Both of my daughters had wisdom teeth removed at this practice. The doctors were very professional and caring. Pain control was addressed and managed well. They both recovered well and follow up care was diligent.

I was referred to this practice by my primary dentist to extract a molar which had a previous root canal and crown and had gone bad due to a probable crack. I was in extreme pain, barely able to think clearly. After poking and prodding, and administering several attempts at local anesthesia, it was determined I would need to undergo a course of antibiotics prior to having the tooth removed. I was sent home with a prescription for amoxicillin and one for six tablets of Acetaminophen/hydrocodone. I had been in pain for several days and had informed the staff at DeSalvos that I wasnt sure the pain killer would be strong enough, but was assured it would be. It was not. It barely dented the pain. I toughed it out overnight hoping the antibiotics would start to reduce the infection/pain. When I woke the next morning, everything hurt worse than the day before. I called the practice back, explained my situation, and asked for a stronger pain killer. I was informed that was the strongest they prescribed and I would just have to deal with it until the antibiotics kicked in. There was no caring expressed or any real attempt to help me with the unbearable mouth pain. The only thing they offered was to do a sedated extraction the next day which I did not want for safety and financial reasons. While many of the individual staff members were kind, and professional, some were not and I cannot recommend any provider who will not listen to their patients reports of extreme pain.
