I used the online option to request an appointment and never received a call back. So I called up, was put on hold for almost 10 minutes, and after setting-up an appointment, I was ultimately denied being seen because Im a self-pay patient. I was given a number to call where self-pay patients can be seen that sometimes the vascular health alliance doctors go to... like its some third world country they venture to in order to help lowly peons like myself. Oddly enough, the number I was given was for the Orthopedic Surgeon... a lot of help thats going be for my vascular problem.This is all after my failed attempt to get my problem resolved by the VA and my willingness to pay out of pocket for some medical relief. So I go from third rate VA care to what I assume is third rate GHS care. Im glad GHS is doing well enough to turn away patients who want to pay for their own care.This is what healthcare has been reduced to. This is the healthcare your middle-class veterans are subject to.

GHS owned soooo... the specialist doctor visit with no testing, labs or procedure will get submitted as 2 copays - one for the doctor and one for the facility.. problem with healthcare these days - start with cost of care and billing practices!!
