Our familys experience with Dr. Christine Block was nothing short of a nightmare. She was unreliable, unprofessional, and mostly uncaring in our time of distress and need. We arranged for appointments through Authentic Healing and Counseling for our son who was having extreme OCD and anxiety issues and feeling suicidal. We sent Dr. Block an email prepping her with a little background info concerning our sons current state of mind and she responded back that she had not time to meet with our son and that she was currently research. OK, so we called the office and Gina told us that she had two appointments available, and she guaranteed that she could see my son. I questioned this and was again assured by Gina that this was the case. She had an appointment with my son on 10/08 which she canceled because she could not find a quiet place to have the teleconference with him. On 10/12 my son finally got to meet with Dr. Christine Block and even though she was aware that my son was severely depressed and suicidal she was gruff, uncaring and insensitive with him and basically wanted to get him off of the phone as she claimed that my insurance would not pay for his treatment as he was already seeing two other therapist which was not correct. She reluctantly finished the session. 10/14 she missed her scheduled counseling session with my son. We received many messages from Authentic Healing and Counseling verifying and reminding us of future appointments with Dr. Christine Block and other therapists that we were unaware of appointments with. I called the office very frustrated as we had signed an agreement that we would be charged if we missed any scheduled appointments so I was naturally concerned that we would be charged for all the scheduled appointments that we were receiving notices for. I spoke with a gentlemen and he said the other appointments were set in error and we would not be charged for these so I warned him that we would not pay for those as we had already been charged for an appointment that was supposed to be paid for by our Insurance Company and was not as the counselor they had assigned us was not in our insurance network. This was an error on Authentic Healing and Counseling as we were told prior to the appointment that she was. We were charged $87.67 for this session even though we had met our full out of pocket limit on our health insurance for 2021. We ask Authentic Healing and Counseling concerning this and were told we would be refunded this amount. After all this I received a phone call from Dr. Christine Block personally that she would no longer be able to see my son as I was calling the office and harassing them. Can you imagine dealing with all that I am dealing with and then the one place I am going to get some relief is so cold and callused from the very first moment of contact with Dr. Christine Block. It is enough to make you lose faith in humanity. I have in the last month spent weeks finding help for my son as most counselors are booked up due to Coronavirus related therapy issues. Additionally, as of today 10/21/21 we have not received a refund from Authentic Healing and Counseling.

Gina did a wonderful job helping me to handle the stress (and stressors) in my life. I cannot recommend her enough.
