a member of the doctors staff, letting me know that they would be extending a one-time courtesy of having the 3rd party lab turn the bill over to them. Ive updated my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars due to their willingness to work through this issue with me satisfactorily.*UPDATE #2* Mid-January. After updating my review from 2 stars to 4 stars in Mid-November, I am dropping them back down to 1 star. Why? Because they didnt do what they said they would do. They never had the bill turned over to them like they said they would, and I received a re-bill from the 3rd party lab for the original amount. If this is resolved satisfactorily, I will once again update my review.

This place has been good to me after a rocky start; they are good when you are super sick, but for regular care I would go elsewhere if I ever had long term issues (luckily I dont). They have some great doctors, but they are changing as they get more successful, which is inevitable. Still a good choice as far as Houston goes if you have to deal with a doctor. Honestly, I cant stand the condescension of doctors and their legal monopoly status-educated humans should be able to fix their own bodies like we fix our own cars (I fix cars, computers, phones and DNA-if I had the equipment I would fix myself).I look forward to AI and the day humans can legally be their own doctors. Only one doctor here manages to not talk down to you, and he is almost impossible to see because everyone wants him (Dr. Broussard). But as far as doctors go, he is okay.

The staff is nice, but Ive been trying to get a hold of someone regarding a referral. Ive been trying since last Thursday. I left a message. They called back, but I missed the call because I was at work. So, I called again and I called the office. The office phone kept ringing & I stayed on hold for 5 minutes. I did this three times... A total of 15 minutes. I tried calling again later on and after 4 minutes on hold, someone finally answered. Im still waiting for my referral. I dont like the fact I cant make an appt. with an OB GYN yet until I get that referral. This is my first pregnancy and Im anxious to get to a doctor.Maybe they are busy - I dont know - but more prompt follow ups and answering the phone would be appreciated. I get its non emergency, but if Ive been trying since last Thursday, the anxiety and frustration builds.

I saw Dr. Ashley Ray, PA-C and it was nice that Family Village was able to see me on a short notice. It was about two weeks ago and I was diagnosed with tinea and prescribed a prescription for a small irritation on my back. Two weeks later I have the spot on my back that has tripled in size and about six other spots all over my body. I have called and left messages for Dr. Ashley Ray four times and the last two were left as urgent call back messages with not one call being returned. When I did not hear back from her last night, I called the after hours line and asked the on call doctor to call. He called within five minutes and suggested that I return to the office because I was obviously diagnosed incorrectly because with the medications that she had prescribed if it were tinea it would be cleared up by now and not spreading. With insurance and medications being so expensive, on top of co-pays this is infuriating! This is the reason I give the Village Family Practice, Dr. Ashley Ray one star and will not be returning to see her or recommending her to anyone.
