Always a pleasant experience for me and my daughters. Dr. Bouwens is awesome and we always have him work with our special needs teen. The new office is inviting and comfortable. Our assistant was incredible too. I think her name was Nikki but I’m not 100% sure. Our appointment was 10/13 at 4:00 if that helps figure out who the assistant for our daughter Nicole was.

The best pediatric dentist office around! We drive about a hour to get here but I wouldn’t change it for the world. They listen to my concerns and help ease my kids. My son has a processing disorder and they help by explaining what they are getting to use each time and every thing they use. Love them!

Wonderful staff. We have been with them for 10 years. Special needs are met and treated with respect. We love this practice.

I have a 1 year old and 3 year old. We have been coming here since my 3 year old was 1 and we love the staff and location. Everyone is so sweet and knowledgeable. Our last visit was in July and both my kids were more comfort then the time before, they were so excited to get their teeth cleaned and especially to get their treats. I am so comfortable with this location and staff that I’ll keep making the drive to make sure my kids are taken care of

This was my daughters first dentist experience and it was so awesome. The hygienist: Morgan was so sweet and gentle with my 2 year old. She made the experience fun and involved so my daughter wasn’t scared. The dentist that saw her after the hygienist, was also amazing, he was very informative and took time to talk to me and didn’t just make me feel like another patients parent.Very inviting and kid friendly environment!Thank you West Michigan Pediatric Dentistry for a phenomenal experience! I would recommend this place to everyone.

Dr. Morgan is amazing! She took the time to explain every tool she would use to fill our daughter’s cavity, and spoke in easy to understand language. Dr. Morgan’s demeanor put our daughter at ease. I would highly recommend her!

We love West MI Pediatric dentistry! We have a big family and they do their best to get us all seen in a timely manner. The staff is so friendly and fun! The dentists are wonderful with my kiddos and have great communication.

They were so great when it came to having patience with my wild child. One of the assistants even walked around with my son so I could fill out paper work and the dentist was super fast as well as professional and polite! Definitely recommend bringing your child here!

My 2 year old fell and broke his molar. They got us in quickly to check it out. They also worked extremely hard to get us fit in the next day for an extraction so he wouldn’t have to wait until the next week. I am very grateful and happy with our entire experience with them.

My kids have been going here for 15 years! I wouldn’t consider any other dentist office for them. The staff is amazing, they wear cool shoes, and the new location is beautiful and convenient. All around great office!

Would NOT recommend!!! The doctor herself degraded my 5 year old to her face! My daughter was nervous as it was, and was crying, and the doctor told her “I have 1 year olds that act better than you!” That didn’t help anything!!! Then the office wouldn’t let me take my other kids in the waiting room; saying there was “absolutely no room for extra kids due to Covid.” Absolutely ridiculous! If you want to find a pleasant dentist office that will make your kid feel safe and comfortable, don’t choose this one!!!

I took my newly turned two son in for his first appointment. The setup is excellent, closed spaces so he could only wander where I could see him. Theres a train in the waiting area that goes through to where the appointment happens too which was very exciting for my son. There was a tv in the lobby with kids shows on. Every staff member we met was kind and friendly, and the hygienist Erin and Dr. Bowens really had a good approach with my son. He had a successful visit, and while he was not letting any straws in his mouth, he did allow his teeth to be brushed and fluoride to be put on. A successful first visit of many!

Both of our kids have done excellent with the hygienists and dentists at West Michigan Pediatric Dentistry. The office is super kid friendly and makes going to the dentist fun! Very professional too!

This was our 2nd visit to West Michigan Pediatric Dental and I dont see us going anywhere else! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The doctors are thorough with explanations and made my son feel so much more comfortable than at our regular dentist office. We just switched all three of our kids to this office!

Firstly, the dentist we saw was terrific. He did a wonderful job explaining what needed to happen and then interacting with my son during the treatment.I’ve subtracted one star because the dental assistant gave us bad advice regarding insurance, and we needed to pay $700 out of pocket.Finally, one star was subtracted because once I did get the insurance straightened out and tried to check out. The receptionist lady didn’t even deign to look at our new insurance card. Instead, she was so certain that we had the former insurance that they didn’t accept and that we were informed of this. There was no reason she couldn’t have said something like, “Oh, you have new insurance. Sounds good! Let me just look it up in our system.” At which point, she would’ve seen that I indeed was telling the truth. Really, giving people the benefit of the doubt and verifying is so much more polite and courteous than acting snooty.So, if you’re looking for great dental care with customer service that is severely wanting, then this is the place.

They were supposed to see my nephew they instead threw a fit and said they had reason to believe he had insurance other then the Delta dental plan my sister presented they wanted her court docket for child support and they refused to see him after we had driven all the way to Holland from eau Claire they kept calling and trying to get her to pay 49 and keep saying they have reason to believe he has other insurance they are very rude they are not worth the drive

What a beautiful new space! Given the circumstances of 2020, the staff is very conscious of health & safety. Very friendly hygienists that were prompt & thorough. All of the doctors are amazing as well! We love WMPD!

Called and the lady was rude and I asked her a question and she said cant help and hung up??? Rude much?

The new office is nicely done the staff is the same friendly, helpful, compassionate people as before. They have done a great job on all my kids and I recommend them any chance I can!

My son is 3 and in opinion had some major issues going on with his teeth! And instead of the Dr the making me feel like I was a bad parent for them he understood how it became and wanted to help my husband and I brainstorm what options were best for him! Ms. Dani was great too how she was able to to get my 3 year old sit for X-rays is beyond me! She demonstrated in fun ways what all the dental tools were including allowing him to spray us with the water. He loved it!

Every visit weve had to West Michigan Pediatric Dentistry has been overwhelmingly positive! We arrived at this practice after my family dentist recommended them for my child who had mild anxiety about dental treatment. We loved it so much we decided to continue regular dental visits for all of our kids, going on 10 years now!

Our dental hygienist was Dani and she was the greatest ever! Our daughter was very nervous but she really did a fantastic job. Deserves a raise after our daughter.Great office. Incredible staff.Thank you Dani!

The dentist team is top notch and the hygienists are great with the kids. My 13-yr old daughter said in the car on the way home, The dental hygienist cleaning my teeth was so nice. We love having a great pediatric dental office to take it kids to.

It saddens me to give this office such a low rating. I was a patient up until I turned 18 and my siblings have as well but unfortunately that is no longer the case. Weve been faithful with our appointments for so many years because we understand the importance of their time and ours. Recently we had to cancel one appointment the day of the appointment, in the morning. I understand its a bit of a late notice but it is still better than simply not showing up. The receptionist was extremely rude and snappy over the phone. To be sincere she has always been this way since we started going there. Afterwards we received a letter discontinuing care for all of my siblings from the office because we were respectful enough to call and cancel an appointment instead of no showing it. An unfortunate situation.The two stars are only because Dr. Sterken was the best doctor there for so many reasons. Also the dental assistants at that time who worked with him were very kind and wonderful. The best team there has ever been at that office.Hopefully they train their receptionist to be more tactful and have better customer service.

Had to bring my daughter in to see a specialist because her dentist couldn’t do what was needed and the staff is absolutely amazing from the front desk to the physician! Out of network for my insurance and I didn’t think twice coming back for her other work needed! Highly recommend this office for children!!!

My 4 year old daughter had her top two front teeth bent badly back when she fell while running. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful and made her feel at ease as they checked things out and then straightened her teeth back out. The dentist and all the rest of the staff were so helpful and saw us immediately even though they were busy. They did such a wonderful job I cant imagine how they could have done any better. If I could give six stars I would.

Great staff & overall an awesome dentist office. My child had an problem occur after losing her top tooth on a Sunday and I called Monday morning - they were able to get her in that same day! Would highly recommend West MI pediatric dentistry.

We love this dentist. they are great with kids and kids will enjoy the kid friendly atmosphere. A train goes around the office, theres a great saltwater fish tank, a prize bin after teeth cleaning!

They were amazing!My four year old had to have a tooth pulled and the Dr was amazing! my daughter had a wonderful experience and isnt traumatized in the least bit! They do a payment plan which also helps because i dont have insurance.

We were running late this morning so I called to let them know we would be there 15 minutes late. First off most people wouldnt call in the first place which was obviously my first mistake. I was asked to not bring my kids in that this wouldnt work for them. I have been bringing my kids here for like 11 years and weve never been late but have also NEVER not one time been taken back at the designated time of our appts. We have always been left to sit out in the waiting area. Motto of the story is this is a good dentist and the hygienists are very friendly and good with the kids but the office side must be poorly managed. Come in sit down and wait your turn with no flexibility in return for them bad starts.

The staff in the front and even the manager are so rude. The dentist and back staff awesome. But the front makes them look so bad because of the way they talk to you and treat you. I told the manager I was going to go write a review and he said okay thats fine go ahead like he didnt even care.I work with people everyday in my office and I like to make them feel wanted and respected . I would do whatever I could to turn the situation around and make them happy again . Them... They could careless bc they know there are very few child dentist in Holland and people have no choice but to put up with how rude they are . Very sad...

Unhelpful receptionist. I called to make an appointment for my one year olds and the receptionist couldn’t give me a straight answer about our insurance. We only have the highest coverage of bccs. She basically said it might be covered and or might not. Very short on the phone. Who has time for that kind of behavior.

If I could give this place a 0 star I would.The people here are incredibly rude.They had me waiting on the phone for 30 minutes and answered very rudely after I had been waiting on the line for sooo long and they never answered my questions. What a waste of my time!!!Never again will I take my children here again .

I think it b.s if you bring your children to them all there life and when they turn 15 and hadnt needed to see them for 2 years, but this is the only dentist they know and he needs a filling and they refuse treatment for him and say how he would be better off with a different dentist... Thats straight up b.s !!!! All because he didnt need to see them for anything for a while.. Dont let your kids get to comfortable with them because they can refuse to see your kids at anytime for any reason...
