I have been going to Bar Method for almost a full year and it is now my favorite workout! I attend about 3-4 times a week and have definitely seen results- within a few months my friends made comments about how my body was looking more toned. In my very first class, I felt very welcomed and it made trying something new a lot easier (shout out to Julianne!). All the instructors are well trained, super friendly and make adjustments to your form, which I appreciate. Each class is different and challenging- I leave the studio feeling amazing and energized, which is a great way to start the day! If you’re looking to try barre, I highly recommend this studio!

There are so many great things to say about The Bar Method of Hoboken, I dont even know where to begin! The owners, Lucia and Melissa, have created a studio where everyone feels welcomed and part of a community. All of the instructors are extremely personable and make an effort to get to know their clients. I have enjoyed all of the classes they offer and get a great workout every time! Shortly after I started trying out their classes through Class Pass, I knew I wanted to continue and become a Bar Method Unlimited member. I absolutely recommend this studio and suggest you check it out!

Love this place! Ive been coming for a little over 4 months and I see drastic changes to my muscle tone. The studio is beautiful, the instructors are energetic, and they make an effort to learn your name, which makes it very welcoming. I always leave the studio feeling stronger and accomplished. This is truly my happy place! I have been going to the Bar Method for a few years now and I couldn’t be happier that I found it. I started going because I needed a low impact workout due to herniated discs in my spine but I fell in love with the workout. I used to dread going to the gym but always look forward to taking classes at the Bar Method. If you do the workout right, the burn and shake is REAL and your body will thank you. I feel toned and in great shape, due to consistently taking these barre classes. The studio is super nice and the staff are the absolute best. I highly recommend trying it out, you won’t regret it!

After first bar class, I knew this was the workout for me! Ive been going consistently for two years now - the longest Ive ever stuck with a workout. Theres comfort in the familiarity with the class structure,but with so many different moves and variations, no two classes are the same - keeping you on your toes (both literally and figuratively). The small class sizes give you the perfect mix of a personal training feel while feeding off the powerful energy of your fellow bar babes. Sticking with The Bar Method has given me both physical and mental strength. I have been taking classes at this studio for more than 2 1/2 years going from taking one or two classes a week to recently becoming a Club Bar member. The studio is beautiful, the instructors are great and super knowledgeable, and the workout is great. The one on one corrections make me feel like I am getting a safe and effective workout, and the locker rooms make it easy to get in morning workouts before work (pre-quarantine)! Their current virtual schedule is keeping me sane, but I cant wait to get back to the studio!

I started taking classes at the Bar Method last year and it truly has been one of the best decisions I have made. I have seen such a positive change in my fitness, endurance and posture. The instructors at this studio go above and beyond to ensure that when you are doing the exercises, you are completing them with good posture and safe technique! I have been coming to Hoboken Bar Method for a little over a year, and I feel I must leave a review and share my love to this place. I have been taking classes here three or four time a week, and have felt the amazing changes in my body and mind. My body is toned, and strong. I feel a burst of energy and joy after each class. The instructors are very inspiring and upbeat. Staff here are very friendly and helpful. Super nice studio with great energy all around!! It is definitely more than a barre studio, but a community where women are taking care of ourselves and supporting each other!

Genuinely love this studio and location. The space is clean, modern, and bright. They have a ton of free amenities to use (hair products, tools, fully stocked showers, and even coffee!). Everyone who works here, from the front desk to the instructors, is so kind and friendly. The classes themselves are also wonderful. Theyre tough, and only get tougher as you go on and your form improves. I thought they would be repetitive, but the more i do, the more I learn and the more difficult the moves become. Everyone is great at adjusting you so you get the most of the workout, and I love (and am so impressed) how easily the instructors remember and learn names. All around, an amazing experience!!

I took my first Bar Method class at The Bar Method Hoboken almost exactly a year ago and Ive been hooked ever since! First, I absolutely love the studio, its clean, modern has all of the amenities including showers and is just overall relaxing right when you walk in. The staff is always friendly and helpful and they always put a smile on my face even at 5:45am. I love the passion and personalities of all of the instructors and their ability to keep me laughing through a kick butt workout and most importantly leave me feeling so zen at the end with a luxe stretch. As I said I was hooked ever since day one and Im still just as excited to go to class today as I was when I first started. The classes are always challenging and you really do learn and get better and better as you go! This studio is a 10/10 and would totally recommend you try it and stick with it!

Could use to schedule more classes during each day, but otherwise I love my experience every time I go. The instructors are upbeat and positive and really show you the right form and pose for each workout and stretch. Your muscles will get a nice burn and shake, but thats a good thing! The studio itself is also well designed and clean and has an airy open feel to it. Plus theres always free coffee and tea to go.

I fell in love with The Bar Method during my new client one month trial. Not knowing the exact premise of the classes before signing up, I was impressed and shocked (in a good way) after the first class. It was way harder than I expected, but exactly what I needed. As a bride-to-be, I was looking for something that would be fun, tone me up, and be something I want to go to on a regular basis. After that first month, my expectations were set- I was not going to get the results I wanted if I didnt make a commitment to attend more often.I bought a package of classes and decided to commit to trying classes at different times of the day so that I could find the best time and be more consistent. Once I completed those 12 classes I knew that I needed to come back for more. The front desk spoke to me about the packages available and happily supported my membership decision.I cant say enough positive things about The Bar Method. The environment is so positive and all of the instructors are amazing! I really look forward to my 6:30am classes and am happy to have regularly committed myself to this healthy lifestyle change. I highly recommend this gym! I appreciate the clean and kind atmosphere. The owners/instructors are very encouraging and personable. It is a calm place where everyone is focused on their personal best; the range of skill level in every class act as a great motivator. Classes are comfortably sized- your instructor will know you by name. Great feeling of camaraderie by the end of class (they are TOUGH). If you stick with it, you quickly get back what you put in.

This studio really is incredible. The instructors are not only good at what they do (in terms of making sure you get a awesome workout) but they are also fun (many of them are freaking hilarious), knowledgeable, and motivating. I had an injury a while back and never felt like i couldn’t go to my bar method classes thanks to the modifications they gave me. I have never once been able to commit to a gym or workout routine (pretty much in my entire life lol) and I am now about 9 months into my membership and still going several times a week. Love the studio, love the girls, and love the RESULTS. Highly recommend trying it out if you haven’t already!

There is something very unique about The Bar Method Hoboken. I have belonged and worked/taught at other gyms, but the EMPOWERMENT & SUPPORT you feel here is so special. My body has transformed. Best workout for people with injuries! Talk to the instructor before class and they’ll set you up for any adjustments. The locker rooms are super clean and the free products they have at the beauty bar to help you get ready for work after class are awesome.They can always lend you sticky socks if you forget them or you can buy them at the studio.

The studio is in a great location (next to the Path) and is beautiful, clean, and modern. The instructors are consistently great every. single. time. And the workout is as well. I especially appreciate that the instructors are willing to come and help adjust you as needed throughout the class - sometimes several times in my case! But it makes me much more intentional and active in my own workout and is so helpful. I also love that were doing small intense movements that make big impacts. This is by no means a HIIT workout, but it will sculpt and maintain your bod beautifully!

I really enjoyed this class! The instructor was attentive, energetic, motivating and fun and we all had such a great time celebrating Kerrys upcoming wedding with a group barre class. I have visited the studio prior to this group class and I really like the structure of the workout and the instructors. They are consistently attentive and helpful and they push you! The studio is also a large open space and the locker rooms and overall space is clean and inviting.

The Bar Method in Hoboken has made me obsessed with taking barre classes! It is conveniently located right next to the Path so there is never an excuse to miss a workout. The space is beautiful and has all the amenities you could want (showers, lockers, coffee bar, etc.). What truly keeps me coming back is the staff - the individualized attention that every student receives in class is truly unique and all of the teachers are super friendly and encouraging while making sure you are getting in a safe and effective workout. Bright, immaculately clean space. Locker rooms have everything you need to get ready before work (showers filled with products, hairdryers, styling products, oh my!) My first visit to the Bar Method Hoboken was on a buddy pass and I fell absolutely in love! Since then, I’ve been an active member for about a year. The instructors are all very knowledgeable and extremely friendly! They truly take the time to provide hands-on guidance and are passionate about what they do.The studio offers many classes throughout the week - 45, 55 or 60 min. classes and at different difficulty levels. They also have an app which makes signing up for classes super easy and allows for you to keep track of your schedule. What I love most and keeps me motivated are the challenges - you can win awesome prizes!Lastly, the studio and equipment are kept impeccably cleaned! The lockers are also stocked with high end products along with hair styling tools.This barre studio is nothing short of amazing! Here are a few reasons I carve out what may feel like a lot of money to attend classes at Bar Method (Hoboken): 1. The workout: Im sore after every class, no matter how often I attend, even if that quantity is 7 consecutive days.2. The support: The instructors dont set good enough as the threshold for success and are always challenging me to work harder by issuing constructive corrections. The instructors are encouraging cheerleaders, not harsh fitness dictators. 3. The atmosphere: The studio is bright, clean, joyful, and inspiring, no matter what time of day (even: 5:45 AM).

The facilities are beautiful. I like the the addition of the showers and amenities...all top notch. The classes are challenging, and the instructors are fantastic. I dont know how they know everyones names right away, but I feel as if I am receiving personalized and private instruction. As a new student, I wish they would demonstrate some of the exercises, such as, the ab work. Im never sure if Im performing the exercises properly, but the instructors always come around to make adjustments. I do wish the stretches after the thigh work are a few seconds longer. Overall, I am happy with the workout and the services provided.

The Bar Method is the perfect low-impact toning workout to add to your cardio routine. The general structure of class is the same so you can eventually easily follow along, but the actual exercises vary so you always get a fresh new workout. Despite the tiny movements, you can definitely feel the burn! The Hoboken studio space is clean, bright, and inviting, with all the amenities (shower, hair products, lotion, deodorant, etc) to get ready for work or a night out right after class. I’ve been going to classes at the bar method in Hoboken for over a year now and I absolutely love it. The studio is in a very convenient location, right near the path, and it is absolutely beautiful. I mostly take weekday morning classes so I tend to get ready for work in the locker room. There are 3 showers and a beauty bar full of hair products, blow dryers, straighteners, curling irons, etc. so this is super helpful for me!The classes may be low impact but are always challenging! I always leave the studio feeling good about my workout. The instructors are all super knowledgeable, friendly and really make the effort to learn and remember everybody’s names. I love that they help tweak your position throughout class to ensure you’re getting the absolute most out of your workout and staying safe.I’ve seen great results since I’ve been coming to the studio and I will continue to take classes here. Very nice reception area. When I called for information the woman was friendly and receptive. The instructor, Kate, addressed me by name during my first class and remembered my name. When I returned two days laters she remembered me and asked how I was feeling. The class was fun and a good toning workout. She helped accommodate my shoulder issue, but kept it challenging at the same time. The class size is great - EVERYTHING about the bar method is an A+ experience

After months of listening to my friends talk about Barre class and weeks of avoiding their invitations to join them, I finally attended my first class on March 17th (8pm class) and absolutely LOVED it! This studio is beautiful, spotless and equipped with all of the conveniences for post-workout grooming (Im talking showers, full length mirrors, lockers, hair products, body products).Most notably, the instructors at this studio are excellent; very attentive, encouraging and great at corrections. The class was full, but had the perfect amount of people so that it still felt very personal to me and allowed for plenty of individual attention from the instructor. The name of my instructor escapes me right now, but she was awesome!I also loved that it was a mixed class level with people of all levels of experience joined in one class. It was encouraging for me (a first-timer and not at all athletic) to get through the class with other women at my experience level, but I was also very motivated by the women in the class who were at a more advanced level.Looking forward to my next class!

I love pretty much everything.. the attention to form and amazing cues during class are incredible. The instructors rock! The studio is gorgeous and even during a pandemic this workout is challenging and fun. I LOVE the bar method Hoboken! I cannot say enough good things about the studio, the classes, and the instructors. I joined the bar method last summer because I wanted to tone up a little before my wedding. I purchased the 3 month bridal package which was a great deal and I started to notice results right away, especially in my arms and abs. A year later it’s still a part of my regular routine and I love it so much! I didn’t have any dance background and I’m not very flexible so I was nervous to start, but all the instructors are wonderful and make you feel so comfortable from the very beginning. The studio is amazing, very clean, and has everything you need. I would 100% recommend the bar method Hoboken to everyone!

I have only taken 2 classes, but I did like how there was almost an assistant or second teacher present who was assisting. I loved the facility, I appreciate the extras the flat irons, Moroccan oil etc. I loved the size of the studio and classes, they were NOT over packed which I did not like about a lot of other studios. I also loved how the instructor came over and paid special attention to everyone and knew them by name. The welcome package with opportunity for $25 my first package is a really nice touch and appreciated. Really enjoyed everything from the studio to the instructors.

I took my first class on October 31st at 10:15 am. The instructor was so friendly and knew most if not all of her students by name. I also like how they took the time to correct and re-position students. Since then I have taken 13 classes and I started to feel stronger and more defined after only the first few. I LOVE LOVE LOVE taking classes at the Bar Method Hoboken! Its by far one of my favorite workout classes in Hoboken. Ive been taking classes here for over 3 years (on and off between having two kids) and the workout never gets old. I try to run 3-4 times a week and take Bar Method classes 1-2 times a week for my cross-training. Its a great way to workout muscles that I dont normally get to workout through running. The classes are fun and challenging - I always leave feeling stronger and more confident. The instructors are amazing - I love that they make sure everyone has the right form and will adjust you to make sure you are feeling the burn and doing the exercises correctly. The studio ambiance feels like a spa - its definitely a place where I go to de-stress and get some me-time!

I am absolutely obsessed with Bar Method, Hoboken! My first experience was a few months before my wedding and by going to classes 3-5 times a week I lost 4 inches off my hips, 3 from my waist, my arms looked the best they have in years and I felt incredible! This is the best workout I have ever done and the results are proof! The instructors are fantastic; warm, engaging and friendly, they will kick your butt - but they do it with love! The studio is clean, modern and inviting. What keeps me going back is that I love that this is truly a judgement free zone and you get out of it what you put in. I recommend Bar Method to anyone looking to get into shape!

After years of resisting back in my hometown SF due to the desire to run until the cows come home, I decided to give this go. Since hurting my foot last year, I have been endlessly searching for intense workouts that are not high impact and this is kind of a perfect change from Pilates. All of the instructors here, especially owners Lucia and Melissa are amazing! So amazing, Im motivated enough to walk out in the freezing cold (by west coast standards) almost daily just to show up in hopes of having a butt and muscle tone. I have been a Barmethod member for 3 years now and I still love it here! The teachers are amazing, they are so helpful to make sure you have great form and get the most from your work out. It is a low impact work out with great results! Still my favorite place for a great workout!

I have been in a rut for years now when it’s come to finding a workout regimen I can stick to. I also had a really invasive surgery on my spine and many workouts were difficult for me to get through even mentally. I’ve tried everything from yoga to traditional gym memberships to personal training to UFC classes to Soul cycle - you name it. I walked past the bar method studio on river st and finally decided to give it a whirl with their 3 for $45 special. I signed up for an unlimited monthly membership at my third class. I find the workouts to be challenging and they’re not easy but I don’t dread them at all. The method itself is something you need to like as a personal choice but I truly do because I enjoy working out using only my own body weight and resistance . The studio is always immaculate, the locker rooms are so accommodating that you can shower and go to work right after, the class schedule offers so many times that you can definitely find something that works for you, and I have yet to find an instructor that I don’t thoroughly enjoy. I have taken 12 classes so far (I try to do 4x a week) and I notice a significant change in the way I look, feel, flexibility and strength and I’m excited to see how I look and feel as I continue to work toward my goals.

Arrived late due to traffic reason. Policy did not state late arrival cannot join and she didn’t offer any alternative for me to take the class. Did not show me around at the studio and asked me to leave. I was there for 1 minute.

From the ladies who greet you at the front desk and check you in to your Bar class, to every Bar Method instructor, I truly feel welcome any time I attend the studio! The studio is clean, modern, and beautiful! The owners do a wonderful job to bring in great vendors for clients for special events, and it is great to see that the Bar Method Hoboken supports other local Hoboken businesses!!And in terms of the workout, I can very safely say I have noticed wonderful results in terms of toning, flexibility, balance, and endurance thanks to the Bar Method! I can’t say enough about The Bar Method and how it’s helped me physically and with my overall sense of well-being. This is after taking Bar Method classes (and other barre classes) in different states, at different time periods in my life, pre- and post- pregnancy, since 2004. I’ve had many injuries from horse riding and due to some inevitable degenerated joints that I’ve inherited and taking classes consistently has been my best prescription for my alignment and mobility. What’s more, I love going to the Hoboken studio each week and the friendly staff there. The owners and instructors at Hoboken are all equally great and have a vested interest in each student. In terms of instruction there’s nothing that compares to a Bar Method class. Every movement sequence is done with precision - NOT with the goal of getting maximum repetitions in and rushing to the next movement. The movements are totally efficient-creating a quality, fat burning, muscle-building yet low-impact work out thats easy on the joints. My classes have helped greatly with my back issues - theres been a marked improvement since being consistent with my classes! (You can search how a bar method class helps students with back conditions). Instructors always make sure you get the most benefit from a movement and will remind you of proper form so you are set up to prevent injury. In addition to feeling more supple, I always feel more mentally grounded when leaving - whether a bar move, Mixed or express class. If you are looking for a class that is highly challenging each week (it never gets easier!) focused and effective that will create major changes for your body along with the bonus of a fabulous community of women, look no further and try a class at this studio ASAP!
