I got all four of my wisdom teeth out today by Dr. McCafferty.. he is a class act! I cant explain how nervous and anxious i was for this procedure but he made me feel very comfortable, explained things as they were happening and offered me short breaks in between extractions. The whole process was so much easier than i could have imagined. Thank you so much for your time and expertise!

That McCafferty pulled all my wisdom teeth like a pro. I don’t have insurance and I was checking prices. Make sure you check him out if you need this done! In my opinion he can’t be beat.

Great place. Very professional and friendly staff. The dentist made sure to walk me through everything and show me before and after pictures as well. Im very cautious about doing business in this town because Ive had bad luck, but I can assure you this place is A+, pleasant, and they know what theyre doing and do it well. In only an hour they processed me as a new patient, took x-rays, thoroughly explained those x-rays, filled a cavity, and set me up with a specialist for an implant. I found the dentist for me, I highly recommend this place.

After having 50% of my mouth worked on by military personnel, Dr. Carella was a breath of fresh air. Super professional and personable. Answered all my questions to the best of his knowledge. Allegany Dental provided a comfortable and numbing experience for all the work being done in my mouth. The friendly staff was great!

We found this place by accident a few years ago when my daughter had a dental emergency, needless to say the care we received by Dr. McCafferty was amazing. He is always so kind and gentle and he makes it a point to have a good laugh with us at every appointment. Everyone from the front desk girls to the assistants are amazing! I can honestly say we have had many dentists over the years and I usually never made it past the initials appointments before never returning again but this place I actually look forward to our routine cleanings and so does my daughter! Highly, highly recommend this place!!!!

I have moved several times in the past 6 years, so finding a new and reliable dentist is always a struggle for me. Once I stepped into Allegany Dental I knew right away, this would be a positive experience. The wait is never long. The office is very clean (and has an area for children to play in the wait room). Everyone was very professional and personable. Dr. Matthew Carella did an amazing job on fixing some filings that a previous dentist had done. He was able to answer all my questions and provide a comfortable experience. I highly recommend Allegany Dental Care.

Good for adult dental care. Hygienists are friendly and great with kids. The dentist my children and I have is very impatient with children. I wouldn’t recommend for kids.

Allegany Dental has been my dental care facility for more than 40 years! Unfortunately I have genetically soft teeth and have quite an extensive record. Their service has always been on time and exceptionally done. Dr. Smith has done almost all the work and I am quite pleased with his capabilities. I have heard excellent reviews of the other dentists at the practice as well. I am so pleased with their service that I drive 55 miles to obtain it. And... the staff is some of most pleasant of all the doctors offices I visit. Oh, and the prices are fair, especially compared to the large metropolitan area I currently live in. I would like to highly recommend Dr. Tom McCafferty and his very friendly and caring staff, Heather and Carly, at Allegany Dental Care. I opted for implants with snap-on dentures. A temporary denture was made which allowed me to never be without teeth while the implant procedure was healing. Dr. Tom was so very particular and precise that my permanent snap-on dentures are perfect. The complete program was managed very smoothly and efficiently by the staff. Thanks to an exceptional great team.

I was here last week to have one of my wisdom teeth pulled. They did an excellent job numbing my gums and removing my tooth with ease. I experienced absolutely no pain whatsoever during the entire process nor during the days of recovery afterwards.I was also here two weeks prior to having my wisdom tooth pulled for a six month check up, and could tell the hygienist who cleaned my teeth was very experienced at what she did, I experienced no discomfort which is unprecedented during these kind of checkups for me, especially around my gums.At any rate, I would highly recommend these guys to anybody, especially those who are nervous about having any kind of work done in their mouth like me. The staff and doctors that work here are easy to talk to and confident professionals in everything they do.

I absolutely loved my experience at Allegheny dental care! Dr. Carella was extremely professional, personable, and walked me through every step of my first filling. I was a little nervous going in, but he made me feel very comfortable throughout the process. He even noticed some damage to my teeth from grinding (Ive been doing it forever) and offered to make me a night guard that was much better than the bulky rubber one I had been using for years. I was very pleased with the work he did, and will certainly be returning for all of my future care!

I can recommend them to anyone! Not only did they fix my tooth (which had a piece break off) they made me feel at ease. I normally see Dr Smith but he was out of town so I saw Dr Carella today and he is awesome! If you are looking for great dental care, I can highly recommend them all! My kids and I have been patients there since 2006 and I cant say enough nice things about everyone there. The office is clean and bright and they have a kids area in the waiting room. Check them out!

This practice is charging me for a product that I have never seen or received from them. I have called them and written letters to them so they could work with me to get this straightened out but they never called me back as promised nor have they responded to my letters. They have totally ignored me and now this is on my credit report. I absolutely do not recommend this practice!!

Allegany Dental Care is a 5 star, A+ true professional dental care establishment! I walked in, new to the area, not having been to the dentist in 4 or 5 years. The great folks there, Erin, Jordan, Wendy and Dr McCafferty were outstanding in getting my appointments set up, on a workable schedule, and doing a great job getting me back on track as well as fixing some of my teeth before my wedding! Dr McCafferty is a all around guy with the personality to die for, and can see he enjoys working with the people around him and his patients, keeps the mood of getting dental work done positive and can always crack a joke and be fresh! Wonderful folks, and lets not forget about the wonderful, beautiful front desk staff who are amazing, helpful and set up a great pay by appointment schedule with the amount, working the appointments to fix to your schedule and being all around happy people! Definitely an amazing experience after coming from a miserable experience at my old dentist and made me happy to go back for dental hygiene and oral work!

**Long review but worth the read!** Im one if those people who absolutely feared going to the dentist. I used to compare going to the dentist as going to the DMV. You leave feeling frustrated, about to cry and you hate the whole world and everyone in it. After not seeing a dentist for about 7 years I had major problems going on with not only my teeth but my gums. I had two bottom front teeth that were very loose and a gum line that was receding badly. I finally called Allegany Dental, in July, and they set me up with an appointment with Dr. Carella. After talking with Dr. Carella for a few minutes all my worries about dentists went away. He has a very calm and professional personality, and put me at ease. We discussed my concerns and he told me about what he planned to do to help me have a brighter smile and stable teeth. A week later I went back to get all the plaque cleaned off my teeth and have a splint put in, on the back of my four lower front teeth, to stabilize my two loose teeth. I was not terrified once! Dr. Carella was super nice and very comforting the whole time. He did not make me feel little once, as some dentists made me feel in the past. After that appointment, I needed to make four more for what they call quad cleaning. If you dont know what that is, look it up on Google. Ive already written so much and have much more to write. My first quad cleaning was with Erin. Oh my goodness! She is so awesome and sweet! Very professional and comforting! My gums are super sensitive and I needed to be numbed up. I was very anxious about the needle but she numbed me with a topical gel before inserting the needle and I didnt even feel it!!! She has done an outstanding job with cleaning up my teeth and especially my gums! She showed me the proper way to clean my teeth and gave me some ideas of what products to get to help keep my mouth healthy. Each time I had to make an appointment, I asked for Erin because she made me feel at ease. Everyone who works at this location is very professional and kind. But I feel that Dr. Carella and Erin went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and at ease. Today was my last quad cleaning and they showed me a before picture, before my teeth were touched by a dental tool, and an after picture, after Erin cleaned and polished my teeth. I couldnt believe the difference!!! If I didnt know what my teeth looked like before, I would have not believed that these pictures were of the same teeth. I am overjoyed at the end result. I will refer everyone I know to this office and location. I highly recommend them and highly recommend the team of Dr. Carella and Erin!

My family & I have used Allegany Dental Care for approximately 9 years and absolutely love them. Dr. McCafferty and the staff are extremely friendly & accommodating. I just chipped a tooth last night and when I called in this morning to see when I would be able to be seen, they were able to fit me in today!We originally started out with Allegany Dental when my wife had an insurance plan they accepted and now, even though we no longer carry that insurance, we still choose to pay out of pocket, just so we can know we are well taken care of for our dental needs.If you are looking for a highly professional dental practice who really cares about their clients, my family and I highly recommend Dr. McCafferty at Allegany Dental Care on Leightersburg Pike in Hagerstown.
