Shout out to JE today for taking care of my EEG this morning. Hes professional and personable. He took the time calmly to explain the process and to inform me if something may cause discomfort (ex. removing the adhesive on the wires or when the lights would be turned on). I felt well taken care of and hope to get him again for my next EEG.

I was at the Liliha Street location on Tuesday, October 12, to have a EEG. J E (Jason) was very professional and explained everything clearly before starting. During the relaxing test, he even had me sleeping through part of it!!! I very much appreciated him and what he did.

We received excellent service. The Doctor took his time and answered all the questions we had. Sometimes the diagnoses are not what you want to hear, but it is a relief knowing what lies ahead going forward.

It was difficult to get my initial appointment, but everything after that was a breeze! The sleep study rooms are really comfortable and my nurse was great and informative. Highly recommend this facility.

I absolutely recommend Hawaii Pacific Neuroscience. I had an amazing experience having to spend 3 nights in the monitored sleep lab. In my time there I was able to meet Jason, Jason, John and Daphne. These 4 highly professional people were not only knowledgeable, caring, accommodating but really went out of their way to make those 3 nights and 4 days quite comfortable and pleasant despite my being taped up with wires hanging from my head for that long. I was very thankful for all they did for me during my stay. Id also like to add a great big Thank You to Dr. Kore Liow. I researched neurologists here on the island and I found Dr. Liows podcast on his website. I was so impressed with his caring, selfless, and highly educated background. When I was finished watching that very informative podcast I knew that was the doctor I needed to see. Ive seen him twice and each time his office staff were super friendly and I never had to wait too long before I was seen. Its very evident that Dr. Liow has a heart and a passion for what he does. He could long have been retired sipping a glass of wine on the beach soaking up the rays but instead is devoting his life to his patients that he very obviously cares for. Dr. Liow and all the technicians are amazing. My 5 star rating is strictly based on my meetings with them. I had a seizure between my 1st and 2nd appointment. Dr. Liow recommended a VEEG, 3 night/4 day study. All the technicians were helpful and friendly. They made my stay very comfortable and put my mind at ease. Dr. Liow is very easy to talk to and makes sure that I understand everything he discusses with me. I highly recommend Hawaii Pacific Neurology.Side note: the ones that set up appointments and contacts me between visits do need to work on better communication. Twice they have contacted me regarding prescriptions and told me they would call me back once the prescription was sent to pharmacy of choice. I waited days for a call back and hadn’t received one. I finally went to the pharmacy and found that it had been waiting for pickup. It would be very helpful if they call back when they say they will.

Living on Maui there are very limited resources for neurology which is why I chose to look on Oahu for a neurologist. I am so impressed with my experience so far at this facility. I was able to get a next day telehealth appointment with Dr. Vajjala and I am so thankful I was able to see such an amazing provider! I highly recommend her as she is very knowledgeable, professional, and genuine in her care to her patients. In addition, telehealth went SO smoothly and it was so easy! I wish I knew the other staff members names as they were all so kind and professional. I’m very satisfied with my decision to seek care and be treated at this facility.

God sent us to Dr. Kore Liow. The staff were amazing and personable. He even gave us a blessing. God is good.

Doctor was an hour late, did not even read my medical scans or records. Made excuses for not having my records even though I had them sent over from several people. Last time I ever go to a rude doctor from this practice . They only focus on people with certain insurance and everyone else is trash I guess.

Complete waste of time and unprofessional. It took two tele-health appointments and me calling the office repeatedly to get to the conversation where they either wanted to sell me on an expensive sleep study (which only diagnoses whether or not you have sleep apnea which I do not) or they do nothing at all for you. It would seem that their only business is to sell expensive studies and C-PAP machines and bill your insurance for tele-appointments that you dont need. If you have any other type of sleep disorder they shrug their shoulders. They dont even have a specialist CBT on staff and that is all they recommend if you dont have sleep apnea. What a joke.

Great doctor, upon my exspouses 1st visit, Dr.Kaminsakas took time with me , explaining and showing me my MRI images.He answered my questions with patience. He has compassion and shows much concern and care for his patients. I highly recommend him to others.

After decades of dealing with neurologists across the world, I have come to the firm conclusion that while many are good and well intentioned people, neurologists can not handle “mechanical injuries”. Neurosurgeons or orthopedic surgeons are an order of magnitude better in capability in at least understanding injuries related to structural injuries(especially if they are rare). Neurologists seem , for the most part, to be stamped from the same mold, from a neurologist factory. I’m sure that they do a great job with fairly well understood diseases like ALS, Parkinson’s or various dementias. Throw a compressive aircraft ejection seat injury at them that is progressively degenerative, causing massive cervical and cluster (trigeminal) headaches (the worst known pain a human being is know to be capable of experiencing) , and all they want to do is try tired and totally ineffective remedies. A diagnosis of complex situations can take decades to make and an educated patient is the best source of a solution when there is no possible cure.This is all from the #1 Neuro/Ortho surgeons on Earth, the guys that the NFL superstars, Olympians or the best, hard core Pilots go to to get as well as is possible. Synopsis: have a disease like Dr. Stephen Hawking (Oxford University) Lou Gehrig (New York Yankees), or a family member with any form of dementia, and neurologists are the ticket. If your problem is mechanical or dural in nature, seek out the best SURGEON that you can find.The people at Hawaii Pacific Neuroscience seem to be VERY qualified to do what Neurologists do; treat well understood diseases of the nerves. If you have an injury, skip the Neurologists and go straight to the best surgeon you can find. This is good advise. I recommend Hawaii Pacific Neuroscience.
