Really nice place with nice people. The three stars are just a heads up for everyone on a schedule. Making an appointment doesn’t matter. Both times I made appointments I still waited over an hour. This won’t be a problem if you don’t have anything to do that day, but if you work like myself be wary of time and ready to spend 2 + hours

They want and need blood, so they do a blood drive. They have seven chairs available for this drive. My husband has been waiting for almost an hour. Be more prepared. This is ridiculous.

My wife donates regularly at this location. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and facility. Very clean and professional setting

I can’t attest to the clinic, but have always enjoyed donating at the mobile sites. Fast, friendly, efficient. All phlebotomists have been great but Josh and Gracie were exceptional - quick, kind, and thorough! Thanks for making it convenient!

Clean donation center where the donation chairs face a beautiful garden. Ive donated here for a couple years and have only had positive experiences.

Awesome place to donate whole blood ,platelets , plasma and red blood cells.The staff is always looking out for you to make sure all is going good and that you are comfortable. You need something like soda, Cookies or popcorn while you are donating the staff is right there to meet all your needs . I try to donate every Sunday morning wether it is platelets or Plasma. Would recommend the The Blood Connection to all. Rich L.

I was fortunate and met with a very knowledgeable young lady named Taylor, who was a tremendous help. The facility seems good but Taylor got them the 5 stars !

Quick check in. Appointment time was on time. I prefer the Woodruff Rd. location to the Mobile Buses. Much more space ( social distancing).

Im a regular donor, and have always been happy with the staff. Today was very busy, so I will assume the rude behavior was because of that. I was friendly when I sat at Kaylas desk for the preliminary tests. No response. She then put the blood pressure monitor on my arm, pressed start, THEN grabbed my hand and jammed the needle in. Obviously my blood pressure went way up at that point. She then instructed me to go get on a bed. I prayed she would not be the one to take my blood. Thankfully, she was not. At this point, the staff could not have been nicer. These are rough times, and working very closely with the public in my job, I realize we all have bad days, but would never think to take it out on a customer.

Very poor customer service. I wanted to donate but I was told that I have not lived in the country for 5 years in a row. I have lived here since 1996 but I have taken vacations overseas. Apparently, if you take a vacation within 5 years you cant donate, because that makes you not being in the country for 5 consecutive years...(?) That does not make sense and I had never heard that before. The places that I have been when out of the country, are not high risk places but they did not check. I also explained that I lived in Minnesota and Florida before I moved to South Carolina, and she had to google where Minnesota was to see if it was a high risk country. I believe the staff helping me were uninformed and made a decision without verifying. I have had no issues in the past donating at the Red Cross.

After many times donating via the blood mobile, finally made it here to donate due to my availability. The entire experience could not have gone better! Everyone here is super kind and welcoming and the facility is very clean and organized. If you are on the fence about donating, give this location a try and see how effortless the gift of life is. Its so important especially during covid times with many people no longer donating. Thanks TBC for being a strong force for our community :)

Friendly environment, and painless procedure to help others.

This blood donation was via their mobile truck. This was my first donation to Blood Connection so I wasnt sure what to expect. To say say I was disappointed is an understatement. Thanks he appointment was for 3 pm. I showed up 5 mins early and still had to wait. I was brought into the bus 30 mins later, filled out some more paperwork and then was give a chair to sit down to give blood. I was visited a couple of times by the person who does the stocking (I guess she was the only one and could only see one donor at a time). 35 mins later she finally starts the process to draw the blood. She has trouble finding a vein/artery (she is the first tech to have an issue), finally completes the stick but in the end misses the vein. She still attempts to draw the blood but gives up after 15 mins. I leave an 1 1/2 hours after I arrive feeling disappointed knowing that hospitals need blood and they were unable to accomplish the task. I’m done with Blood Connection. Back to American Red Cross.

Donated blood to mobile unit at Verdae today, was interested in the free antibody testing. Intake personnel was very pleasant, made me feel totally comfortable. Personnel taking blood was more interested in discussing a playlist then taking the medical procedure seriously, zipped through post-procedure instructions, wrapped arm up, walked away, was only offered drink or snack as I was exiting the RV, had just left the gym, and was already battling dehydration. I’ll never donate there again.

Very clean and open place. Extremely friendly staff and always very thankful for donations. I look forward to going each time.

This location is very comfortable and clean. Ive done whole blood and platelets here. Having a fear of needles is something they are good with. I like getting warm blankets and watching Netflix while saving lives. The points are awesome too. I cash mine in for Amazon gift cards and do Christmas shopping at the end of the year. I always recommend this place to everyone I know.

I am a 23-year old male who has given blood ~10 times, all of which were in a blood mobile. My first time here, I was blown away by the friendliness of the greeter, the accommodation by the staff, and the cleanness and design of the facility. I went here again for the second time today with my girlfriend (her first time giving blood) and I had another 5-star experience. My girlfriend was taken such good care of and her first time went great. She says shell definitely be giving again! Awesome place!

Everyone that I had the pleasure of interacting with on June 19, 2020, at The Blood Connection was fantastic. Sadly, I dont recall everyones name. The lady who greeted me at the door was friendly and welcoming. Michael, who performed my mini-physical, was personable and professional. The phlebotomist introduced herself; shamefully, I dont remember her name; she was adept in accessing my left arm vein; this didnt even pinch (I watched). I have missed donating. I took a high-stress career in mid-2015 and since had thought that I couldnt find the time. However, as an O- the universal donor of whole blood and red cells, I realize that its essential to take the time to donate and save lives. IMPORTANT TIME-SAVING TIP: Register at TheBloodConnection.org to complete your questionnaire the day that you plan to donate blood and print your pass, present the pass upon arrival with your ID. Remember, you must complete your questionnaire and print the pass the same day of your blood donation. I.e., If for some reason, you dont make it in to donate the day you that you completed the questionnaire, and printed the pass. You must complete the questionnaire again and print the new donor pass for the date that you do go to donate.

I love the people at the blood connection, and can honestly say it is the only place I enjoy shedding my blood. :-)

Let me say, if youve had a bad experience with TBC, stop going! You are bad blood. As for the calls, they are needing your help. Sometimes technology doesnt always catch up to your expectations. Ive given a couple of gallons and as a RN with over 20 years of experience, I know the need is critical to saving a life! So, if you ever need any blood to save yourself or a loved one. Remember, this is the service you will cherish! Ive never had a bad experience, and I love that they remind me that its time to donate. ❤️

Great staff. I am NOT a fan of needles, but the staff did so well I really didnt feel the needle at all.

How do I get you guys to get me off of your calling list. You dont answer the phone and their is no opt out on your phone messages. You are calling a business not a residence.

Ive been a regular donor for years. Almost always a good experience at the donation vans but not so much at Woodruff Road. Im not too sure about making appointments online either. The last time I made an appointment online they said that something went wrong with their reservation system and we were all asked to stand in line behind those without appointments.

They turned me because they dont know how to finger stick it was 12.4 because she didnt get a enough blood for the testWaste of an hour

One bad egg will spoil it. All other visits have been great , until a staff member acted like i was the least of her issues. I thought i was the one giving blood and you were supposed to be there to help me. Guess not , will never go back.
