So we got some snow over the weekend and my wife went this morning to get some blood work done and upon exiting the vehicle slipped on a patch of ice and injured her right arm and shoulder. I realize it is winter. She went in and told them what happened and the receptionist said yeah I just called to get that taken care of. This should have not been a issue seeing as the snow we had gotten was from this past weekend. Not acceptable. Hopefully nothing is broken.

Doctors are great if you can get someone to answer the phone to make an appointment.

Its very difficult to speak with a receptionist. Expect to be on hold for several minutes in order to set up an appointment.

Absolutely horrible!!! I’ve been a patient for 20 years and now looking for another doctor! The DOCTORS are great but the staff are the WORSE!!!! No one answers the phones, good luck getting your prescriptions filled. So many times my pharmacy has given me emergency refills because staff doesn’t return their fax. I’ve called and complained, filled out surveys,... doesn’t help, everything goes unanswered.

I had been a patient since birth but will be changing offices immediately. I spent the last two weeks calling daily only to have NONE of my calls to obtain a referral returned. I went into the office on Monday and asked for a status update and they said they would walk back and check on it and call me back. Two days later, I sat in the waiting room until they printed me the referral that I needed so that I could continue my 18-year ongoing treatment without getting an enormous bill from my new insurance company. ALL I NEEDED WAS A REFERRAL! They have a specific line on the phone service JUST for referrals. Enjoy your medical grievance that will be filed...I am sure I wont be the first in the pile.

Incompetent receptionists will lie to you about prescription refills— you will not get your medication in a reasonable amount of time.

I once thought highly of Dr A. However, he apparently thinks that its okay to prescribe controlled substances to former employees with the knowledge that the person is selling them. He was provided proof and turned a blind eye to whole thing.

If you have an appointment make sure to show up an hour late so youre only waiting 30 minutes...

Good doctors with an absolutely terrible front desk. The administrative staff bleeds we dont care. Calls are ignored. Insurance information is misfiled or lost. This front office would be perfectly at home in any government organization that would delay care, not help people, and act like absolute socialism.

I really like Dr. Annis. Hes nice and understanding and takes the time to listen to you but Im so close to switching offices so I dont have to deal with the staff. They never answer the phone and when you leave a message 8/10 times no one ever calls you back. Its really frustrating.

Even after Dr Nieusma said she had them okay me for next day appointments due to cronic ongoing sickness in our home the staff continues to just not give her my messages. While theyre having all this customer satisfaction building since McLaren took over, their focus is on getting to a building with more parking for more patients rather than address the front off staff issues with attitude and lack of communication. McLaren is the problem. Make sure to continue to let your doctor themselves know all the issues you are having as the staff will not give your messages to your doctor. I like Dr Nieusma very much but we are probably looking for a new doctor because of McLaren. I just wish there was a way to Google non McLaren- takeover-likely Dr Offices. This is the second perfect functional pleasant Doctors office theyve ruined for us. We came to HFP to get away from our last Dr theyd taken over and ruined. McLaren is 💯 about $ and 0% abound patient care or satisfaction.

The physicians are very thorough and take their time with you. They listen to you and are able to electronically send information (wise use of medical equipment - up-to-date current). The office hours are very adaptable to your schedule. The receptionists are friendly.

Absolutely atrocious! Before being bought by McLaren they cared. Since then the staff could not care less about patients... Aka, customers. The doctors are over scheduled. Youll never be seen on time and if you need a prescription refill or referral, expect to do your own research, calls to your insurance company and follow up with the office for a week at minimum to get anything accomplished.

The doctors are amazing, as long as you can get past the front desk “ladies” (and I use that term loosely). I’ve been coming here for 15 years-not anymore. The have ZERO customer service and little to no heart/passion for their role. It’s veru SAD!!!

I have been traveling to see Dr. Wellemeyer for close to thirty years. He is a kind and caring doctor and most of all you can trust him. The staff on the other hand has been a constant turn over of employees, to bad they cant keep good help!

These doctors care about you. I have been going here for over 10 years, and yes, things have changed since McLaren took over. Missing some regular faces up front, but the new staff are learning. Yesterday I left a message for one of the doctors and within hours they had an answer for me. (now who does that?!) When I am healthy or down for the count, they are the ones I want by my side.

I have been going to holt family practice for well over ten years. I have had a great collaborative relationship with my doctor. He is supported by an excellent staff that make my visits or requests their primary concert. Holt Family Practice digitized all of their medical records years ago giving my doctor instant access to my history, accurate management of my meds, test results and accurate billing. Finally, their waiting room is almost always empty due to their excellent scheduling so patients dont have to wait.

Excellent! I have SEVERE white coat phobia and HATED going to the doctors office. Dr. Richardson (retired) and Dr. Wellemeyer have changed my lifetime of fear of doctors into a near pleasant experience. They listen and try to help you ,, if they need to they will refer you to someone who can help if they cant. They are thorough, pleasant to talk with and non judgemental . . Great bedside manner coupled with extreme medical intelligence equals what everyone tries to find in a physician. I am very blessed to have the medical team of Holt family practice on my side! Thank you!
