My local Aveda source. Went out of their way to help me sync my old account with the new system. Very personable.

These folks havent even been able to respond to an appointment request that I sent in.Edit: The email they sent back came to my spam folder, but it was sent on Wednesday, not Tuesday. In any case, appointments are booked out until July for a basic color. While I appreciate the reply, I am disappointed that salons, in general, are lacking any time slots. I have changed my review since the fault is not really theirs.

Most overpriced and mediocre haircut I’ve ever gotten. I wanted a simple trim to remove the damaged ends. The stylist (who never introduced herself despite me mentioning at the start that I had never been to this salon before) cut a majority of the length of while my hair was wet, then dried it and added layers and texture after. She didn’t use any product or make any attempt to style it. I was there all of 25 minutes (10 of which were spent washing my hair - an excessive amount of time because I have fine hair) and my cut was $66.

I have used this salon many times over the years and had nothing but a great experience, until recently. I apparently missed an appointment. Yes, I scheduled the appointment, no I did not place it on my calendar, I was told I would get a text reminder of my appointment date and time. In the past, i have gotten a phone call reminder also. Typical practice these days for most appointments. However, New Beginning Salon has apparently began a no show policy. Without my knowledge and without providing information for such a fee. But dropped their courtesy reminders. When I called I was told they called, left a message, texted and emailed me. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL, A TEXT anything. Nothing in my spam email either. The person I spoke to basically called me a liar, instead of verifying anything had been done. The $78 I was charged was more important to them than keeping a customer, who has spent a lot of money there in the past and NEVER NO SHOWED! If you are busy like most people and rely on standard practices, like courtesy reminders, DO NOT EXPECT IT HERE! EXPECT AN OUTRAGEOUS FEE ON YOUR CREDIT CARD!! I was told the only person who had authority to change the charge is the owner, given no one called, texted or emailed me about my appt as they claim to have, ( very strange I didnt receive at least ONE of the reminders) I suspect I will not be contacted by the owner either.

Ive been here twice now for a haircut and I love this place! I had two different stylists in my two visits and both were friendly and skilled. I appreciate their Covid-safe measures as well. I always seek out Aveda salons when looking for a new place and this one is great! Great communication throughout my haircut to make sure it was a length I liked, etc and she did a great job :)

Sami was awesome! I was initially worried because I was getting a drastically short cut after growing my hair out for nearly 21 years, but she did beautifully! 100000000/10 I hope I can return one day!

I made an appointment two weeks in advance. They called me the day before to move my appointment an hour back to 2pm (stylist was ill). Sure, no worries! I can make that work. Day of my appointment, I call at 2pm as I am parked outside to respect the COVID rules. She says my stylist is finishing up with her client and it should only be a few minutes more. I said, not a problem, just give me a call as soon as she is ready? 25 minutes later, I am still sitting in my car. I called to see if everything was okay and if I should reschedule. No answer. I called again. No answer. 45 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start, the receptionist calls me and says, Your stylist is ready for you now! No apology, nothing. I am fully aware that things run late. Is it unreasonable for you to have realized it was going to take longer and call me to reschedule? I would have made another appointment and come back. You were recommended to me by multiple people. Why even make appointments if you cant respect peoples time?

Katherine had no idea what she was doing and totally messed up my hair. The owner is a witch and refused to refund my money. She was unprofessional and rude.NEVER get your hair done at this place.

This is an aveda salon. Everyone that works here is absolutely wonderful. Ive been going here for many services for about a year. They alway remember who you are and make sure to meet your needs! They are so accommodating!!

If you want to pay $75 an hour for someone who doesnt give a single care about what you look like, and their only concern is convincing you of agreeing to a haircut that makes their day the easiest, then get your hair cut by one of the most Sr stylists at this salon, Desiree.

I love coming here. Its a little pricey but worth every cent. Every 6 months I need to get my toe nails done (for medical reasons) and this is one of the better fashion salons to visit.

Ive had nothing but wonderful experiences here at New Beginnings since day 1. Ive always been welcomed by EXTRAORDINARY STAFF with out of this world attitudes. I used to be extremely nervous about anyone touching my hair and I was referred to this salon by a fellow co-worker. I was scheduled with Alexis for a hair service and after that first appointment I knew I wanted to go back. Alexis was detail oriented and thorough about understanding my wants and desires. She made my hair not only look good but also feel GREAT! Since then Ive rescheduled multiple appointments with her and whenever Im in state, I do what I can to get in for an appointment. This salon is five stars not only for their profession atmosphere, but the salon itself is gorgeous, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and lastly they ALWAYS do what they can to accommodate the customer. I LOVE THIS PLACE! Ill forever be a returning customer.

Tera is the best colorist and for cuts. Twice she has done a fantastic job with correcting color and a great cut. Shes fast and no nonsense and gives the best hand massage. Her recommendations as far as color and products are spot on and she always advises on the most economical practical route - much appreciated. The overall Salon vibe is very nice all the people working there are friendly and real. Good spot!

I have such a positive experience every time I go to New Beginning Salon Spa. The front desk staff is always cheerful, friendly & helpful. They always welcome me & offer me something to drink. The salon is always clean, neat & organized. The hair service that I pay for is excellent (thank you Whitney). The product line is high quality. The entire staff treats me so well from the minute I walk in to the salon until the minute I walk out the door.

They colored my blonde hair brown when I went in for just a root touch up. When my hair stylist left and they reopened after covid, I made an appointment and the salon choose the person. I originally had brown hair and went blonde 6 years ago and I went in for Only a root touch up (light brown) and wanted to keep my very blonde hair. When the stylist was finished, I commented on how dark it was and she said because it was wet (couldnt blow dry during phase 1). My roots turned dark brown and the rest a light brown everywhere! My blonde was gone! I complained and went in for a consult which the stylist stated my hair is right (from what the previous hair stylist wrote in my notes?). I kept trying to explain that I had blonde hair prior to my recent visit, she argued with me and didnt believe me and kept arguing stating my hair normally looks like this. I finally spoke with a manager and able to show pictures of my hair before I came into the salon for a Root touch up, she said she believed me and would speak with the other manager. There were NO apologies that I was upset and my Blonde hair was now brown. The 2nd manager called me the following week to tell me they will add highlights for 50% off - Still NO apology from Anyone. I went somewhere else and wont be going back to New Beginning... if there was an apology or the consult person (Jordyn) did not argue with me of what my hair color normally is (very blonde), or offered to put the blonde back for Free, it would be a different story. But absolutely no regards for the customers, I think I know what my hair looked like before I walked into New Beginnings.

I love going to New Beginnings. My hairstylist always does a fantastic job on my hair- I love both the color and the cut. Besides that, it’s a totally relaxing experience as well! There’s usually a foot soak while the color sets and a hand massage when I have a deep conditioner put on my hair. All of the people here are friendly and welcoming and it’s a great experience all around.

Never bother with their email service. They don’t respond and then give your appointments to other people. Great customer service. Would it be more accurate to say great customer deterrence?

Jessica did my highlights and I am so happy with the results! I have been looking for someone who really listened to what I wanted and then follow through with results. She took time to do it just right even though I know it took her a bit longer since I have a lot of hair. I am definitely going back to see her from now on and the foot soak and hand massage is an added bonus!

Susan always provides the most expert advice and most caring service. The results are consistently outstanding, and she recommends the best Aveda products that precisely meet my needs. Im always so happy to see her at our appointments, and the staff is always so kind.

Alexis did such a fantastic job on my hair today! I love it!When I walked in the door, I was greeted by the receptionist. Today was my first time there, so she had me complete a form and offered me a drink - I accepted lemon water, but she had a whole list of drinks to choose from! Alexis brought me back to her station and listened to me tell her what I did not like about my hair and showed me some ideas in a book that she thought matched what I was asking for. While I was waiting for the dye and bleach to do their jobs, I was treated to a foot soak in peppermint lavender scented bubbly water. So nice! After my hair was washed, I was treated to a hand massage. It was quite a drive for me to get there, I live on the east side. I have to say, it was totally worth it! I am definitely going back there! I wish I had grabbed a menu of their services while I was there.

I always have a great experience when I go in and the girls make me feel very welcomed. Jessica is my styles and shes amazing. We always have fun conversation and she really listens to what I want as far as my hair goes. She knows her stuff and shes very light handed when working with my hair. The prices are a little high but you get what you pay for. $50 hair cuts, I pay it because I know its going to look great. They do give a %25 discount card on first time services.

I love Jordan. I have super baby fine hair and always keep it short but I like to experiment. She has always worked with me and only drew the line once when I suggested a bowl-cut. Which in hindsight, I appreciate

I had the day at the spa package at New Beginning Salon Spa and it was great! I was there for almost five hours. I started with a facial, then had a full body massage. Both ladies were great. Then I had a simple lunch with a mimosa. After was a pedicure and manicure. Also both very nice ladies. A really enjoyable relaxing day.

I have been going to this salon spa for nearly 5 years. Recently, one the managers (Terrie) seems to have it out for me. A few months ago I called to make an appointment and she informed me that they were raising the price of my service by $11 because of some stylists that take longer to do my hair. My hair has been the same the entire time Ive gone here. Yes, there are a few stylists that take longer than 45 min to blow out my hair but why is that my problem? I argued and she said that if the service takes an hour, they will charge me for it.Today I went to get my hair done by Jordan, shes amazing. My family experienced a tremendous loss this weekend and I wanted to get my hair blown out so I could breathe. I arrived on time for my 2:15 appt. I went to check out at 3:02 and Terrie told me it would be $56. I asked why and she said that I was being charged for an hour because my appt time went over. I said that I hadnt, Jordan always does it in 45 minutes and Terrie argued and said that she had went and watched the camera to see what time I came in (what!?!?) and knew Jordan had taken me back at 2:14. I was still confused and said I had gone over in my time by 2 minutes because I had talked to Jordan for a minute when my hair was done and they were going ot charge me $10 for that and she said, no, its actually $11. After I finally made her see that my appointment was NOT an hour like she kept arguing, she finally said that she was wrong and charged me the correct amount. She is the ONLY person and stylist that ever hassles me about my hair. She claims that the time it takes to do my hair isnt fair to the stylists and shes gotten complaints which is bull.After a weekend of grieving, this was a really defeating experience. I love the stylists but the treatment of this manager is hostile and she clearly is checking the cameras for when I get here so she can attempt to overcharge me. I am a faithful customer, I dont understand the poor treatment.

I really love this salon! Everyone is amazing! Front desk team is always friendly and attentive. I have seen three different hair stylists here, and each one was amazing. Jessica is by far the best stylist...ever! She knows exactly what I want, when sometimes I dont even know. She is amazing with all colors, but especially blonde! You wont regret going here.

A very clean, professional, friendly and relaxing environment! Whitney was my hairstylist, I came in and she was nothing but perfect! Didnt try to constantly up-sell me, and didnt talk my ear off. I loved the relaxing fountain in the middle of the room, it added a great zen feeling to the room. Great service, great price, overall I will be making more appointments here for sure and would highly recommend.

Im always a bit skeptical of spas because sometimes they can feel a little overdone, fake, awkward and uncomfortable.Not this place at all! Everyone was SO genuine and kind. My massage therapist was amazing. She did a great job and my the end I was so relaxed. I love that they have taken the different services available and split them up. My massage and pedicure was on the top floor away from the sounds of blow dryers downstairs where people were getting their hair styled. They did a great job thinking through their setup.It was so quiet, relaxing, clean, with authentic people, and everything I wanted in a spa.Highly recommend! You will be so happy you went! ❤️

Yay great haircut! Olivia did a wonderful job and it was fun chatting with her. The fountain in the middle of the room is soothing.

I started going to New Beginning since it was so close to where I was living. Lucky me! Alexis, my stylist, is just wonderful. She really listens and cuts your hair exactly as you would like rather than how she thinks would be fun, like so many other people who treat your head like an art installation. All the Aveda products make it just like going to a spa. Love the layout, too, with the work stations arrayed around a fountain. Cant recommend them highly enough!

Worst air color in my life, I won’t go there never again for service. It is too expensive and poor beauty knowledge. I said what I want and they did what they thought “was better for me” off course horrible results.

I love this place. I have recommended many people to join and they have loved it there. Once I open the door on every visit the natural aroma takes me to a land of enchantment. The tea they have adds more charisma to the experience. I spend good enough time browsing, smelling, test applying all products new or old. Its my go place where I dont quickly rush myself like I would do in a grocery store. Its a place of rejuvenation, of taking time, of smelling nature, learning and talking about it, its a time to get the best spa services and the addiction of a ritual indulgences of Avedas wonder products. This is my go to place.💖💜💖

At my last appointment, I was told that my child could accompany me, so this time I brought him with me. When I showed up, I was told that he could not in fact in come. Based on the misinformation I was provided at my last visit and the staffs unwillingness to honor what I was told previously, I have just wasted over an hour of driving time and did not get the service I was scheduled for.

Edited to reply to salon response: My voicemail was set up months ago and is working fine. I got 3 vm messages yesterday, none from the salon.---When I called to schedule an appointment, I asked for a senior colorist. I only wanted partial highlights, just a little to blend in with my gray. There were no available appointments for a few weeks, so the receptionist convinced me to see a junior stylist--told me she had 20 years of experience but had that title because she was a new to Aveda. After telling the stylist that I couldnt afford to come back regularly for touchups and I just wanted something subtle that blended in, and after her telling me that less is more and she wanted to be very careful about grow-out because she knew I couldnt come back frequently--I received the worst color job Ive ever had. I didnt like it in the salon, and told her it wasnt what Id expected, but I wanted to go home and look at it under different lighting. When I got home, I was horrified. She used two colors; one came out loud and brassy and really bad for my skin tone. They didnt work with each other, and there is so much color that its changed my entire hair color and appearance, definitely for the worse. There are way too many highlights, too--so much for subtle and natural and being careful about grow-out! I was mortified going to work this morning. I would never choose to look like this.I called the salon last night and told them I wasnt happy, and was told a manager would call me back as soon as possible. I asked for a name and was told there are 3 managers. I waited all day today--finally called at 3:30 and left a voicemail. At 6:30, still no call, so I tried again, and got a very unapologetic receptionist who didnt seem to understand the concept of customer service. Apparently, calling back an extremely unhappy customer isnt a priority for any of the 3 managers--so, I guess, they dont care about their reputation or repeat customers?Worst experience ever at an Aveda salon. I wonder if the corporate office cares at all.

Great front desk staff, wonderful aestheticians who know their stuff. I feel pampered every time I go to New Beginning Salon Spa. Maybe its the welcoming reception, or the tea, mimosa or coffee (or other beverage), or the soothing, clean atmosphere....To me its truly a relaxing experience. As a client of 5 years, I have used the waxing, haircut and color, pedicure, manicure and facial services. Looking forward to my next appointment next week! And I should mention, giving or receiving a gift certificate from New Beginning Salon Spa is always a treat.

I love Aveda products and looked for an Aveda salon when I moved. I have tried several stylists, and each were attentive to what I wanted and delivered an easy-to-style haircut. For a big event, I had my hair done along with manicure and pedicure, and was very pleased in the result. I have been to cheaper salons, and the results are... cheaper.

I really like this place. Aveda is great in and of itself, but the staff here really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable here. Plus I love the fountain in the center surrounded by live plants. Ive had facials, cuts, and color done here.

I have been going to New Beginnings for more than 5 years. I always have friendly and courteous service from everyone who works there. I love the reminder calls for my appointments - they keep me on track.

Got my hair highlighted just a tiny bit for my wedding. It was so subtle, but just gave me an extra little glow. I had been afraid it would be too much, but it was exactly what I wanted: elegant and authentic.

I really enjoyed my experience with this salon. Leena was was kind and listened to my wants and needs and really made it lovely experience for me.

Fantastic! They took care of me before my wedding. Makeup and hair and I would absolutely recommend this place. They have a package for this and it was a fair price for what you get. There was a practice session for how I wanted my hair/makeup to look...which wasnt exactly how I wanted it but she reminded me that if she used all the neccisary bobby pins and hairspray...it would take forever to take out later. Sure enough the next session was a better version of what she had done before and my hair held for my entire wedding and reception! It was great :) The makeup was beautiful too, not what Im used to wearing but it looked amazing in all my photos. Thank you new beggining salon! You were all so wonderful and friendly, and helped make my wedding perfect!

I was a loyal brow wax customer of this spa for years. Unfortunately, I asked for a bikini wax and eyelash tint. My experience was horrible. The aesthetician was 25 minutes late, burned me three times, badly, and then tinted my skin instead of my lashes, even my nose. I complained to management but they did nothing other than recommend a different person. Worst experience ever. Going back to Aveda downtown even with the commute.

Called a week in advance to set up an appointment for my niece who is turning 13. Told them I live in a different state, this would be a birthday present for her so she would be coming in alone and I would call day of to put down my credit card info. All is well, as far as I thought.Come the day of and THEY CANCELLED HER APPOINTMENT because they didnt ask me for a phone number!!! The meek manager had little say except he would keep an eye on the books for a cancellation. And stated they hadnt had any cancellations that day or day prior.They dont value customers, dont honor appointments, and have nothing to say for themselves. Disgraceful service and Im left dealing with a distraught 13yo girl states away, shame on this salon.

I will never go there ever again! Made an appt for 10:30 am. I was there at 10:30, the place was locked up, and no one was there! Business hours are 10am to 8pm. I waited 15 minutes and no one showed... NO CALL NO SHOW MEANS YOU ARE FIRED as far as Im concerned!! Never again! Horrible Management!!

Horrible place, I was coming from se Portland and ran into traffic which made me a little late. They have a fifteen minute grace which I met, but they said because its Halloween they wouldnt be able to dry and style the hair. Horrible experience

WORST management I have ever dealt with. Left me jobless after two weeks of being guaranteed a position. Took a class and obtained a permit for the class, just moved to the area, expressed I needed an income, on my first day they called me telling me there was no position for me. They never apologized or offered to reimburse me. So unprofessional and inconsiderate. Would NEVER refer this company to anyone.

Hate paying this much for mens haircut, but you do get what you pay for. Will definitely do it again and again.

Very annoyed. My husband received an e-gift certificate that we cannot use because they only allow people to use them Tuesday thru Friday and my husband works on those days. Ive been trying to get someone to help for well over 3 hours now and they just keep telling me they havent had time to deal with it.

I went to get nose and upper lip waxing yesterday as I was leaving the appointment I still had hair in my nose the I let the person know I still had hair she acted surprised n said she would fix it she waxed only one nostril n I checked my nose today n it was still full of hair I called the salon back to let them know n they supposedly couldnt even find that I had been there the day before she asked if I wanted to comeback in for a new appointment I asked if would have to pay again n I was told yes Im very disappointed with the services I received

Was here maybe 2-3weeks ago with my girlfriend and ended up having to fix her haircut because this is how it turned out.
