Dr. Viscardi performed cataract surgery on my left eye in 1994. He explained that as I get older, I may need cataract surgery again. He has always been kind, courteous and professional towards me, even as as teenager and as I got older. If I could, I would still go to him. I was so impressed with him that I referred my husband to him for LASIK and 22 years later, he’s still seeing just fine. I could not have asked for a better dr than Dr. Viscardi. I last saw him about 3 years ago and he was still the caring and compassionate man I have always been thankful to for helping to save my eye after a wreck. An eye I was told I could possibly lose, but he and his associate did all they could to save it. I will forever remember Dr. Viscardi and his care team. They are absolutely wonderful.

I had cataract surgery on each eye by Dr. Viscardi. Everything about the experience was efficient and professional. I was a little nervous about anything surgical dealing with eyes, but in all honesty, it was almost a spa experience....... with each procedure. I would totally recommend this physician.

I have recently had cataract surgery performed by Dr. Jeffrey J. Viscardi. While this review has nothing to do with surgical performance, it has everything to do with respect. Since the surgery is very recent, I am not yet able to comment on its success.I am able to comment on and describe the events following the surgery. On my following day checkup, Dr. Viscardi explained the medication procedure I was to follow. It was a very simple procedure that even included illustrations. After his explanation he showed me the illustrated instruction sheet and asked me to repeat the instructions. I pointed to the antibiotic first and paused as I tried to recall the proper name (Zymaxid). It was less than two seconds before he removed the instructions and proclaimed you are not getting this...I am going to find your husband. I was completely shocked. He then proceeded down the hall toward the waiting room calling my husbands name quite loudly. He then told my husband that I was not getting it and asked him where are your glasses? and how can you see without them? My husband does not wear glasses. It is quite evident that we are senior citizens, but we are not deaf, blind, or senile. In fact, I am a recently published author and I am the administrator of all medications, and always have been, in our household.I believe that this was an impatient and age discriminatory action on Dr. Viscardis part. Patients of all ages generally show respect for their healthcare choices and should receive respect in return.
