Wow. My experience is and was wonderful. Dr. King, bless your heart, your were compassionate, understanding, and didn’t have to listen to everything I vented about but you did. I appreciate you for that. And the rest of the staff were nice, pleasant and very welcoming. Great practice!

I absolutely love Highlands.I actually switched to this practice during my third trimester and it has been such a wonderful experience.Dr. King is extremely wonderful. She’s very thorough and answers all of my questions. The receptionists are all pleasant. Everyone is always smiling. The medical assistants and techs are all equally kind. Everyone has a great attitude.

I cannot speak highly enough about Highlands in general and specifically Dr. Ruiz. She is truly one of a kind. The other doctors and nurses are wonderful as well. I have never had anything but a great experience through my pregnancy and beyond.

I have never received service like that before. I scheduled an appointment to be seen by a doctor and they took a sample to run test and I was told they would come back in two days. When I called after three days because I never received a call, I was told they never sent off the sample to the lab. There was never an apology issued for their lack of service and when I came into the office a second time having to miss work again, I was treated in a rude and unprofessional manner. They rushed me out the office because it was closing and told me they would call me in two days for my results. I never received a call and I had to call three times and finally got in touch with a nurse a day later at 11:54AM Friday. Their office closes at 12:00PM on Friday’s and she told me that she would call me back after speaking to a doctor. After 12:00PM their phone lines are off so you cannot call in. I NEVER spoke with anyone at the office after the one call at 11:54AM. I call their “on call” line where I was spoken too in a very rude manner and hung up on. A gentleman called my mother saying his nurse told me information which is false and told her that I should go to another doctors office. I find it very disrespectful, disheartening and unprofessional that this is the service I received.

This is the best place for female care! I recently tried the Emsella and ended up buying the complete package. This is my 3rd session and I already have noticed a huge difference in my muscles and I have not leaked in weeks! The doctors and staff are wonderful and helpful. Highly recommend.

Hands down the best!! I could not rant and rave more about how amazing the doctors and all of the staff are. They made my pregnancy during hard times the best experience it could ever be. I will hands down never go to another office for my care. I cant tell you how many offices Ive been to where the staff looks miserable and you barely get a word out of the doctor when youre speaking to them about your concerns. This place is so much more than just an office. The nurses actually care to answer your questions or concerns, the lab lady is a the nicest gal you could ever want sticking you in the arm. The girls at front are like your friends. Im telling you, If you are looking for an office that feels like home with staff that genuinely cares about your health and wellbeing, this is absolutely the place for you. You will not be disappointed!

I had my second child via planned c-section with Dr. Ruiz. I’ve also seen Dr. Smith. I would recommend them to everyone. It was such an amazing experience. I had some complications with my first pregnancy and labor, and I was a bit on edge for my second. They never made me feel like I was being too much, and they always took the time to talk to me. I never felt rushed, and my appointments were on time. (My last OBGYN I would sometimes be there for 2 hours, so I appreciated this.) The entire nursing staff and admins are all super nice and helpful. I honestly was sad it was all over! 🤣 I also had my baby right when all this quarantine/lock down started so we certainly had some unknown territory for all of us, and I still felt well cared for and supported.

Ive been to a lot of doctors in my time and these folks are by far the best. If I could use them as my primary care physician, I would. They take the time to talk to you, and make you feel card for and heard. Im so grateful for the patience and kindness Ive received by every single person every single time Ive been to this office. There are plenty of ob/gyns closer to my home, but its well worth the drive to come here. Thank you all so much foot doing such a wonderful job.

I absolutely love Highlands Center for Women. From the moment I walked in, the girls up front were so welcoming and nice. The waiting room is so stylish and beautiful you can really tell they want you to feel at home. I have seen Dr Ryan and Tracy Moister the PA and they both have been wonderful. I have been cared for like family and have been listened to which let’s me know they respect my concerns and deeply want to help me. I’m so glad I found this place. I highly recommend them.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Smith, and another doctor, since 2009. This was at the ‘old’ office. After delivering our second baby in 2013, I heard many were leaving the practice. We didn’t worry, because we thought we were done having babies. Well, turns out, we weren’t. I had no idea what I was going to do 9 months ago, until a friend had told me about the new Highlands Center for Women. Oh joy! I didn’t give it a second thought! I called and immediately got an appointment. My usual OB nurses were there too. That first appointment was like a mini reunion! My pregnancies are all high risk, and with my complications, I wouldn’t want to be with any other group! The office staff is great too!

Honestly by far the best office I have ever been to for any help gyno or otherwise. They are very open and a kind staff. I usually have Dr. Ryan and she is wonderful, but on the off chance I had another doctor after I missed my appointment with Dr. Ryan, the other doctors were wonderful as well. They are open and understanding and they helped me get scheduled before a long trip I am making. I have suggested Highlands to all of my friends and would suggest them for you as well.

Newest update: I never told you the end of the story. Here it is. A couple months ago, I got a certified mail from Dr. Ryan, Highland Center for Women that I was discharged. I never planned to go back for their fabulous service but I feel like you should know the ending and need to know what happens to you once you are not happy with what they provide you.Update: The separate office visit bill is dropped. I think they got a good office manage or whoever takes care of the online reviews.Additional: don’t talk about your concerns or problems during your preventive visit when Dr.Ryan asks you what questions you have. Because you won’t get any useful information but a separate office visit bill. Both my husband and I have called and haven’t got any response yet.I have been with them since 2015 before they merged with South Carolina Women Center, from which they separated in 2016. During my delivery, I was asked and stared at rudely by different staff if I was half-blind! I didn’t know how much it would influence my delivery and I ended up with a c-section! I requested my medical record when I left the hospital and it was written “half-blind”, which isn’t even a medical term, which the nurse CREATED AND PUT in my medical record. I asked different opinions from my doctor and nurses friends and was told it’s better to correct it right. I made an appointment this May and the front desk told me it’s just a piece of paper and they would give it to me during my visit. They asked me to sign on the medical release form because THEY need it! Then they told me they need to ask Dr. Ryan’s PERMISSION to print it out! And they couldn’t mail it to me because it costs postage! They said they would call me probably in a week and I had to go get it MYSELF! So far, I haven’t got any call from them and I still don’t know if I am still written half-blind by them! - I just got a call from the office manager during writing this review and was told she they would send out my records. —Thanks for reaching out, though I just want to write down what happened. With Dr. Ryan, she is always nice but I don’t really feel she gave me much help except those orders for lab tests or ultrasound.

I had a visit today & left crying. Zero bedside manner, I was spoken to as if I was an idiot & had no idea about my own body & pain. Then was shamed for needing to leave by 4:20, my appointment was at 3:10, should’ve been plenty of time! They were 25 min late getting me back to a room...I’ll be going back for an ultrasound Monday to see what’s going on since my exam today told me NOTHING! Then I’ll be finding a new office.

Ive seen both Dr. Ryan and Dr. Smith multiple times over the past 3 years and each of them has delivered one of my children. Theyve worked me in for check ups when I had concerns and they have been supportive and reassuring every step of the way. Their staff has always been kind and seem genuinely interested in my well being.

I have had nothing but excellent care from Dr. Ryan and her staff. She is very friendly and takes the time to sit down and talk to me before starting the exam. I never feel rushed or hurried by her, which I appreciate. She delivered my second child and I felt extremely confident in her care. It was a great experience. The office is very tastefully decorated- it doesn’t even feel like a doctor’s office. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Ryan- she’s awesome!

The office fees are over priced. I was waiting for two hours before I was seen. I asked for birth control and was told I had to make another appointment before I can get birth control. I didnt even have an actual exam or any test done but I was still charged over $100 and when I called the office about it I was told this is not a free clinic. I didnt get charged when I arrived nor when I left but months later there is a balance of over $100 for a 5 minute visit which consisted of one question asked and one opinion given. That opinion was to come back in a few weeks so we can charge you again. I feel very insulted and ripped off.

Highlands was recommended to me from a few coworkers for my pregnancy. When I first started going in February, I was not impressed. They were very disorganized and had long waits. I think they were still in a time of transition into a new office/practice. Many people spoke highly of Dr. Smith, but I was not too impressed with his patient care. He always seemed like my questions were dumb and was very short with me. I have recently been seeing Dr. Brodie, and I am very pleased with him. He always takes the time to answer any of my questions and make me feel comfortable. I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Brodie.

I was referred to this office by my regular gyn when I became pregnant. This office made mistakes with both billing and scheduling my entire pregnancy. I should have listened to my gut and found a new doctor. I stayed with them but needed surgery late in my pregnancy at the hospital. The doctor from this practice questioned the decisions the hospital had made, discussing it in my remaining appointments and while I was in actual labor. As someone else mentioned, Dr Brodie was great, but he has since left this practice. Again, I wish I had listened to my gut and switched earlier in my pregnancy. I am leaving this review because when I was trying to decide whether to stay with them, there were only 5 star reviews online which led me to talk myself into staying.

Dr Ryan was the worst OB I ever had and Ive seen a lot with having 3 children. She was on rotation at the hospital and would not give me pain medication prescribed by regular OB for the 1 cm kidney stone I passed the next day with no medication thanks to her. I was sent home from the hospital after 2 days throwing up and crying from the pain and with no medicine at all 7 months pregnant to pass a huge kidney stone alone. She also accused me of trying to get addicted to the pain medication that I had only been on 2 days and had never taken any other time in my life. She literally made me dread going back to the hospital for the other 6 kidney stones i passed while pregnant and Dr Keith had to convince me to stay the next time. She was the most cold hearted doctor I have ever met and she was pregnant herself at the time. I would not recommend her to anyone at all.

I am in my 50s and moved a lot. I have had many Gyns throughout my years. Dr Kofoed has to be in my top 2. Very thorough. Took her time. I felt comfortable. She asked about everything going on, not just issues that pertained to her field. I wish she was an FP. I would actually go to to the doctor!
