I visited Hopkins Eye Clinic this past week for a long overdue eye exam. Historically Ive gone elsewhere, but based on great feedback I decided to try out this clinic. From check in, to the exam to picking out glasses, everyone I dealt with was incredibly friendly and helpful. I was able to pick out a new set of frames much quicker than expected and for less $$$ than I expected. All told, I would definitely recommend Hopkins Eye Clinic to family and friends.

1 month and $700 glasses still not here and no word on when.

Kelly, Dr. Langemo and Sergio were all so pleasant during my visit today. Each of them explained every process that we went through, I left feeling very informed and like all of my expectations were exceeded. I was sent home with a trial pair of contacts and Kelly was even generous enough to give me with a bottle of contact solution and a case. So glad I chose Hopkins Eye Clinic for my eye care since moving to Minnesota, I will be a customer for life. Thank you!

I am new to the area and found Hopkins Eye Clinic on Google. They live up to all the 5 star reviews. The staff was outstanding, small town feel with excellent customer service. From the phone call, to the receptionist to meeting with Dr. H, they really have your best interest in mind. They are are down to earth and with over 75 years in the community I highly recommend stopping here for eye care needs. Very impressed!

I wonder how this place is in business…….The worst customer service ever and the only clinic that does not provide their warranty in writing. Also, the facility is not a kid’s friendly and I will suggest any one with kids to stay away from it; For sure, I will never ever go back to it or recommend any one to go there…..All these positive review appears to be paid Social Media Marketing or stack holders....not a true clients....

Hopkins Eye Clinic is a wonderful clinic. They have a great optical department and their Doctors are the best. I see Dr. Aaron Mejstad. I am always completely happy with his exams. He is very professional and does a very complete visit. I highly recommend him and the clinic.

Dr. Langemo was amazing to work with. I hadnt been to the eye doctor in probably a decade. I was unsure of many of the machines and procedures, and he not only talked me through every aspect of the appointment, but was kind, helpful, and even knew more about the Twins outfield than I did, which is SAYING something. I got there early and got in early, timing was great, the staff was warm, welcoming, and friendly from entry to exit. Highly recommended.

I enjoy working with Dr. Hersman because he helps me understand my macular degeneration better. The opticians have all been very helpful.

My husband and I both went in and had our eyes examined and had much needed thorough exams. It turns out that I didnt need glasses any longer and my husband did (he was long overdue for an exam). My husband picked out some really nice glasses and also a great pair of Raybans. He is VERY happy with them. We couldnt be happier with the service we got.This is our clinic from now on.This clinic was recommended to us by a friend.

What a wonderful experience! It was my first time at the clinic, and Dr. Langemo listened to my concerns, helped me fix my problem, which overall made me feel welcomed! The staff helping me check in were friendly, inviting and did a great job working with billing, getting my contacts ordered and answering my questions!! Id send anyone I know here, great experience!

The staff is always super friendly when Im there! Dr Hersman answers all my questions and explains everything perfectly. The lady who helped me with my new glasses a couple years ago was super nice and helpful with picking out frames that looked good on me and selecting the additions for the lenses. I recommend coming here and seeing for yourself!

The staff here is amazing at all levels. They are knowledgeable about the benefit programs and take the time to explain everything to you - in a way that is very easy to understand. Ive moved from Hopkins, and this place isnt terribly convenient anymore; but Id never go anywhere else for my eye exams. I cant rave about this place enough.

I have used the Hopkins Eye Clinic for several years while wearing contact lenses and have always been pleased. In addition to regular eye care, I had cataract surgery through the Hopkins Eye Clinic. They did not perform the actual surgery but they did a very good job of referrals, suggestions and followup care. They outlined the possible choices but the final choice was mine - with no pressure. The referred surgeon was excellent. It has been nearly two years and there have been no complications or problems and - best of all - I can see clearly again.

This is the perfect clinic for anyone who wants a small-office, personalized dental experience with a professional, friendly staff. The doctor and staff make you feel like family. I highly recommend Hopkins Eye Clinic!

New patient. I was expecting at least a friendly hello and welcome when I arrived. I got a very businesslike greeting and handed the clipboard and told to fill it out and turn it in. The doctor was very friendly and social and he made up for the less friendly front staff. The young lady whom takes care of ordering the glasses at that time did her job well and was pleasant to deal with.The real issue comes when after getting you new glasses if you find that the prescription isn’t cutting it as it’s not right. When One attempts to describe the problem this same young lady pretty much goes on the defensive and insists she checked everything twice and every thing is correct ignoring the details from the wearer that the lenses don’t allow for clear vision and that there is a problem with them.It’s only after heading to Lens Crafters and sitting down with an individual there that preforms the same role for them, that they actually listen to the customer and figure out what the problem is and how it needs to be corrected.The rating is for the actual doctor and his great treatment. From reading the other reviews it is my opinion that if you don’t have any issues with your prescription that the other reviews are correct.I had issues and the problem solving skill set and treatment I received warrants my rating. I had to go to another company to get the issue fixed.I will add that I am satisfied with the way they handled my dissatisfaction and acknowledged they were unable to resolve my issues.

I have been using this clinic since I moved to Hopkins in 2009. Great People Great service. Since using this clinic I have found out the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Twins use this clinic for their players check ups . That has to mean something. I have come into the clinic to get adjustments on my glasses, get bent frames fixed, get screws tightened, get lost screws put in. They always do it without Question. They dont check if you are a customer, they just fix them for free. I like that.

We are 100% satisfied with every aspect of Hopkins Eye Clinic. It begins with their support staff and electric reminders and obviously professional eye doctors who do not rush your visit. We have purchased our prescription glasses there because they are always willing to adjust them at no cost to you for Years. Honestly they preform miracles.

My job title requires an annual eye exam i have been with hopkins eye clinic since 2015 and would highly recommend this clinic to any one.

I recently had an irritation in my right eye. I was seen early the next day and prescribed drops which started healing the scratch within 24 hours. Squeezed in a follow up visit the next day and have had no other issues. A great caring staff to work with.

I have been going here for nearly 10 years and have nothing but good things to say. Dr. Mjelstad is very knowledgeable, answers all of my questions and concerns thoroughly, and takes the time to try out many different options, if his original option isnt best for me. Highly recommend!

This is the worst eye clinic i have ever been, because i ordered glasses for my daughter and we were waiting almost two weeks i called first, and she said that its estimate delivery will be Friday ok so i called on Thursday and she and the manager both told me i picked all ready!!!! What? I said i never come to you guys and picked any thing what are you talking and the manager kept insisting the my wife or daughter one of them picked the glasses and l said they are right here with me right now and asked they if they picked THEY both said. NO. Iim the only one who picks or buys grocery any the manager said to me, like tall me if the glasses broke or lost i can reorder them?? And i said Really! We never picked!!!! Any way it’s experience now i know this place and i will never go again and i will make sure that family and friends don’t ever go there either because they are fraud really they are so peaple just carefull!!!!!!!!!!!! I just spoke to the manager and he was great and he apologized what happened but the lady that was rude i wil find out her name

Dr. Langemo was great and answered all of my questions. He informed me every step of the way what each assessment was looking for and was extremely friendly. He was very detailed in his explanations of his findings and used language that was understandable to someone who wasnt very knowledgeable about optometry. Afterwards, a bubbly woman helped me find the best fitting glasses and listened to my needs and wants in getting glasses that helped me find the best pair for myself. This place is great! Im definitely going back in the future!

I went to Hopkins Eye Clinic after and annoying billing experience at another eye clinic (took me months to get it straightened out) and I couldnt be happier that I ended up at Hopkins Eye Clinic. My exam and contact lens purchase went off without a hitch with great service the second I walked through the door. I recentlycalled to order several different contacts (color, daily and overnight) and it turned out when I had my fitting we had not fitted the overnight. But I had some overnight fitted by the prior clinic, so Tish I believe her name was offered to call the other clinic then talk to the doctor to see if we could order those contacts and avoid my coming in, and that is exactly what happened, and she called me back right away and my contacts were in two days later. I am very happy with the service at Hopkins Eye Clinic.

I have been visiting Hopkins Eye Clinic and seeing Dr. Mjelstad for over 10 years. I have always enjoyed my visits with him and chatting about the Twins! He listens, offers options and advice, and seems to always have the time to answer all of my questions. Tish and Sergio in the dispensary are AWESOME. They have always treated me like a neighbor and friend. They have made choosing eyewear fun, with their enthusiasm and humor. I wholeheartedly recommend this clinic and all their services.

Ive been going to the Hopkins Eye Clinic for 10 plus years. I trust my eyes to all of the staff including the receptionists who are very helpful and professional even when I was having a bad day like a temper tantrum kid.They forgave me thank goodness other wise I have to go to these pop up roll as many people through the doors type of eye places . Therefore not getting a the complete deep exam that Dr. Hershman gives me for my eyes and for contacts. All of my prescription are 100% correct. He cares about you especially when I wear my contacts way past date to. In all its a wonderful place to get your eyes taken care of. Any questions I have are always answered promptly by staff. I would recommend Hopkins Eye clinic to all my family and friends. In fact I have!

Dr. Langmoe is by far the best Optometrist I have ever had. After years of going to big box stores for my eyes, i wanted to try something different. Dr. Langmoe listens, and then actually remembers what I tell him. Way better than the impersonal production based eye appointments!

Best eye doctor Ive ever been to, friendly, fast, and knowledgeable.

I went to this clinic to get my eyes checked for years. Used to be the main eye doctor did a thorough job, the person selling glasses was pretty good, etc.A few months ago I was falling behind at work and put on probation. I realized that one problem I had was that as I had gotten older my eyes with contacts werent as good at viewing computer screens as they used to be. And my glasses from 15 years ago had gotten old and werent working that well any more - the lens had even developed a yellow coloring etc. I needed new glasses ASAP, I had been to hopkins eye clinic only 1 year ago to have my eyes checked (2 years is the legal limit for contacts).The moment I walked in I got that feeling you get with slimy salespeople. And sure enough, I was quickly on the end of a whole bunch of bull. They told me they couldnt sell me glasses unless I payed to go through through having my eyes checked again - and they couldnt get me in for an appointment for 2 weeks. When I went home it turns out they were lying - not only is not not true, minnesota state law actually requires them to make glasses for anyone with an existing prescription no matter how old the prescription is. The girl at the front desk had this big salesperson grin and attitude like she was really enjoying screwing people over.I got fired from my job when I was unable to keep up with everyone else because I was having trouble seeing the screen. A month later I got glasses from another place, and they were just as expected - my vision improved dramatically especially looking at a computer screen. Had hopkins eye clinic simply gotten new glasses for me, Id still have the job. I would have been able to say look, I got new glasses and my performance went up dramatically and I would have been fine.Its bad enough when you I have to deal with this attitude at places that Im not a current customer.But being treated this way as an existing paying customer at their clinic within the last 2 years? I cant even write the words Id use to describe my contempt for them or my review would be deleted for foul language. I will never be going back to these jerks. They lied to me, about something that state law says they cannot do, and go me fired from my job.
