Just moved here and needed a new pediatrician. My daughter needed an appointment and they told me that due to me getting a certain insurance they could not accept self pay. I will never recommend this pediatrician for anybody. Glad you’re not my first impression of Texas. The office staff needs to take some lessons in customer service that’s for sure.

Never again! After this place INSISTED they accepted my insurance, they billed me as out of network. Also I wish I had read the reviews about Barry Justice before letting my son see him. He was incredibly condescending and talked over me constantly. AWFUL experience.

Bad experience and chose to find a new pediatrician. The doctor treated me like I was an idiot for asking questions and voicing concerns. At one point laughed and said in a patronizing voice Oh maam. I brought up Dr. Sears vaccine book in regards to his recommendation to spread vaccines out more to limit the risk of reactions and was told if I didnt do them on the exact schedule they suggested then they wont see my child. The nurse also lied to me by telling me no daycare or school will accept a child who isnt vaccinated or who is on a delayed vaccine schedule. I informed her that I had already researched it and she was incorrect. I left there and found another office that had no issue with spreading vaccines out.The doctor also offered no breastfeeding help in the very beginning. We were still working out the kinks and trying to establish a good latch and milk supply. He told me to stop breastfeeding and switch to formula. I went on my own to seek breastfeeding help and within 3 days everything had worked itself out. He had a smug comment to me at our appointment the following week and tried to take credit for my babies weight gain by saying See the formula worked better didnt it? I smugly told him I didnt give a single drop of formula and that I went elsewhere for breastfeeding help. He just shrugged it off.

I love their staff. I have 3 young children and dont know how I would get through some of the appointments without their patience and understanding.

Terrible service. The office staff is not friendly. When I walked in the receptionist ignored me to finish her non-medical related conversation and never even glanced at me until she was done. Then the nurse was rude, never introduced herself and immediatley demanded that I schedule the next appointment. I was there as a first time visit to get to know everyone and was taken aback. She was shocked that I would not schedule 3 months in advance and kept insisting. Then Dr. Patterson came in wearing flip flops and seemed somewhat disinterested. The vaccines went terrible as the used both arms and her legs and the nurse seemed annoyed that she was wailing. Then after the appointment they gave her some cheap toys that were too small for a 1 year and clearly a choking hazard. Also had bloodwork done which no one ever called me about. I called back a month later and they said well, we would call you if it was abnormal I mentioned they should try to let people know that at the time of appointment which she did not acknowledge nor did they every apologize for anything. Will never go back here and do not recommend at all!

Both of my kids see Dr.Allenbaugh, and we have been very happy with our experiences there over the past couple of years. Dr.Allembaugh always takes all of my concerns seriously and is very thorough. I have been to doctors in the past that just assume everything is a virus and they dont test for anything else. Dr.Allembaugh isnt like that at all. She also is very willing to give my kids the medicine they need rather than ignoring my concerns and making me come back several times before taking me seriously. The office is nice and clean, and there is always a doctor on call to help with anything after hours.

I had read the horrible online reviews about Dr. Justice, but given Allembaugh has always been great... When my daughter became ill, it was more important to get her checked out. Truly, the worst experience in my life. He was beyond patronizing, dismissive, disrespectful, spoke to me like I was stupid child, and interrupted me when I tried to speak. I finally understand what “mansplaining” is and why everyone hates it. We actually walked out. Again, the only time in my life (and 20+yrs in healthcare) that I have walked out on a healthcare provider. This man is dangerous with his God-Complex and should no longer practice medicine. We won’t be going back, even to Allembaugh, just because he was so awful, I don’t want to contribute to his financial prosperity in any way. Highly recommend any pediatrician but this office.

Im not one to make a bad review about someones buisness but they have got to be the rudest people ive ever met. the people at the front desk, the nurse, and the pedicatrian are all so disrespectful. the attitude i get is OUTRAGEOUS, and on top of all that, they lack in a lot of other departments. i will never be going back.

I read bad reviews, but I am not one to listen to rumors; so I went anyway. Dr. Justice called CPS on me for breastfeeding. He said my baby was too small. My baby is small because he was later diagnosed with Klippel Feil Syndrome, which presents with short stature and a cervical spine fusion. It is a disease that develops in utero and the mother has no control over. He noticed both, but rather than listen to me tell him he was getting enough breast milk he had CPS come and traipse through my life. Complete with them asking my neighbors about me and my neighbors calling my landlord. Dr. Justice said horrible things to me too. That I was starving my baby, I was going to kill him, his body was so hungry it would start eating his brain, my breast milk looked like skim milk, it was useless, and I am a horrible mother. Well, jerk, if you had spent a few minutes listening to me you could maybe have diagnosed it for what it was instead of assuming you know everything. I have four kids, my oldest being 13. Not once has CPS ever been called on me or has anyone ever even considered calling them on me because I am a loving mother.

Today I had a bad experience.I went with my 14 year old son because he had a cough and fever. I didnt have an appointment but they gave me one on the spot. I asked how much the appointment was going to cost me and they told me $ 79 if they dont do any tests and $ 115 if they do any tests. After waiting for 1 hour in the doctors office for WELCH, I checked him and said it was a virus, he did NOT perform any tests !!!When I went to the front to pay for my consultation they told me that the total was $ 153, ask why ???? And the employee MARSELA, not very nice, told me that was what the doctor had said, only for the time she was with us (it was not more than 10 minutes) and because since 2011 we had not taken him to that clinic !! !! ..... So ??????Of course I had to pay it because she didnt give me any other option and told me that she couldnt bother Dr. WELCH to ask her the reason for that bill.It gave me a lot of pity because Dr. FRY also works there, taking care of my son since he was 3 years old.It cost me more than if I had gone to a private clinic.
