Im a retired clinical laboratory scientist/director. I went to the emergency room several weeks ago at the direction of my PCP because my lower extremities were presenting with 3+ pitting edema and weeping. The oral diuretics were not working. My PCP advised me I would be admitted and given a regime of I.V. diuretics which needed to be monitored with laboratory testing. As I was previously diagnosed with DVT of the same extremities, this was an immediate concern. Dr. Carpenter did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and instructed me to go home and elevated my legs. This man is a quack, in my opinion, and is a clear and present danger to his patients.
