I had had my hearing tested several years ago but having very small ear canals the ear pieces didnt fit and were uncomfortable.When I realized I was hearing what people were saying and making comments that were totally unrelated, I decided to go to Van Doorne Hearing.The first thing I noticed when I went into the room was the card full of hearing aids. They had tiny ear pieces! I decided immediately that my hearing issues would be able to be resolved.I was so impressed with the treatment I received. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. The Van Doorne family has been helping me function at my best since I was five. I was born with a hearing loss and while technology has changed tremendously throughout the years, their care for clients has remained steady. I have since moved out of the state and still go back for care because they are simply the best in both knowledge and customer service! The only audiologist office I would recommend!!

What a wonderful experience! I am still beaming from my appointment this afternoon!! I needed to get a hearing test performed and also ear impressions for in-ears that Im having made since Im a musician. I had previously done ear impressions with a different company and they were done so poorly that the company making my in-ears couldnt even use them! :( I searched on the web, gave Van Doorne Hearing Care a call, and scheduled an appointment.The staff were kind and professional. Van Doorne has been awesome. I lost full hearing in one ear and they have been very helpful. They work with your schedule and it’s clear they are genuinely committed to helping you leave happy with your hearing aids. Plus they have an incredibly friendly staff. I honestly thought I would hate wearing the aids but they are very tiny and now it’s hard for me to leave the house without them! Have used hearing aids for 6 years now and was never truly happy with my experience. Karen took the time to listen to my story and between her and her son, they were able to fit me with the perfect instruments. In this brief time Craig explained what he was checking, supplied me with another half years batteries, and explained what to expect at my annual review in October. I was sold with their service. A friendly/warm and sincere reception when calling in for an appointment while answering my questions about my broken hearing aid. When coming in for my appointment, I was 15 minutes late due to the hold-up at the dentist prior to this appointment, it was close to 5 pm on Friday when it would be closed for the weekend, Karen graciously took a look at my hearing aid while I was waiting at the lobby that was so cozy with pretty decos. She returned in less than 5 minutes with my hearing aid back to working miraculously. I was overjoyed that it was a minor tweaking. It was only a $20 service. I also thought I needed a new ear mold as there was a slight crack on the ear mold. Karen didnt think I needed to do it, as the slight crack didnt interfere any functioning. She saved me $100 from a new ear mold. She also saved me from any unnecessary repairs if it were from some other places that would drain money from me unnecessarily. A honest place to deal with. I am coming back there from now on and for my future new hearing aids and ear molds. And referrals to your place! :)

I went to Van Doorne Hearing many years ago and have always been extremely satisfied. Their professional care and knowledge and office cleanliness, accommodating staff have always been there for all my needs. I spoken to some of my patients about their experience and they usually ask for Van Doornes phone number. My hearing instruments allow me to blue-tooth my phone so I can hear calls in stereo, music in stereo and adjust the sound to my environment. You will not be disappointed.

I recently moved to the area and was without a source for my hearing aid needs. I was at my wits end with feedback problems and unequal sound. Craig did the entire testing and calibration, things that the original provider in Kalamazoo had not done. I am now satisfied that my hearing aids are working to the best ability that they can. And I am pleased to know that someone in the area has the expertise to solve any hearing aid problem that comes up. They took their time with this doubter. Dr. Koning was not only knowledgable but patient with this old guy. I was given lots of time for trials and open ended programs as options. Outcome? Not exactly what I expected, but amazing improvement in many places and circumstances.. Do they work everywhere perfectly? No, there is a learning curve that takes some time. Some places are tougher than others. ie. My middle nurse daughter still talks too soft and fast but I can hear her kids. I had forgotten what birds sound like.

These, local area, lifelong residents, of the Holland area answered ALL my questions and even offered a way for me to pay for the devices (on an interest free basis). This eroded my final objection as to whether or not to proceed in this matter. Their follow-up service and interest, after the purchase continues to be OUTSTANDING!

I chose this office because my mother has been getting her hearing cared for by Karen Van Doorne for over 30 years. Shes the best. The people at this office are experienced, very up-to-date with the latest technology, but most of all they care about their patients quality of life. I was starting to turn the volume up on the TV, and having a lot of trouble hearing on the phone, mostly because I couldnt hear the beginning consonants of words correctly. They tested my hearing very thoroughly and let my try out hearing aids for two weeks. This was during a very stressful time in my life and I just wasnt able to adapt to hearing aids at that time. There was no pressure to purchase and I waited for over a year to contact them again. They may have sent one letter in that time, but no phone calls. Karen & Craig spend unrushed time with you explaining everything you need to know about your particular hearing disfunction, the hearing device and options, and help educate you & your family about lifestyle changes. Ive only had my hearing aids for 6 months, but Ive seen over the years of my moms hearing loss how they go above and beyond to take care of the devices their patients use and the patients themselves.

I took my mother who is 80 years old to get her hearing tested at Van Doorne Hearing. We knew she could not hear very good and learned she had up to 70% hearing loss. Dr Karen Nagelkirk was absolutely amazing with my mom! Dr Nagelkirk spoke clearly and slowly to my mother and I was extremely impressed with her patience with the elderly. She turned my Moms sour attitude in a content and happy one. It was obvious to me that Dr Nagelkirk is very skilled and experienced as a Doctor of Audiology and I would highly recommend her to anyone who has hearing loss. It was a great experience!
