I wish I had found Michele and EC Beauty sooner! I’ve been going to Michele for facials for about 2 years and even sent my husband for a few facials with her. I can’t speak highly enough about both of our experiences.Michele is extremely professional, welcoming and knowledgeable. She recommends services and products tailored to my particular needs and she is not pushy. In fact, she will make sure I only purchase what is right and best for my skin. Michele is a true godsend. She is incredibly talented and knowledgeable at her work. I was suffering from hyper pigmentation for the last two years and visited almost all dermatologists in the NJ and NY area with no help. As a last try, I visited Michele 3 months back and she transformed my skin. It looks so much better and pigmentation is almost cleared. When I met her for the first time, she thoroughly examined my skin and suggested that I do chemical peels consistently and she customizes each time we do a peel based on how my skin is reacting. She is very kind and welcoming and never rushes or pushes you to do something that you are not comfortable with. The chemical treatment was ok. I’ve had the same for less. I’m SUPER annoyed about being forced to purchase a 35 dollar skin care kit after the treatment. I insisted that I didn’t need it because I understand the aftercare process and the person got a bit aggressive and stated “well I don’t even give my customers a choice you pretty much have to buy it.” I’m remembering to write this review as I’m staring at the skincare that I NEVER used. If you’re going to require a product for aftercare, include it as part of the check out online so I know exactly what to expect when I arrive. Either way, I would have appreciated a different tone from the person and skin care recommendations as an alternative. A simple gentle cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen with have done the job.

Shantel is amazing. My skin needed TLC after a summer of suntan lotion and inevitable sun spots. After the first treatment I’ve seen improvement and glowing skin. Looking forward to coming tuned results with a great esthetician!

Not to be dramatic, but Michele from EC may have changed my life (lol). I’ve done a few services so far, all which have been amazing. Today I did the Cupping facial which was incredible. I had read about this previously, but it was better than I imagined.It was so relaxing and my skin feels and looks truly unbelievable right now! Michele is so kind and welcoming in the most genuine way that really makes you feel comfortable and safe in her (magical) hands!! She also is able to provide valuable information so you know what is going on and how to maintain your skin to the best possible standard. I’ve been going to EC Beauty for 7+ years for my monthly facial. I keep going back month over month because I trust that they know best for my skin as I age. I also love supporting a locally-owned business. I’ve had facials from almost everyone who works there, including Erica, Michele and Grace and can recommend them all. Lately Michele has been using a new technique, called Gua Sha. She uses a cool stone to gently massage the face and neck. It is fantastic! If you are looking for relaxation and “me” time - I cannot recommend enough. Enjoy!

I did an illuminating facial and a mask for some acne and redness and I could not be happier with the results! Just TWO days later, my skin has cleared, is free of blackheads, and still glowing. No makeup needed. On top of that, the staff does an amazing job of explaining the products that would be used and their purpose. Highly worth the investment!!!

What an amazing, relaxing experience. I had a facial with Michelle and she was the best. She addressed all of my skin concerns and finished my facial with the PCA Skin oxy trio at the end. I was instructed to sleep with my treatment and my skin looked amazing the next day. They also carry a lot of the PCA Skin line for home care. I love the products, especially the hyaluronic. Ive been going to EC beauty studio for about a year now but saw Michele tonight as the previous woman I was seeing has since left and HOLY AMAZING.The studio is so insanely clean and taking amazing covid precautions. They have air purifiers in each room, the staff wears masks AND shields and you can just tell they take it very seriously which I appreciate. They use the best of the best products and it is an overall amazing experience! I definitely think you get your moneys worth!Michele is absolutely awesome! She is SO knowledgeable about everything, extremely personable and takes time to assess your skin in depth. I am getting married in a year and she is helping me set up a treatment plan to get my skin exactly where I want to be. I cant wait to go back!!

I got back to EC Beauty this January, and it has been a wonderful experience. With the pandemic and working from home, my body has become very lazy. I decided I needed to get back to do an LPG treatment (lymphatic massage), and it has been great. I. feel much better, my legs have lost volume, and their appearance has improved. EC Beauty salon is super clean and takes all the advised precautions against COVID-19. I feel very safe. I also recommend their facials. I got a Bright and Clear Facial, and after 10 days, my skin is still glowing. The staff is excellent: friendly and knowledgeable about what they are doing and giving you personalized recommendations. I love Michele!!. Yes, its expensive, but you get the value you invest in you.

I’ve been here twice now. The first time was okay, the woman talked me into a lash and eyebrow tint. She used the wrong color on my brows and I looked like a clown for a week and had a huge pimple show up afterwards. But overall the facial was still good. The second time I had Paris as the technician and she was AMAZING. I came in for microdermabrasion but I was breaking out pretty bad and I have rosacea. She recommended the illuminating facial instead with a tea tree mask and did some extra zaps of ozone on my serious pimples. It’s been a couple of days and my skin has cleared up so well. She also had great advice for future treatments. Highly recommend her!

Ive been coming here since I moved to Hoboken 10 years ago. This place is professional, clean and the people that work here are incredibly knowledgeable and kind. I personally go to Michele and she is the absolute best. Not only is she sweet, but she really knows her stuff - from products, to services, she always steers me in the right direction. I am so appreciative of her help over the years and I wont go anywhere or to anyone else. I had my first facial ever here with Michelle & it was the best decision I ever made for my skin. I have skin that is both oily and dry and my needs were addressed and met. I could not believe how smooth my skin was after. Prices are very affordable and they have good specials every month. I have been going to Christine for years for my lashes. She is so nice, and very knowledgeable. She always speaks about the integrity of your own lashes and keeping them healthy while still continuing with lash extensions. Even during quarantine when I was not able to get my lashes done. I noticed my natural lashes were still full and healthy. But I am so glad to continue with Christine. She always makes me look beautiful and the spa is always super clean!

Left with a large bald spot in my eyebrow after technician waxed the wrong part of my eyebrow. For a studio charging $90 for a tint and shaping this is unacceptable. Giving 1 star as the service was comped and I was provided powder free of charge to cover up the bald spot. Will not be returning and would not recommend.

Shes the reason why I keep coming back for my facials. Shes an amazing aesthetician, as well as, a true professional - knowledgeable, timely and caring. I have combination skin and loads of blackheads. Michelle has magical hands, and when she tackles my blackheads - its painless. She uses her hands with tissues, no tools hence no scarring. Every facial is customized to the current state of my skin and I always trust her suggestions. My skin is always thankful after each appointment. Ive been going to EC Beauty for a while and Michele is hands down the best! Ive struggled with dark spots, acne prone skin and the usual black heads etc. Michele worked with me to get me to a skin regimen that works best for me and slowly worked into chemical peels. She has transformed my skin in ways I couldnt imagine and Ive never felt more confident! Highly highly highly recommend her and the entire EC Beauty team for all your skincare needs.

The price in the email I got for my appointment did not match the price I paid. I had my first facial in my life here. I did not know that extractions were so painful. I figured that during a facial they would explain every step of the process/tell you what products they are using. She only told me that she was going to do the extraction and that it would be painful, explained the tool she was using to boost collagen and then that she was applying a mask. I could not relax until the mask was on at the end. The mask was the best part! It was very cooling/soothing and smelled amazing. I was so anxious for the rest of the facial because I am super jumpy and didnt know what was going on. My skin felt very nice after and I did leave a 20% tip but I do not think I would go here again. I just did not feel very comfortable overall/did not know what to expect & the energy was very awkward.

I’ve been having my facial done from EC beauty for almost or more than 3 years. Michele is my go to aesthetician and she’s been very amazing in taking care of my skin. When I heard that they finally opened after the lockdown, I immediately booked my facial. I can really tell that the place is well sanitized the moment you arrive at the spa. Initially, they will check your temperature before your facial and if you need to use the restroom the keys are sanitized with the use of a uv light technology. When you go to your designated room, they have these machines that filters the air as well. The staff were also wearing proper ppe such as mask, face shield and gloves during your facial. This made me feel very at ease everytime I’d come back for my facial appointment. I’ll definitely give this place 10 out 10 not only for the services that they offer but also for following guidelines during this time of pandemic.

WARNINGLet’s get STRAIGHT to the point. Although this place MAY seem luxurious, the staff including the owner is not. I decided to try EC for my very first facial ever with high hopes. It was personally recommended to me by a colleague who has been a loyal client there. I had a rushed experience while trying to be convinced that I received “thorough” work. WHAT A JOKE. Almost all of their facials are listed as 50 minutes online. I was charged $236 for a 38 minute facial that did nothing but irritate my skin!! I was also recommend $100 worth of products that did nothing for my skin whatsoever. The owner followed up with me with an aggressive phone call asking me to “get to the point” when I was explaining my experience at her spa. I’ve personally witnessed her and her staff talking negatively about clients. THE POINT IS if you’re looking for a more relaxing, welcoming, and warm experience with a genuinely caring staff and excellent customer service THIS IS NOT IT.

Absolutely love the eyelash lift services. While my natural eyelash is long and dark, I have always had issues with curling them and having them stay up. While there is a tiny chance that this treatment wouldn’t work for me because of the way my eyelash goes down, it worked AMAZINGLY. I never have to wear mascara and I have received so many compliments on them. This is also such a good treatment for those who, like me, do not like eyelash extensions due to eye rubbing and getting them wet. This is a low maintenance treatment and I plan on getting these done on a regular basis at EC beauty as I can’t recommend them enough.

Recently went for dermaplane with Michele. Never had one before, and was a little nervous, but she put me at ease and did and amazing job. It was fast and comfortable and really cleaned my skin. Christine is my go-to for eyelash extensions. She is professional and friendly. She makes sure to ask what kind of style you’re going for before she begins each session. She is knowledgeable about the products she uses and is always gentle when applying the lashes. She is thorough and explains the maintenance at the end of the session. I recently tried the lash lift and it’s eye-opening! (pun intended) I would recommend Christine for lash extensions and lash lift services.

I rarely leave reviews but this place deserves my 5*. It is rare to find a place that truly cares about your well-being and is not only after your money. I have visited EC twice & had an outstanding experience both times. My esthetician Oana has a lot of experience & is highly educated in her field. She gave me lots of priceless advice & made suggestions for chemical-free (super important!) products to use at home which I could buy on Amazon - this place will not try to up-sell you or push you to buy products they have for sale. This is THE place to go at VERY reasonable prices.

My first visit here was a few weeks ago with Karina for a dermaplaning facial. I loved my results so I decided to give it another go and scheduled the same facial with Michele. She was amazing! This place might fool you with its fancy facials and prices but it definitely doesnt hide the fact that its run by a woman who has NO CLUE how to speak to clients... Poor poor customer service... Would definitely not recommend this place, all they do is give you half-a** facials so you can keep going back to spend more money on facials/products you might not even need.. BEWARE!

My esthetician, Grace is AMAZING! I have been getting facials and chemical peels with Grace for months now because I’ve been dealing with hormonal breakouts. She has helped my skin CLEAR up. Grace is the best facialist by far and Im so lucky I came across her!
