I worked at Highland glen for a little over 2 years & I LOVED it. After working at several rehab facilities and assited livings, I would recommend this place over any of them. The staff is kind and friendly. There are so many great activities for the residents. The facility is nice and clean. The food is also so good! Highland Glen has a very home like feel to it. I love it!

I love Highland Glen Assisted Living Center. My Father was a resident here for 8 months and was very well taken care of and felt as though he was with Family. The facility is nice and the staff is very attentive and caring. We took a group of young men over there to serve the residents and really appreciated how the staff made everyone feel like home.

MBK treats all guests and clients as family! They want you to feel welcomed and everyone always has a smile on their face! I am really impressed how they have treated my nana with care and respect. I look forward every time I go into MBK to visit my nana!

We spent over 3 years with my mother while she lived at Highland Glen. It became not only her home away from home, but ours too. We love the staff. Its small enough that they know each resident individually. And the staff didnt change all the time, so my mother, who has memory issues . . . actually knew many of the CNAs and employees by name.Paige, Jon and all the CNAs cared about not only the residents but also their families. I felt at home here, and so did my mom. She often said, If I cant be in my home this is where I want to be. We had to move her about a year ago to a different retirement center to be closer to family members, and now more than ever I appreciate Highland Glen. They were so responsive and caring. Easy to work with. There is a feeling of home. here. We all miss Highland Glen.

WOW. WOW. WOW. My father-in-law stayed here for 5 months before he passed away and it was just amazing. He felt so comfortable there, always excited about the activities. He said the nurses and staff were kind, caring, and always there to help him and they treated him like friends. It was clean, well-managed, and had a great atmosphere. The pricing was reasonable and the food was excellent. HIGHLY recommend!!!! You wont be disappointed.

Had I known that my mother would have loved it so much, we would have moved her here a few years earlier! Our family struggled for a long time about whether or not to put her in assisted living, but it was the right choice. Like I said, I would have done it sooner actually had I known how great Highland Glen is. the staff is awesome and its management cares. john takes time to talk with the residents and staff a lot. The nurses are great too and we just cant say enough good stuff. Thank you HG!

Beautiful home with lovely staff and sweet residents. I thought I knew what a good rest home looked like by visiting Stone Henge, but that place has nothing on the style and amenities of Highland Glen! I would house a loved one or even myself without hesitation.

From the first day I went on a tour, I loved this place and the staff. Todd was wonderful, helpful, went out of his way and so kind.John and the rest were so kind and friendly also. Though my mother was only there a short time before her passing, she was treated with dignity. I cant say enough good about them. If your loved ones needs an Assisted Living place in Utah County, this is for sure the one to go to. Everything was so clean, well kept, updated and a nice feeling as I walked in. You wont be disappointed :)

Highland glen is the absolute WORST place i have ever worked. I was a CNA there for 2 years and i’ll tell you right now i’ve never been in a more toxic work environment. If you are planning to move a family member in it is a great place, all the CNAs are so so hard working and kind to all the residents. But NEVER get a job there. I have had multiple members of management yell at me multiple times and say some of the meanest things to me ever. They are so unprofessional and treat all their employees so badly. The managements main concern is money, John (the boss) even told me that he only cares about employee complaints if the issue at hand is something illegal. Any other complains he does not care about. Most of the CNAs only stay for a few months because it’s an unbearable work environment to be in.

My father’s stay in Highland Glen was a lovely experience. From the moment we moved Dad in, the staff was helpful, kind and caring. I appreciated the personal, tender things they did to help him feel comfortable. Highland Glen is impeccably clean and all aspects of the building are in good repair. The food was wonderful. I ate there several times with Dad and enjoyed the good service in the dining room and the food. They have special family activities around holidays. I participated in the Mother’s Day brunch, which was great. There were daily activities to participate in. Dad and I enjoyed sitting in the Grand Room singing along while someone performed songs from Dad’s era. I have fond memories from the time my Dad spent in Highland Glen and highly recommend it to other families.

I appreciate the fact that every time I go into the building its clean, my sweet mom is clean and dressed and well taken care of. I also appreciate the fact that the staff is sensitive to my sweet fathers feelings. They know its hard for him to deal with needing the help of a care unit for his soulmate, their kindness and understanding means so much.

This place is THE very best around. We did our homework first and it paid off.The caring staff, the delicious food, the very approachable and competent administrator John and his team ... it’s the whole package. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my father-in-law. It’s clean, modern, and they have such fun activities that include the family too! Many wonderful memories here. Can’t recommend them highly enough!It’s nice to know that there are still facilities and staff around to provide such a loving and homelike stay. Five stars!!

It is a nice facility. My grandma was a resident here and we had a couple incidents that were not fun to deal with. Most all of the staff is wonderful a few if them need to hit the gym and learn to lift heavier than a plate.

Highland Glen personnel have been wonderful to work with. It isnt easy to work with an independent Senior Citizen who doesnt really understand whats happening around her, but everyone at Highland Glen has been so patient and helpful during our transition.Highland Glen is a clean facility with comfortable surroundings and friendly personnel. Its important to find a safe place for our elderly loved ones and Highland Glen has been that for our family.

Did an emissions test. They can renew the sticker right there. Was actually pretty quick.

We have had a great experience with Highland Glen. the staff is so friendly and accomodating. My dad has felt so comfortable there and has been very well taken care of. The food is fabulous and the smells coming out of the kitchen make you feel at home. Highland Glen has brought so much comfort to our family at this difficult time of transition. Id recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful facility and wonderful staff. Activities Director (Lisa) is awesome. Its nice that one side is assisted living and another side is memory care so the transition, when needed is less stressful. My mother has loved and felt at home there.

Our family has had many opportunities to volunteer here and witness the passing of friends who have lived their final days here. We are grateful for the patient staff that have shown great respect, care and professionalism. Thank you.

During the last five years, my parents and three additional family members have lived in the Highland Glen (formerly The Ashford) Assisted Living and Memory Care. I am amazed with the friendly, caring, uplifting, clean and safe environment that my family experienced while there. The staff have treated my family as their own family, which brings peace to me, knowing theyve been well cared for.

The supportive and helpful admin staff and the caregivers are superb. And the facilities are marvelous. My late father called his Highland Glen caregivers, “my angels.” Thank you all at Highland Glen!

My sons loved riding the jumps on their bikes. Btw, the bike jumps are north of the pond. They are up above the pond and west of the lacrosse fields.

Nice place. I hope they have room for my mother when shes ready to go next year.

My siblings and I toured about 9 different facilities in Salt Lake and Utah counties and Higland Glen was by far our favorite. The staff has been more than amazing to our mother, who is in the late stages of Alzheimers. The facility is beautiful she has her own room that looks out onto the garden. Our favorite part was that her room opens to big common area and not a hallway.

Highland Glen assisted living is truly the best of the best. Not only is it beautiful, but the staff are incredibly compassionate and responsive to their patient’s needs. I’ve seen the administrator Jon, RN Ingrid and their wonderful staff consistently go above and beyond to accommodate and help their residents. Their CNA’s are some of the best I’ve seen—taking so much time, effort, patience and showing so much TLC to their residents. As a LCSW in Hospice and Home health I visit many nursing homes and assisted living facilities and I could not recommend Highland Glen more highly.

The staff have generally been nice and welcoming to me; they appear to be taking care of my mother as well as can be expected with a dementia patient. My previous experience with Brookdale Senior Living tells me that MBK has done a better job at least in this facility. One area for improvement which I would suggest - a dedicated hospital shuttle.Like all Assisted Living places with legal exposure, they send your family member to the hospital if there is any problem with measured vitals; which is certainly understandable. And ambulance services are obscenely expensive, as with anything where they can render the service BEFORE telling you the cost. Imagine what a value this or any facility could render with a dedicated hospital shuttle. Failing that, an alternative suggestion might be to have the parent company vet local ambulance services and price-shop them, to provide not only a better deal for patients but also to let the services know they either compete or lose.

Disorganized, understaffed, didnt give my dad a lot of his prescribed meds, they just try to cover it all with a smile and shiny paint
