Had a great experience visiting Dr. Tom Atkinson this morning. I needed emergency work done on a lower brace behind my front teeth. The brace popped off after 7 years of service. Dr. Tom got me in in less than 24 hours which was great by me as I was having problems eating with the brace flopping around in my mouth. Dr. Tom simply removed and replaced the old brace with a new one. The fix he performed was perfect since the new brace felt just like the old one did 7 years ago. I thought it was remarkable how he was able to reproduce something he had done such a long time ago. Thank you Dr. Atkinson, ...Kudos to you!

A 5 out of 5 is woefully short of the Dr Tom practice and experience. Maybe 10 out of ten. Way more than the knowledge, skill, professionalism, and expertise. The staff is a family of exceptional friendly, warm, caring, sensitive, compassionate people, a true joy. And for kids,wow! - from the elevated train that encircles the rooms going through and emerging from wall tunnels, to the white board to write notes and drawings on, to the kid friendly movies playing, to the Illuminated sign with the names of new patients and those graduating from their completion of care and treatment and more. No matter one’s age, you are special and you know it. I could go on and on, but for me, I truly look forward to my next appointment and will miss this exceptional staff of people when my treatment is ended. To Dr Tom and his entire staff, thank you. Dr. Tom is great. He took great care of my son‘s teeth when he was in high school roughly 18 years ago. Our son never had any issues then or since, and his smile has been seen on several TV shows and in a few movies since then. Dr. Tom also took care of my lower teeth 16 years ago, and just last month I returned for a slight adjustment needed as a result of one contact on my retainer coming off. They still had my file, and he and his staff remembered me and my son. They were as friendly, like family, like it was years ago. My oldest saw Dr Tom for braces and we were Pleased. The office is welcoming and comfortable. Dr Tom and his staff are great. When my middle daughter needed braces it was an easy decision to take her to Dr Tom. She has had health issues since she was a baby. She is very sensitive and tender hearted. Dr Tom is so sweet to her and compassionate. Sometimes things can be uncomfortable and you need to know someone understands and cares. I highly recommend Dr Tom.

Dr. Tom and his staff are fantastic. My oldest child went through braces and her teeth are beautiful! Everything was explained so we knew exactly what was going to happen and the time frame. My youngest child just started the expander process. Again, the process of expander and braces were explained so we all understood what would happen. Both of my children are shy, but the staff made them feel comfortable from the first day. Financially, Dr. Tom was able to save us money! Appointments are always on-time. My children also love the PlayStation gaming systems in the waiting room. Overall, our experience with Dr. Tom has been excellent!

At the end of the day, he was very skilled and giving patients the autonomy they needed while also being there to provide guidance if needed.

Contrary to popular belief, I love my ortho visits! Dr Tom is a straight-shooter who gives me options for my treatment plan. I love that he involves me by discussing costs, medical necessity, etc during treatment so that I’m prepared and satisfied with the results we’re intending to obtain. In the 6 months that I’ve been here, I’ve never been more confident about my smile; missing tooth and all!! I learn from him, not only about dental health, but about musical classics (from artists such as The Beatles and Anita Baker) since the selection of music is always so clutch!

Many years ago, my two children were patients of Dr. Toms. They loved going to their appointments because they built a relationship with him and his wonderful and friendly staff. They are 21 and 24 years old now and still enjoy keeping in touch with them all via Facebook.I decided at 49 years old, to touch up my smile. This time around, I didnt have to research orthodontists, compare pricing and sit through numerous consults.....I already knew who was the BEST in town!

If you need braces then this is the place to go! From day one they make you feel relaxed and comfortable. From the first talk about fees and procedures to setting up the first appointment it was a breeze and the waiting room is perfect for kids of all ages they have video games and cool seating for kids and coffee and snacks for the adults! I always forget to ask for Dr.s notes for the kids but when you check out they have a note included with your next appt slip!! The best was when my daughter had her braces removed and they sang for her!! One of the best experience I have ever had at any type of Dr.s office!! Dr. Tom rocks!! Also my daughter wont stop smiling!! She is so happy and so am I with the results!

Dr. Tom and his staff have been treating my family for 4 years. I cannot say enough about this practice. We drive from Fountain Inn to Greenville and it is well worth the drive. Dr. Tom is very knowledgeable and up to date with his techniques. The staff are always smiling and friendly, which tells me they like their job. We even had an assistant call us on her own time to check on our son. We chose Dr. Toms practice after interviewing 4 different orthodontists. The statement that Dr. Tom said that made our final decision was, I choose a treatment plan based on each child and what their needs are. Dr. Tom makes braces fun!! I wish my orthodontist had been such fun when I was a kid. He is also committed to work done well. Anytime we have had an unexpected broken wire or bracket, he and his staff have been cheerfully accommodating to take care of the repair quickly - even on a beautiful summer Saturday afternoon!! With four kids in braces, I have spent a lot of time in his office. His waiting room is super-comfy and inviting - even has a public WiFi for working parents to come with a laptop for those longer appointments. Hot teas and coffee are always waiting. If you want a recommendation for an orthodontist, then visit Dr Tom! He and his staff rock!

The staff at Dr. Toms is great. If you have teenagers, this is a great place for them. As far as small children, I would probably choose another orthodontist. The doctor has very little patience for small children. Other than that its ok. The staff makes the visit worth it.

Dr.Toms office is the best! In the waiting room there are games and magazines that you can use while you are waiting. Everyone of his workers are so polite and nice, Trust me I would know I have been there a bunch of times! The first time me and my sisters went to sign up we got awesome t-shirts! If you forgot to brush your teeth before you came there is a sink, toothbrushes, and mouthwash for you to clean your teeth before your appointment. When you are done getting work done on your teeth there are crackers and snacks in a bowl! I think that Dr.Toms office is the coolest ever!-Zoie

I am thirteen years old and I have been with Dr. Tom for a year and a half. My brother, sister, and mom have also gotten braces from him. When you walk into the lobby, the inside of it is a kids dream. They have two play stations, videos, a working train that runs through the whole building that has names of people that are getting their braces off, and a hot drink machine. But I never have time to stay in the lobby very long because theyre always on time. When youre getting braces or any other appointment, there is a nice view through a big window with trees and a creek. Dr. Tom has movie nights with free popcorn and soda and other fun things. Dr. Toms office also has fun contests where you can earn some really awesome prizes.The people who work there are always in a good mood. Im always excited to go when its time for an appointment. My mom checked other prices before I got my braces, and Dr. Tom was actually less expensive then the other places she checked in town. Our family has been going to Dr. Toms for a long time--since Im the fourth one in the family to get braces--and I always remember his office as being really cool and super clean, so I was glad when it was finally my turn to get braces. Dr. Tom is awesome!! The moment you walk into the office, you are greeted by a friendly receptionist. As you wait (which is never long),you get to play the Playstation 3 in the comfy chairs! As the Dr. and staff work on your teeth, they are always friendly, careful, and gentle. They always make me feel at ease. The receptionist always gives us appointments that work for us. Dr. Tom always gives a great healthy snack at the end of your visit! He has fun trivia contests, and gives away prizes! Not to mention, the skating party he hosts for his patients, and their friends! :) He is always happy to see you and he is really fun to talk to!!! Im so happy Dr. Tom Atkinson is my Orthodontist!! The best thing I like about having my children go to Dr. Tom is that I feel that they are getting the absolute best orthodontic care at a resonable cost. It was very unprofessional. A lot of pain that was unnecessary! When I got my braces in the thing that keeps your mouth open was too big, that my lip was bleeding. He wanted to replace some brackets by no reason before I transferred to another Orthodontist (extra costs). Taking brackets off shouldnt hurt, but this was just cruel. A lot of pain and they even werent able to remove all of them. I am not even sure they used the right instrument. Some of the assistances were talking behind the back of the patients and they are very nosy. My husbands consultation at this practice was a joke. Since I have a new Orthodontist I know what a good treatment is! I would not go to this place again.

1st visit to Dr. Toms office. Staff was friendly and very helpful. They took Caroline back on time. Dr. Tom and his assistants took time to answer all questions we had.

We go to Dr. Tom for all 3 of my kids! My oldest enjoys the quick appts on the BraceMobile that goes to his school. The staff makes you feel welcome and they care for you with a smile. We will continue getting our orthodontic needs with Dr. Tom!

⚠️⚠️you guys i go to a different ortho and i came here with my friend and this ortho is so much cooler and the service is so much better they have a bunch of cool things and my ortho has nothing 100/10 would recommend going to big mouth ortho and if u have a family member that wants braces recommend it to them

I have had the best experience with Dr Tom. I thought that I was ridiculous getting braces at my age, but they have treated me like I was the most important person there. I would recommend them to anyone .

In 6th grade, Dr. Tom put braces on me because my teeth were extremely crooked. According to him, I was one of the most extreme cases he had seen as far as crooked teeth goes. Throughout my two years of having braces, Dr. Tom and his staff treated my parents and I very well. My office experiences were very pleasant and the day I got my braces off was an incredible day because that was the same day as yearbook day and I finally had a beautiful non-braces smile for the yearbook. I continue to love my smile to this day. Dr. Tom is an asset to the Greenville community and has expanded his practice from his old Pelham Road office beside the Hilton to his current location. :) Everyone who needs braces should try him out because he truly is the best and I truly felt like family when I was there!! :-)
