I have been a member of Space City Credit Union for 20+ years. I have always had exceptional service. Just wanted to share a recent experience with Manuel Quintanilla Sr. Member Service Rep. He resolved a debit card issue that I was experiencing with the utmost professionalism. He listened to my concerns and promptly resolved them. He is courteous and focused on customer needs. He is truly an example of what customer service is and should be and definitely an asset to Space City Credit Union.

This is my third time using SCCU for a car loan, and they have been very helpful and timely each time! I highly recommend using them for your banking needs!

I cannot sign into their website for some reason... no security code comes to my email, password no longer works for some WEIRD REASON (probably something they have done)AND BEWARE, you must ask their permission every time you want to use YOUR MONEY (yeah, ridiculous, I know).Then I get this letter dated 9/30 in the mail TODAY 10/7, so I have 3 days to pay them $3.88... petty, verrrry veryyy petty especially since a lot of money was about to get deposited in there and if it does get deposited and they keep me from accessing it then I will be hiring a lawyer

I love this CU.Of course, Im young (relatively) and I dont have experience with other Credit Unions, but I do have experience with Wells Fargo.It makes me wonder why people waste their money with real banks. This credit union has served me well.Also, I hope they keep giving me free pens and calendars :)It would also be nice if they had a stock investment department. but they do have options for investments in savings.

Giving a 5 star rating only because of Paula Newkirk. Applied for an auto loan (probably 3rd or 4th loan in 10 years). Called and spoke with loan person and got lots of excuses of why he didn’t work on getting loan done. Made several promises but still didn’t get it done. Finally got in touch with Paula and she got it done same day.

Sum it up in one word.......excellence !!

If you want Great rates, good consistent customer service and all of the online services of the big banks then bank here. I wouldnt bank anywhere else.

My Auto Loan Experience with Gerardo Ocampo at Spacecity Credit Union was incredibly magnificent. Went in to open a new account. I was greeted with friendly welcoming greeting. Jasmine was the banker that worked with me and she delivered great customer service. Happy to have joined space city credit union.

My advice to new members who are opening new accounts or in general for anything. Go to Lyana she gots your back, she went the extra mile, Got to the point, and she explain everything detail by detail the process was easy. I left with a good impression specially with the App I love it!!! . I’m sticking with them :)

I have received three instrument loans from Space City Credit Union (formerly Houston Musicians Credit Union) and I cant speak highly enough about the generosity and professionalism of Gerry Ocampo, who worked with me and my father. Gerry and Space City have made the process of procuring a new instrument, important to my career as a violinist, so easy and worry free. I give my fullest recommendation to anyone needing financial assistance to purchase a new instrument.

I normally dont like to write negative reviews, but positive ones, However I was left disappointed and frustrated of how SCCU works. I was turned down because they couldnt find my REAL address in the system and they dont accept my REAL, OFFICIAL AND LEGAL documents which have been issued by the United States of America by the Government. Either I talked to an inexperienced bank teller or their system do not work properly. They kept me on waiting for more than one month for proof of residence to turned me down at the end. Unfair and unprofessional. 2 stars because I wish i had talk to Ms. Karla for a better explanation instead of Ms. Jazmine. For the future clients, I hope you think it twice before doing businesses with them. Lesson learned for me.

I have been a member here for 15 years, However, after time all things fade. This was a great institution but now a days they are nickle and diming us to death due to greed. you should focus on what made you a great institution and go back to what worked. I think I can speak for all members on the fact that we are not interested in making your fat cat share holders fatter due to greed. we are the ones that keep you in business and you should think about that.

Our account with another credit union was merged into Space City without notice. They began charging account maintenance fees that our previous credit union did not, and then sent us the first statement (our only communication from them at all) showing the fee deductions after they had taken it from our account. Very deceptive company. I certainly recommend avoiding them and using one of the many reputable credit unions in the Houston area.

Great customer service! The atmosphere is always welcoming! The fact that their products and services are very competitive is also an added bonus.

The benefit of using this credit union is the personal attention you receive. If you are tired of being treated like a number this is the place to turn to. They care about their members and have every banking need covered. I just signed up for Pop Money and I love it! You can send money to someone elses account with just a touch of a button. I have banked with Space City Cu since 2012 and I absolutely love it! I have a car loan, credit cards and even personal loans with them and they really helped get my husband and my credit together. This is the perfect bank and have been all about there customers since day 1!

Definitely not happy with the customer service. I feel like I wasted my vacation at dealerships because they drug their feet. Also, they say they would call back, but they never do. I tried to get a motorcycle financed for about 6 days and, after my application went through, they said I had to put 10% down (shouldn’t that have been prior knowledge?). I wasted a lot of my time.

Customer service is always excellent and goes beyond my expectations every time. BIG shout out and thanks to Carla for her professionalism.

Space City CU has excellent customer service. I just recently financed a second car with them and utilized their Dealer Select Program - I have to say that it was the least stressful car-buying experience by far.

I have been with Space City for the last couple of years and the customer service has went way down. The lack of knowledge from customer service is disappointing. The wait time for help from customer service is even worst. Good luck to all the future members but I think I will be taking my business somewhere else.
