A good friend of mine’s sister, V, had a traumatic experience with Dr. Parker. While on the table, she started experiencing discomfort. V tried to tell Dr. Parker and was told she couldn’t speak or move, and continued the procedure until V literally could not stand it. This violation of consent is egregious enough, but Dr. Parker upped the ante when V woke up the following morning, bleeding from her eye. She called the on-call doctor at 4am. When V arrived for her appointment this morning, Dr. Parker reprimanded her for calling and waking him up.Words matter. Kindness still matters. Consent, no matter the situation, still matters. Dr. Parker showed none of these attributes in her dealings with V.If you want to spend thousands of dollars to be treated as a dollar sign, go for it. But Dr. Parker has violated her oath as a doctor and is not worthy of your trust or money. Proceed with the utmost caution.

Dont go to see Dr. Parker if you value your time. I have been a patient of hers for several years and have NEVER been seen by the staff or doctor at my appointment time. Recently went for an appointment at the new facility and waited 2 hours and still had not seen the doctor. Ive had it and will not go back. I have a life and my time is as important to me as any appointment.

This woman treated my mother so poorly! Yelled at her not to talk and basically told my mom her eye issues were her fault. Very condescending. Do not recommend.

Absolutely the most unprofessional doctor out there. I wouldn’t let her treat my enemy. She is rude and vindictive.

I have not used my real name due to my parent still see Dr Parker and other family members as well. After seeing her responses to others I know she will resort to taking it out on my family. I was recently in for an appointment at her new facility. Which has faults for sure. The number one thing is that patients can hear every thing she is saying to her techs near the waiting room. I heard her completely badmouthing a tech to other techs. That is one of the most unprofessional things I have ever heard and I have been a manager and that is a big NO NO to a normal person. I knew Dr Parker was blunt and had zero tact in talking to patients but I hoped she was nicer to her staff. I was so disgusted by what I heard that when the poor girl was who took me back I told her everything I heard. I told her that I would never work for that woman if I were her. Call me what you want but that girl needed to know. And I have been a patient of Dr Parker’s for many years and I know how the process goes of getting patients ready, she was very professional and was actually nice and personable. I thought she was a fantastic technician and complete opposite of what I heard Dr Parker said. She was thorough. I told her everything Dr Parker said once she completed my work up. I wanted to see how she conducted herself. I saw the tears in her eyes at what Dr Parker said. What struck me is she said nothing I didn’t know so she was used to that. I would give Dr Parker a 0 if I could because I was so offended by her behavior. I will not be back. She may be an excellent doctor and I had great results with LASIK, and hope I would have her treat my cataracts but there are other doctors that won’t be so offensive to my conscience. When Dr Parker reads this I hope she understands that her patients can hear her in that office and that’s not okay! I maybe should not have told her employee what she said but it was incorrect. I have heard her in the past embarrass an employee in front of patients but she was almost hateful this time. I hope my family leaves her practice as well. I’m probably sure I could get my parents to move. Good luck with patients and employees in the future. I hope all read this review to know she isn’t just mean to employees she will cut you off and say you don’t know what’s going on in your own body! Stay in your lane Dr Parker. I will leave you with this, take a review or HIPAA course to learn you break it constantly, learn some bed side manner, learn some tact in how you say things as it’s not what you say it’s how you say it, and that others are not beneath you! You’re not the only doctor in your field and you’re not a good person. I’ve had enough and will be seeing someone else from now on.

I think there’s insurance FRAUD here!Anne Parker’s office send me a post card to remind me to make a visit for my 2-year eye exam. After arriving to the office, I waited 15 minutes, the nurse called me in to do some basic check- up. She asked me if I had dry eyes, itchy eyes, vision loss, poor vision at night or any problems. I said no, everything is fine. No problems with my eyes. I’m just here for a check-up. She said in order to bill my insurance she will have to write a problem on the record in order to claim insurance payment. I said my health insurance allows me to do preventative check-ups. Why do we need to make something up? I told the nurse this would be a fraud if we do that. She said, we have to write something down. If you don’t have any eye problem, I will let Anne Parker know to find something. The nurse left the exam room. I literally sat there for a 45 mins before Anne Parker showed up. The nurse left a message on the computer for Anne Parker. She wrote, “patient said there’s fraud with her visit today”. I explained to Anne Parker that I’m here for a check-up with no problem. Why do we need to make up something or try to find something to put on my record? She said, “DO YOU WANT TO PAY OUT OF YOUR POCKET”? I felt like she was threating me. I shut up and let her do my check-up which only took less than 10 minutes. End result she said I have dry eyes which I know I don’t. That is what she wrote on my record. With this incident it clearly explains why health insurance goes higher and higher each year. BTW- due to covid she will see you with the exam door wide open. All patients next door will hear you talk and you can hear other patients talk about their problems. Enjoy!Due to the dishonesty I will not trust her or recommend anyone to this office.Response to Anne Parker:In my case, I have BCBS health insurance and your office knew it before I came in for the routine exam. In your finding you said I had dry eyes which meant nothing to me because you made it up. You billed my health insurance $174 which only had me read couple of letters on the wall. Swapped the lenses couple of times and didn’t even tell me if my vision changed from last visit. You mentioned that you performed autorefraction, manifest refraction and Atlas corneal topography and didn’t bill my insurance. Of course, you didn’t bill my insurance! None of those were performed on my eyes and most importantly I have no knowledge of which you did it. If you indeed performed those items you would have told me.As a result of this situation, I felt that my health insurance company should have knowledge what occurred at this office. After speaking with the fraud inspector, it was deemed that this visit should have been coded as routine exam not finding a medical condition from my eyes to justify a claim.

Dr. Parker and her staff are amazing. I have been seeing them for a few years now and I love that she not only cares about your vision but also about your overall health.

I would ignore low reviews. Dr. Parker is an excellent eye doctor/surgeon. She explained everything thoroughly and I wasnt rushed in any way. The staff is EXCELLENT...top notch really,, just like the doctor. I can see why some people would be put off by her...many of us get offended needlessly or too easily. Shes direct. Shes not there to make friendly chatter, shes there to take whatever care your eyes need. The tech guy was also impressive. Knew his stuff, including how to make me feel comfortable. I read the review by the smoker and got a chuckle because the first eye doctor I went to smelled like cigarettes too and it was GROSS. I left and made appt w/Dr. Parker and Im glad I did. Eyes are important and extremely delicate. I like that a decisive, confident doctor will be operating on them. Go if you value medical care over a friendly doctor.

Dr Parker was precise, thorough, and a consumate professional. She even provided additional information to assist me in controlling my diabetes which was very positive and encouraging. Her staff was kind and encouraging as well which reflects directly on the doctor. I would highly recommend Dr Parker and her clinic which hummed like a well tuned positive environment.

I started seeing Dr. Parker in 2000. She did my Lasik surgery. Since then she has done my annual checkup every year. I told my son to start seeing her, he did. My first impression of her as soon as she opened her mouth was that she is brilliant. I have not been to any doctor of any kind (save one) in my entire 62 years of life that hasnt had some type of personality quirk that reveals the pressure and time constraints on them. I was just there yesterday, and a lady was having a very long discussion at the checkout desk about charges she was obligated to pay. Dr. Parker personally comes out of whatever she is doing to talk to people like that, even if she has five people in examining rooms, to solve the situation. Ive seen this more than once. So I dont begrudge her for not getting to me right away. Shes not only a doctor, she runs the office. I appreciate her insight into what I should be doing for my health, I dont resent it. Shes in her 60s and looks like shes in her 30s, so no way am I going to argue with her advice. If I did have an issue with something she said, Id confront her right then and there, not on a Google review. Im guessing she doesnt see these and has no idea. I would not let any other doctor even look at my eyes. Dr. Parker is brilliant, technologically current, has a fabulous staff and office, and will work with you to the best of her ability. Im only one person, but I give her my highest rating.

I agree with the other reviewer. I was kept waiting nearly two hours after my appointment time and when Parker finally saw me, there was no apology or any sign of contrition.During the exam, the topic of dialysis came up and we talked about the kind of dialysis my father had received. His treatment was one I saw with my own eyes and I even helped to carry the supplies he needed into his apartment. She said there had never been such a treatment. In effect, she was asking who was I going to believe, her or my lying eyes! Without using the word, she called me a liar.Only an idiot would call her customer a liar to his face and I dont want an idiot anywhere near my eyes.By the way, she also said my primary care physician was falling down on the job but hes the best doctor Ive had in my life.

Stop right here and do not proceed with being seen by Dr. Anne Parker.I would give her a zero if I could. I just saw her today for the first time in my life. I was referred by my Gastroenterologist because she was concerned that I had inflammation in my eyes due to my Ulcerative Colitis. During this visit I was having terrible, nearly unbearable abdominal stabbing pain due to my UC. While having my eyes examined and drops placed in them Dr. Parker noticed that I was very uncomfortable and also tearing up (due to my abdominal pain). Once she was finished with the exam she ask was it because of my eyes. I explained to her (which was in my file) that I have UC and was experiencing severe pain at that moment. She asked the medication I was on and told me that a Dr she knows is on Embrel and it works wonders for him. UC is very complicated and what works for one does not necessarily work for another. So I explained what I am on and why I cannot just change to Embrel or anything else for that matter because there is a process due to not only what is needed with my GI but also insurance and how they regulate the treatment options you must start with. I told her that my Dr. wanted to start me on Entyivo but my insurance wont start with that and that I would of needed to be on a study which would pay for the treatment... the catch is I could not be breastfeeding to be on such treatment. THIS IS WHERE IT WENT DOWNHILL!! When I told her that I was still breastfeeding my 20 month old she said well you just need to stop that. I breastfeed my 3 boys: one was for 6 weeks, the other 2 were for 2 weeks and they are perfectly healthy. I said well they say to breastfeed for 2 years and she said they who?...in a rude tone. I couldnt even believe this!!! Shes an EYE DR and is giving me unwanted advise about breastfeeding!!! She also during the conversation brought up the acne on my face like I dont know it is there. I NEVER MENTIONED MY ACNE! SHE BROUGHT IT UP. She said that I could get benzyol peroxide and sleep with that on my face and it will dry it all up. Thank you Dr. Anne Parker, but you should read the side effects of Prednisone and see that it is medication induced acne that I currently am battling and I do not need any more of your expertise. I wont be back.

This was such a degrading and horrible experience I have ever encountered from a doctor of any nature please do not go here. The bad part is Dr. Parker is good at her sole job, the bad part is she will degrade, belittle, and has no responsibility of your time. It started with I am struggling to see after having the Lasik procedure done 11 years prior. I went for a check up and to voice my concerns about my near sighted issues I had. The other women in the office are wonderful, I cannot say enough about how kind and accomodating they truly are, however Dr. Anne Parker is a completely different personality all together. I was called back within 20 minutes of sitting in the waiting room and was given the numbing drops and my eyes dialated. After the tests were performed and vision test completed I was put into a room, blind as a bat with one spotlight over the chair and told Dr. Parker would be in shortly. After an hour of waiting I was on the phone with a friend that I spoke to that I finally told I think she forgot about me. As I said that to her and then called my mom to have a ride due to being blind at this point, she finally graced me with her presence. She sat and took a look at my file. As soon as the smoking question came up she began saying comments such as what a trashy habit, that is disgusting, etc. Then, explained to me being a 30 year old woman that I am a role model to my son and that I am doing a trashy habit. I finally had enough after a 10 minute speech from a woman I had met one time prior in my life and hadnt been very pleasant then as well, Do you tell obese people to stop eating? Everyone has flaws I just happen to have mine on your paperwork. She continued to preach to me for another 10 minutes which was wasting my time which had already been timed up due to her inability to meet patients in a more timely manner, I was then told in less than 2 minutes warm compresses at night, your eyes are dry, see you in 2 years. What a waste of my time, my energy, my opinions or thoughts. Come to find out after speaking to my grandpa about his cataracts, and a close family friend they both had similar horror stories about this woman. Apparently, if my vision has changed its a waste to return after the procedure is complete or get to the underlying issue of my vision difficulties because I already paid my 5 grand. I will never be returning to her, this was a joke and down right a moment that she needs to grasp the concept of compassion for others and the understanding no one in there right mind is perfect we all do our best. I hope this will clearly make a stance since apparently there are people that can guess her name now that I told my story before I even let them know who it is.
