Called this office several times, but their number was out of service. I had the chance to drive down to the office, and it turns out it is out of business. The office is cleaned out, and empty.

I simply called to schedule an exam and to see if they accepted medicaid. Mr Dyer him self answered and as I began asking what kind of medicaid they accept. He said he had another call coming in and hung up. What a way to gain new business. ....

The doctor was very knowledgeable with beyond exceptional service. I was a first time patient there, having only worked in the area and living in Austin TX. He got me right in, went over the exam and explained to me the process and the diagnoses of my exam in great detail. 100% transparent about the entire process and couldnt be more happy with the contact lenses that he suggested. Thank you!

I just got my glasses and contact lenses today and Im so happy with the service! The doctor was really helpful and professional. I was in and out in 40 minutes. I did not have an appointment, he accepts walk ins. I got my frames that same day too. He makes them that same day. He asked me to come back in 4 hours after my appointment, and sure enough he had my glasses ready. He gave me a case with a cleansing wipe, and a free trial of contact lenses. I highly recommend this optometrist. Thank you for your service!!

In addition to his Hobbs, NM practice Dr. Gordon Dyer also works at Eyeglass World in Albuquerque now at least part time. He wrote me a prescription that made my vision extremely distorted, gave me a severe headache, nausea, and set my right eye to severely twitching and felt like my right eye was straining badly. I went back in after a week and he was defensive, not apologetic at all, seemed to be trying to save face and tried to convince me nothing was wrong... Yet strangely he wrote a new prescription that was 1/3 the strength of the first prescription. I have both prescriptions on record. That second prescription still caused visual distortion and headaches, and intense eyestrain. Another week later I went back in again, and the Eyeglass World staff were great, very helpful and concerned, but Gordon wouldnt even come out to talk to me. Astonishingly unprofessional. The EGW staff talked to him behind closed doors and he refused to change the prescription. So they had another optometrist write a totally different prescription with one part of it actually reversed, which works great with no problems.

This man is very respectful and courteous, however, when it comes to pediatrics and issues that they are already diagnosed with for certain he is clueless. Adults sure go here but dont take your children to this man.

Lying, rip you off old man!!! I went in on Monday 8/7/17 and asked him if he was a provider for my insurance. Told him who my insurance was and he said yes. I said okay my kids need an appt. He scheduled them for Wed 8/9/17 at 11:00 am. We went kiddos got checked, picked out their glasses and he tells me ok its 424.63. I said what!!!! Ill just pay for the eye exam. Thinking my kids just really picked out some super high priced glasses because it didnt even come close to that amount when three of us went and all got glasses. He said its $166.63. I said no I have insurance. He said yes I gave you a discount. Discount my ass!!! It should only have cost $30.00 if even that much.HE IS NOT A PROVIDER of my insurance!!!!I went home called my insurance and they said they couldnt find him. So I go back take his prescriptions back to him and tell him that he is NOT a provider for my insurance. I reminded him I came in Monday and asked him and that he told me yes. So I made the appointment. He tells me I am a provider thats why I gave you a $45.00 discount on each kid. NO YOU ARE NOT AN IN NETWORK PROVIDER!!!!! Told him heres your stuff I want my money back, he says we dont give refunds I said nope, you lie to people and rip them off he says well if youd like to discuss it more you can take me too small claims court Bet this conversation is NOT OVER!!!STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHADY GUY UNLESS YOU WANT RIPPED OFF!!!!!
