We had an emergency today. They saw us first thing. Dr. Guyse was attending the office today. She was warm, professional and informative which immediately put us at ease. We were in very good hands with the care she gave us today .She is impeccable. She explained every detail and told us what to expect in the future . What a great addition to an already amazing team! Thanks so much from the bottom of my heart!

Dr. Drake is a Wonderful Dr. But his Staff is another thing .. I was a few minutes late and was told I was going to have to reschedule I told them I would have to find another eye doctor then because my glasses were broke and I needed new ones asap.. I was then told I would be fit it eventually.. but was seen immediately because there was no one else in the office..I was rushed to pick my glasses so I hope I like them when I get them.

My wife loved them! She went in with our almost two year old little girl with her. Everyone was extremely patient with them. The staff and the doctor have great costumer service and explained everything very well.

Dr Drake is professional, informative, timely, & was a pleasure to deal with. However, his staff is terrible & lack any people skills as others have also experienced. They rush you out the door with a constant reminder that they are closed at 1. If time is a problem dont schedule people near closing time. Problem solved. They tell me that i have the worst eyecare insurance although it covered everything, and after a month of waiting for my prescription they finally call me to tell me the lab broke my glasses and it will take another 10 days or more to get the replacements. Hopefully Ill get them before I need a new prescription and they will be correct unlike others reviews whom have had problems with the prescription coming back wrong. Additionally the staff informed me at my appointment that my insurance was approved and what was covered before choosing options and frames but then called a few days after my visit to tell me they have 1 paper saying insurance was denied but another that says it was approved. Pro tip: check your facts before calling patients to at least make an attempt to seem competent.First and last visit.

He isnt my sons regular eye doctor but his regular doctor was out io vacation and we had an eye emergency. After calling 4 other doctors he was the only one who would see him in an emergency situation. He was very detailed and was nice to us and very helpful! Thanks again for working us in!

No one was wearing a mask when I went a month or so ago. Cheapest pair of frames I saw were 160.

Had a great experience here. The wait wasnt long, Dr. Drake communicated everything well and didnt push anything on me and his staff were all polite and helpful.

Awesome staff, awesome selection of frames. Dr. Drake was personable and made sure I understood everything about my eye health and why he was making the recommendations he made. Will recommend to all of my friends.

They moved my appointment without telling me and then insisted it was my fault because I should have known it was moved because I didnt get a confirmation of appointment text. All they want to do is argue and be rude, my wife received the same type of rude treatment last time and has already started to switch doctors, evidently I am too now.

I spent over an hour waiting for my appointment. The staff was extremely helpful, but the Dr was very rude. He did not apologize for the wait and continued to be rude the entire visit. I will not be back and if I hadnt already waited as long as I had I would have left then.

Terrible service, my son went today and they made him wait for almost 2 hours and the worst part he didnt see the doctor, they didnt apologize for making him wait. This is ridiculous, people have jobs and you should know sometimes we take a couple of hours from work to go to the dr. Will be changing eye dr. for the family.

The staff and the Dr have always been extremely nice and helpful , in fact I drive from Decatur to use Dr Drake. They have always worked me in when I needed something. Thanks Dr Drake and Staff !!!!!

We have used Dr. Drake and his staff for years. Hes extremely nice and patient. I moved away from Hartselle 8 years ago, but still go back to Hartselle for all of our eye appointments.

Some of the staff was polite and other rude. I waited 1 hour and 35 min for my appointment. The doctor himself was rude when I told him I did not want to have to wear glasses everyday all day. He said I had no choice so I then wanted to pick out a perfect pair and the lady helping me was RUDE and very inconsiderate of my feelings. She even caused me to cry because she told me Oh you dont want to get that pair because you will have coke bottle lenses. I always appreciate someones honest opinion but there was defiantly a better way of saying that. I hate I wasted my year of allowances through our insurance at this doctor.

Dr. Drake is a great optometrist, his staff his friendly and always eager to help his patients.
