Ive been going here for years and have always had great service and good prices. Im about to make another yearly appointment and thought Id leave a review.

Straightforward exam at a competitive price, my prescription was written incorrectly my mistake but they fixed it pronto over the phone and everything is well.

My eyes had been very red and irritated for a few months. Id gone to several doctors all over the country who prescribed drops for dry eyes, red eyes, allergy meds and one even prescribed for pink eye. None of which helped my eyes at all. I have great vision 20/10 and was extremely worried because Id never had problems before. My mom has been coming to Dr Espinosa for years. I did a quick visit, did not tell him any info of my other Dr experiences. Within 10min he zoomed in on my eyes and let me know all of my glands were obstructed and it was odd for someone my age. He scrapped my eyelid (super not fun, but worth it) and within seconds I had loads of stuff oozing from my glands. It lasted about 3 days and after that I had no eye issues. 10/10 recommend.

Dr. Espinosa and all of his staff are very helpful and make any visit a pleasant one.

He is an excellent doctor. Before I went to Dr. Espinosa, I was seen by five doctors. All said I would not be able to see normally the rest of my life. They tried the combination of contacts and glasses that did not work. Dr. Espinosa gave me perfect sight with soft contacts which allowed me to keep my job for another 25 years. The DMV has me legally blind without my contacts.I will see no other doctor but Dr. Espinosa.

I wouldn’t recommend this crook of doctor to anyone. My mom went to him to get her eyes checked and her eye was irritated so she told him it looked like something was on it. This took all of 10 min and he charged her $75 plus charged her insurance just to tell her she needs to go to the doctor. So instead of saying that in the beginning and not charging for services he did NOT provide he double charged. Man is a thief.

I have used Dr Espinosa for many MANY years and was satisfied with him . Then one day I went in only to be told that after that appt., I could no longer use him as my doctor, as he would NO LONGER ACCEPT MY INSURANCE cuz he had problems with others on IEHP. WELL PUNISH THEM...... not me. Now I don’t know which optometrist to use ..... DANGNABBIT.....

They are really bad with kids. They all lacked compassion and acted irritated. I brought my eleven year old son in to have his eyes checked and the staff and the Dr made us feel like we were in the way of their day . They acted rude. Not to mention we had an appointment and still waited for three hours! When the nurse dropped the dilating eye drops in my sons eyes she was sloppy about it and it stung his eyes and she said to him oh come on !! He almost started crying. She was rushing also. By the time it was over , the Dr didnt even tell us the results. Just basically shooed us out. I had to ask and when he answered , he sounded super irritated ! Like how dare I even ask what the results were. Strange they would be so angry seeming . We wont go back . I left feeling really bothered that I even paid them.

My boyfriend and I went here since they seemed to have the cheapest deals. We chose the highest quality lenses but they turned out to be cheap. My boyfriend sees color bleeds when looking at edges. They let us do a redo but they managed to exchange the frame size as well and still have lens problems. A lot of distortion. He is now stuck with an unusable pair of glasses. Not to mention the long wait times. We made an appointment for 3pm but wasnt seated until 5pm. Horrible experience.

Unfortunately I agree with a reviewers comments. Her story was nearly identical to my experience with my son who is 5 years old. I expected DrEspinosa to have some compassion and patience. Zero tolerance for kids. My regret is not walking out.

Dr. Espinosa is the best optometrist in the state. Ive been going to him for 20 years, and I refuse to go to anyone else. He and his staff are courteous, professional, and funny. The eyewear selection is also fantastic, and hits all price points for any budget (even high end designers!).

Great Eye Doctor! James Espinosa took special care of our eyes during the examination and gave us recommendations to make sure our eyes stay healthy. I have never seen an optometrist that cares so much for his patients

I have been taking my family to doctor Espinosa for years. The doctor and his staff have always been very professional and friendly. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I recently took my 3 year old daughter in for her first eye exam and had a horrible experience. In short, if a doctor does not know how to handle young children then they should not take on such appointments. My daughter was scared and overwhelmed which would be expected for a first time visit. She was not out of hand or acting out, she simply was scared and overwhelmed. Dr Espinosa acted irritated with us both, frustrated, repeating himself over and over again without giving my daughter a chance to answer or adjust. At one point myself and my daughter were in tears. My only regret is not walking out of the appointment sooner.Side note, the nursing staff was amazing and did their best to assist and make the experience go smoothly.

This is the best place ever I been his patient for the last 8 years, wouldnt go anywhere else!

James Espinosa and his staff are the best in the area. I have gone to them in the past. The professionalism of the office is the best in the tri-city area. He is great patient driven clinician.

Best eye dr in the area staff is always friendly and helpful i go here for me and my kids because of the great service ive recived for years.

My children and I have been going to this eye doctor for years! Him and his staff are awesome. For me, a business owner myself of over 18 years, I love to see other businesses that are offering great business service and awesome customer service. Its hard to find businesses that are still customer-friendly. They are very professional, very friendly, very helpful and you are not rushed in and out without your questions getting answered. I have also trusted them with my micro-preemies eyecare, which can be very intense and detailed from just a ordinary eyecare child. She is now 15 years old AND they understand her language delays and find the very best ways to communicate with her and make sure every single possible eye issue is covered! Also, the doctor doesnt just tell you what you need....he takes his time and explains and even shows the what/where/how etc. A REAL five star business!
