Josh & Ben were pleasant, courteous & professional. From what we observed they did a good job of installing a new Lennox gas heat & a/c system. They removed the old duct work, put down a new vapor barrier & fabricated & installed new duct work. They had to work in the rain to get the job done. Well I cant say that they did anything except come out to my house and visabally looked at my unit and had me sign a contract to debit my bank account and when I called to cancell I guess I didnt use the right words so they just continued with the debt resulting in not only a payment to them that wasnt there but overdraft fees tooh hooting they correct te situation a

I can’t express how amazing this company is. We used them for our HVAC and now a new water heater. Hector S installed our new water heater and I can’t express how thankful we are to him. He came even though they we’re going to reschedule us(I assume because of time) because he saw the note that we had some flooding from a leaking water heater. Well... I had a plumbing emergency in my home and 5-Star was the only company that could make it the same day. Although the technician arrived a bit later than the time window, he was very professional, friendly, and in a great mood. (It was very late evening). Entire experience has been great. The salesman Jay came out the same day I called about a quote. He was honest, professional and upfront about our need to reduct our house. The installation team was out the next morning to install, which really surprised me with how fast they moved. Heath W. and Dillon S. we’re great. They worked fast/clean and had my AC back on in a few hours. As they were working on our house a manager came out and introduced himself I believe his name was Lee; he came out to ensure everything we needed was provided and taken care of. They also went above and beyond by taking pictures of the duct work/issues underneath the house for me to provide for my insurance claim. Really impressed with the entire company and would highly recommend.

The technician named Hector , did an outstanding job! He surely knows what he is doing. We had a gas leak in our fireplace and he was able to get the job done. He was very professional and kind. When my A/C went out I called a couple different places and Five Star was the first with same-day availability. The technician came out and looked around for a bit before telling me that my thermostat was fried as well as the entire board on my attic unit, and that I also had an R-22 leak. I was informed that these repairs would run me around $3,000 and that it would be worth looking into getting a whole new system. Then, they sent a sales guy to my house who told me my cheapest option would be nearly $8,000! Luckily, I got a second opinion from an incredible company called Chisholm Heating and Air. All I really needed was a new thermostat and a small fuse replaced on my unit. I was back up and running in under an hour and for less than $300. Oh, and my system doesnt even use R-22. So Im not sure if the techs at Five Star are liars, or just completely incompetent. Either way, I will definitely not be using them again.

Hector Soto is the technician who repaired the leak we had. He explained the problem clearly and was very effluent, but thorough, with the fix. We have used 5-star for many years snd have been very pleased with all of their services. Their technicians are courteous and knowledgeable.

My wife and I wanted to replace our existing camera prewiring to wiring compatible with our current cameras. We were told the technician would arrive between 1-4 pm. The technician arrived after 6pm, literally looked in the attic less than 5 minutes (didn’t go in/turn on the light), says how easy the job will be, and quoted me $2400 to run 2 wires. It took longer to write this review than the actual consultation. I was aware of the $65 consult fee, but this company is purposefully vague with their pricing. Buyers beware!!!

I cannot say enough great things about the experienced, knowledgeable and very caring technicians that installed my new duct work!

I hired them to install 2 outlets along with 2 new breakers in the house.I was quoted a little more than $2,000.00 and I authorized the work not knowing it would only take less than 1 hour to complete everything.The materials couldn’t cost more than $200.00.So, a fair warning-don’t make the same mistake I did.I’m not saying that it’s their fault, I signed the contract.It’s been 4 weeks since it’s been completed and never heard a word from anyoneAlso I never received a receipt from them

This was my first time using Five Star. The water supply valve to our toilet needed to be replaced. Their technician Hector was wonderful. He was extremely knowledgeable and efficient. He also made sure to explain the issue and what he needed to do to fix it. He really made a great first impression of the company for me.

Have had some issues with digital thermostat communicating with heat pump unit. Wiring was replaced many months ago and working fine. Received an error code at the panel today. Technician Joshua Almodovar has been to my house a few times to resolve the issue and last time told me to call him directly with any problems or concerns. I did and he answered my call right away and kindly talked me through how to do a hard reset. Resolved within 10 minutes - Thanks Josh!!

My initial contact for scheduling estimate visit was very good and I received a follow up call the evening before my next day appointment to remind me of appointment - NICE!!. Hector, the technician, showed up the next morning on schedule, he was very professional but conversational and after a few minutes of talking with him, I had a good feeling about how the estimate would go. Hector was up front, honest and friendly. His fund of knowledge about hot water heaters and plumbing in general was impressive. He answered ALL my questions and I had the feeling he was there to really help and guide me i making the RIGHT decision for my situation. Normally, I would have gotten several more estimates before proceeding with the job, but, after my interaction with Hector, I was convinced on the spot I would proceed with the work and asked him to prepare an estimate, and I asked him...you are the one doing the work, right?. I told him what I wanted and he prepared an estimate with three different options and price ranges. We discussed them and I agreed for him to start the work that day. Hector did an exceptional job with the installation. I checked on him under the crawl space at some point and he stopped to explain what he had done, and what was left to be done. He explained EVERYTHING about the heater...function, emergency actions, etc, etc. The installation was superb, neat and VERY professional and YES!!!...everything worked perfectly.Besides the wonderful work Hector performed....what really struck me and convinced me to not get any other estimate and for him to start the wok that day, was his sense of honesty so much so that I got the feeling what he was telling me and recommending was exactly what he would have told Hector the customer, if the roles were reversed. In all my years of dealing with contractors and technicians, I can honestly say that my experience with Five Star plumbing, and especially Hector, was the most honest feeling Ive ever had. If you ever decide to use Five Star, and I dont know why you wouldnt, I would definitely ask for Hector to do your work. Im sure the other technicians are very good if they are anything like Hector, but I can definitely tell you that Hector is almost the perfect technician, if there is such a thing, that you want doing your work and let me say, my wife and I were very pleased with him and I am asking for Hector if I ever need any more plumbing work done. Five Star is very lucky to have him on staff and I applaud Five Star for having the BEST company, staff and Hector.. I give Five Star FIVE STARS and would give them ten starts if I could.

I had an electrical fire at my house over 2 weeks ago and Five Star were the only ones that returned my call. Ron came out the very next day and was very informative and helped put my mind at ease about the situation. Five Star understood that I was working with an insurance company. Jeff and Justin came out a few days later and had everything fixed within a day and a half. I felt really bad for them because it was so hot outside but they remained friendly and conversational :) and I’d like Justin to know that I miss looking at his face very much lol. I love Five Star!ETA: my initial experience was good. Afterward was not. I found a wire that was still burned right next to the one that they replaced (that they left hanging there). I don’t understand how it got missed. Duke Energy had us on the schedule to turn the power back on and if I hadn’t noticed that wire, I’m not sure what would have happened.Also. Make sure their initial quote is correct. If it looks too good to be true, it’s because it is. I ended up paying them 3,000 more for the wire they missed plus replacing other circuits. I get that they need to be paid for their work but if the original quote is wrong, they should have told me that to begin with and not tell me that they will “honor it”. In the end, I ended up paying more than other more expensive quotes I received. Had I went with one of the others, the whole thing would have been over a week sooner. Anyway, it was a nightmare. 2 stars for Five Star. 😯

Spent $10,000 on a new AC system. That system couldnt keep up with anything more than 10 degrees difference in outdoor/indoor temp. It cannot even keep the house below 80 on an average SC day. They installed a additional mini split for the times that it couldnt keep up, which we have to run daily in the summer. Had them service it for 5 years. On year 6, I have an issue with the iComfort thermostat and schedule service. Now they say it will be another $3,000 to replace the thermostat and clean the system.Not happy.

Hot water tank sprung a leak and had to be replaced. Called 5 Star and they scheduled a technician to be on site that afternoon. Josh arrived around 3:00PM and inspected the tank and recommended replacing it. Gave me a quote for new Commercial tank and install costing. Agreed to have him move forward with removal of old and install the new unit. Josh returned around 1:00PM the next day and completed the removal and install in a very timely manner. Josh was totally professional and knew exactly what needed to be done.

I contacted Five Star this morning and a technician was assigned & dispatched the same day a little after noon. Our technician name was Buddy and I will refer him any day. He came told me what the problem was with our gas valve and service check for leaks for the fire place insert. He explained everything and as nervous as I am with gas he made me confident and got everything taken care of within an hour and half if that. Buddy I definitely give you 5 stars and if I need other repairs Im definitely going to request you 😊!!

The Five Star office called me in advance letting me know that Josh was on his way for my scheduled annual maintenance. Josh proceeded to do a thorough inspection of both up and downstairs units. He noticed a higher than normal level of mold in the upstairs unit and then proceeded to recommend a proper cleaning and then an installation of a UV light to eliminate this as an issue going forward. Josh is very knowledgeable and did a great job inspecting and completing the annual maintenance. Josh represents Five Star Heating and Cooling very well with his professional manner and knowledge.

My technician, Buddy, was extremely efficient and knowledgeable. He was early in the promised window and quickly identified and repaired the problem while explaining things to me.Furthermore, he initially thought the fan motor was going to have to be replaced but took extra steps and resolved the problem w/o having to replace the motor. Great experience!! Called Five Star after getting home from work with no heat. Within 30 minutes after the call Buddy was at our house. Very polite and friendly! I would give 0 stars if i could. Didnt have issues with mold in the unit until 5 star plumbing touched it. Had a bunch of work and upgrades done in my attic and this is what i get. Was a nightmare dealing with the contractors since day 1. Now i have to replace the unit. Dont recommend these people for any work on your home.

I discovered Five Star after another plumbing company left me with a busted main water pipe under my house leaving me without water for 3 and 1/2 weeks with 2 little children!! I called Five Star explained my situation and they had someone to come out and look at the problem that same day. The following day they came and fixed the problem! Installed all new water piping under my house with a 20 year warranty. My plumbing tech name was Stephen Burnette and he was amazing! Very nice, efficient, and informative! We had a water leak at the regulator on our side of the water meter. Definitely considered an emergency. Stephen arrived cheerful even though he thought his day was over after his last call. After discussing the problem and having me sign the work order, he went straight to work. He did a good job and was able to save me some money. I wil call him back in a minute if I have some other problem.

Coordinators were very helpful and timely in responding to email and then scheduling service appointment, and technician arrived within the defined time window. Need isolation valve on main water supply, but opted to expand scope and replace water regulating valve at same time. Cost was pricey, but figured better to be proactive. Tech install time was fairly short, so asked tech whether water pressure was good. Awoke the next day to a wet basement with a number of leaks. Measure water pressure it was 110 PSI - 30 PSI above whats allowed by local regulations. Ended up spending remainder of adjusting pressure valve myself and then repairing and replacing water damaged areas and material. $530 for cost of service and another $500 in damages. I would NOT recommend due to experience.

Hector is a professional with a wealth of knowledge. The work that he preformed was above expections and he found a solution to the issue. I was also impressed with his friendly can do attitude and willingness to answer all of my questions. When I have the need for a plumber in the future I will use Five Star and ask for Hector.

My husband and I live in a very cold old house. We found Five Star through Dukes energy referral system and couldn’t be happier with the product or services received. Daniel R., Chris A. and Darren G. were all great. They were very respectful of our home and patient with my neurotic dog. I waited a few days before leaving a review to see if I could tell a difference in heating/cooling and it’s been significant. We are very pleased! They had a hard job of cutting through plaster walls and ceilings to add vents. It made the biggest mess but everything was cleaned and returned to normal. Thanks so much!

Far too overpriced. Had them come out to redo my electric and plumbing throughout my 1.5 bathroom home. Electrician quoted $15k minimum for redoing the electrical box and $23k all together. Found another reputable and licensed company who was as disgusted with my original quote as I was and will be doing the same job for $7k. Plumbing was even worse, they quoted $25-28k, which is far above the highest plumbing standard of $15k. So we also found a licensed company to do the same job for just under $9k. Using these people is an utter waste of money and I didnt even bother with an HVAC quote.

Well Ive used five star on multiple occasions. Will never use them again. Tony is the reason. Unprofessional and shouldnt be dealing with customers. Asked to speak to a manager and he hung up with me. As a rental company who needs great customer service especially when dealing with plumbing or electricity. I would steer clear of this company. Ive never had to deal with a worse company and they will be losing my business over this.

Daniel was the lead on the installation of our new HVAC unit. He was here on time, even early which I appreciated. I was told it would take 2 or 3 days. Daniel had it done in two days. He was open with about what they found in the attic and explained what they were doing each day. They kept the areas clean and tidy. We were very pleased with their work, attitude and professionalism. He had Kyle Bailey working with him. On the last day the Manager came out and pretty much brushed off my questions about an app for the new thermostat. Kyle helped me download and set up the app. He was patient and I appreciated him taking the time to help me. It only took about 5 minutes.

I always go to Five Star for my plumbing and heat / AC issues. One of my AC units was not pumping out cold air this past week. With a few warm days left in the year, I wanted to go ahead and have my friends at Five Star come out and take a look. Buddy came and he was excellent (all of their technicians are) but Buddy was such a very nice guy. He also showed up early which was great! He clearly showed me what my issue was, explained the solution to me and got me up and running again in 90 minutes or so. Great job Five Star, thank you!

Hector Soto did a great job today and was very informative to my wife and myself. He answered all of our questions and also made some good maintenance recommendations. Hector represents Five Star and himself with the utmost in professional ethics.

Buddy S. was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and had a great customer service personality and attitude. Answered questions and made suggestions for how to further improve my system in the future. Glad that he was the technician assigned to my job!

Buddy Sullivan does an awesome job and is a great representative for Five Star Plumbing Heating Cooling.I also have to give a big thanks to “Tony D” for taking care of me. I apologize for getting a little angry.My issues were that my spouse heard noises coming from our blower located in the attic. I honestly never heard it but my spouse swears there’s a noise. Buddy explained that the sounds were coming from the condenser unit outside and that during cold weather, it’s going to make certain sound due to the unit attempting to warm the condenser coils.All is well and while I previously gave this company 2 stars, I calmed down a couple of hours later and regret for giving a good company a negative review. Sorry guys.

Our Plumber, Josh Stovall, took great care of us. He was professional, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable of the situation. We had stains on the ceiling indicating water leakage from the tub above. He diagnosed the problem correctly and quickly, and had everything fixed the same day. If we have plumbing issues in the future, we will continue to use Five Star, and will be requesting Josh again.

Steve Burdett is knowledgeable and professional but above that his focus on customer satisfaction was most impressive. During the past few weeks as he worked electrical fit up of our shop and then the hot water heater/Nat gas lineinstall, he consistently went the extra mile, checking with me often to make sure he was meeting my expectations. He was patient when I had questions. He truly exemplifies the 5-Star montra and culture your organization asseverates via your company name. Great Job!!!

Stephen was very polite and knowledgeable. Followed mask protocols and even covered his shoes when he came in. He gave me the estimate up front and had me fixed in less that 30 minutes. Will use them again.

These guys were great. Showed up on time, worked thru the coldest day of the season. Very courteous and considerate. They even fixed a problem with the duct work. We had a few general issues such as leaky faucets, low water pressure, new kitchen faucet installation, shower leak, toilet resetting/internal rebuild, among other items that required attention. Stephen came in on a Saturday to get these issues taken care of, did a wonderful job in every area and had such a great attitude and demeanor. As a service agreement customer (we have been for years), it was time for our winter inspection. Donnie, who was assigned as our technician, was very professional and courteous, even asking if we would like for him to wear a mask inside the house, which I very much appreciated. Suggested an upgrade to the system to alleviate a potential problem, which we decided to do, and he took care of it while he was onsite. Great customer service; we continue to be satisfied customers of Five Star.

Tony R. Blackwell was professional and courteous. He diagnosed my gas furnace issue quickly and returned the same day with the parts to get the house warm before sunset. I highly recommend Five Star.
