This place is ok, my dr is ok, but I’m extremely annoyed and disappointed with my fiancé not being allowed to come and see our baby. This is our first child and he wants to be involved. There should be a way that fathers can come and see the ultrasounds and come into the regular on appointment so they can ask questions. Maybe via proof of a covid test? Or on FaceTime? Just find it insane that The father of the child is excluded from everything.

My first time experience was decent! It was my first prenatal visit at the office. The only reason why I’m going to this place is because I need some prenatal care. I don’t see myself being here that long. The staff was nice so far. The nurse was cool. There’s nothing really bad to say about this place. Unfortunately, I wish my fiancé can experience this with me since it’s our first child but the only thing I hate is no visitors for ultrasounds. We’ll see how it goes….

I was denied a support person during an ultrasound after I was told I could bring one. I received no notice of policy changes prior to my appointment. I also had a provider tell me my medical decision didn’t make sense to her.

I gave birth at vidant due to being transferred there and had an amazing experience. So I came back to ECU women’s for my second pregnancy and this OBGYN has not taken me seriously at all. VERY unprofessional. And when I requested my records be transferred elsewhere, (no one has given me information on policy’s regarding this matter) I called medical records to see if there was any update and I have never spoke to someone more rude. This is my first time leaving a review anywhere. It’s been TERRIBLE.

I really dont understand all of these negative reviews.... I love this office everytime Ive gone every doctor has been straight to the point and they get me in and get out. (unrushed) I personally dont care if I have to see a different doctor each time, even though I was given the option, the latter ust fit my schedule easier. But Ive never had to wait for an extended period of time, never had any staff be rude, and have overall never had a bad experience at this office.Just make sure you keep your bills paid and be on time to your appointments and Im sure youll have no trouble.

I honestly cant understand these extreme cases of negativity towards this place. Ive never had a truly bad experience and when I didnt like a particular doc I said so and didnt have to deal with them again. Issues during labor arent the faultnof the clinic but that of the hospital. Honest my favorite docs are here

You know your own body better than anyone else. Nobody will care about you the way you will care about you. Nobody will care about your peace of mind the way that you will. You better do what you can for yourself no matter who nerves you get on. If you feel something is wrong keep pressing the issue until they listen. Because to these people you are just another number.

When I was last admitted the doctor refused to monitor or provide necessary care for my full term unborn baby. I was refused pain medicine and an epidural. I was not permitted to move at all or empty my bladder during labor. Iwas not informed of what was going on or what medications were being given on night shift. However I noticed that my Pitocin was set to 5 times the maximum dose while in labor with live twins. Then I was caused to suffer a heart attack by incorrect IV treatment. I was refused transfer to ICU simply because I had 1 healthy baby. The doctors deliberately lied to me about my medical condition. When I was discharged, 2 days later I was forced to walk all the way to the exit even though there were plenty of wheelchairs available.

This place is VERY unprofessional, I set an appointment and confirmed it on the phone with the receptionist only to be told the day before my appointment that I did not set this particular appointment for this particular day but the day before which I know I did not so I went on ahead and rescheduled my appointment over the phone with the next receptionist and confirmed it before I got off the phone only to look online to see that she did the EXACT same thing the previous receptionist did and gave me an appointment i can not keep. So I call back about this a 3rd time and the 3rd rep tells me the 2nd rep called to inform me that she scheduled me for a different date which is a lie, I never received a call or have any voicemails from Stephanie. With receptionist like these 2 I don’t want to have any dealings with this office. Morgan and Stephanie have to do better.

This facility is VERY unprofessional, the doctors are extremely rude and disrespectful the way they speak to their patients. Margaret Cairns Reither and Monica Horne need better bedside manners when addressing their patients with certain important information! Also the doctors tell their patients what presedure they will have done for the following visit and it doesnt get followed through when the patient come in for their next appointment because it wasnt written down in their charts. Thats very annoying and unprofessional especially when a patient is prepared for that presedure and is expecting it to be done! This facility really needs to do better!

My girlfriend still hasnt even gotten to be seen by any of the doctors there because the reciptionest are awful. They set up the wrong appointment for her (they wrong procedures to be done) although having her records and her telling them what was needed. They then proceeded to call her less than an hour before her appointment to tell her we had you scheduled for the wrong thing, we need to cancel this appointment and rechedule. After they made the mistake and she and I had already worked out our busy schedules to arrange this appointment. AN APPOINTMENT THAT THE ER HAD HER SET UP TO ALSO FOLLOW UP ON AN EMERGENCY SITUATION they told her the soonest they had to have her reschedule was another 3 week away. AFTER THEY HAD ALREADY MADE HER WAIT 2 weeks for this appointment after her emergency visit. Awful and inconsiderate people.

I recently just moved to Greenville, from Florida and was looking for a new OBGYN and looking to create a relationship with a doctors office. When I first called to make the initial appointment they could not schedule me any sooner and I had to make an appointment two months out...so I had to make a tentative appointment as it is very hard to know your schedule for a day two months away. Then I was abruptly told that as a new patient for any reason you do not make the appointment this doctors office would not reschedule with you. Loosing any opportunity to re make your appointment. They did call me and remind me about my appointment date..and I called back to reschedule I had spoken with a girl named Kayla. When I asked her if I could reschedule she then told me that new patients were only allowed one reschedule otherwise they would not be welcomed at the office. After being extremely turned off by the lack of customer service I decided to find another doctors office. But what really upset me was how Kayla handled it. She actually hung up on me. It is the year 2018 and it is a shame a doctors office treats its new patients like this. I plan on finding another office to go to, and will tell everyone how my experience here was.

I went to this facility in the past and had a great experience the ultra sound tech is the main reason we came back. I returned for baby #2 and my experience with the other ultra sound tech was horrible, I didn’t get her name but she was taller and had dark hair. She wouldn’t explain anything, she ignored my questions, and she was extremely rude. I felt like I was an inconvience to her. It was a horrible experience. It’s so sad that someone doesn’t mind ruining such a special moment you can never get back. She even bragged about how she doesn’t like to give her patience the “extra sprinkles” and kindness that most techs do.

I was referred here in November for some ovarian cyst. First appointment was with a female doctor who acted like it wasnt a big deal at all. She decided to follow up with an ultrasound in December and I decided to go with a different female doctor there for that appointment. I have no insurance so I applied for patient assistance after that first appointment. In December I had the ultrasound, spoke with the new doctor (which I loved) and that was it for me, no more follow ups. I got a bill the end of December, called and got it taken care of (I didnt owe), the lady said my balance was $0. March 15th im getting a $425 bill for a male doctor that I havent seen? Called and the girl said, well he reviewd the ultrasound. Stuff wasnt making sense so I was transferred: New lady said, ultrasound wasnt covered under the patient assistance program. Was also told it wasnt medically necessary. But the Doctor ordered? Also told the Doctor in November that I could get another ultrasound in Kinston at my doctors office for $50, and have the information faxed over and she refused. So now your doctors office is short $425!

I have gone to this office for years and finally switched to somewhere that could get me in for sooner appointments and didnt have me waiting so long for the doctor. I needed a more invasive treatment that my new doctor doesnt do. So I was referred back to ECU Womens Physicians. Today, June 7th, 2018, I had a 9am appointment and showed up at 845am. I checked in, signed two forms, and was called back a few minutes before 9am. Peed in the cup, blood pressure got taken, and the nurse was great. I ended up in the room where my procedure was to take place and I waited, and waited, and waited. The nurse came in once to tell me the doctor was coming but there was no signs of me being actually seen today. I sat in that room until about 1015am when I decided Id had enough and figured I was forgotten about. I walked out and told the front desk ladies Im leaving because Ive been waiting almost an hour and a half and not one person checked on the situation or seemed to even remotely care that some people have to take off work to make these appointments and they just said ok and asked if I wanted to reschedule. It seemed like they were happy about having one less person to work on so they could get caught up. I tried to call every place in Greenville and no one could get me in anytime soon so I reluctantly have to continue to deal with place until this procedure gets done. The only reason this place even has one star is because the nurse was great and the lady I spoke to after I left, Stephanie, tried her hardest to find me another appointment as soon as possible even though I was upset. If you go to this place you WILL wait and it could be hours.

I would honestly give this place zero stars. The staff is not friendly at all when you walk in the door, and you will be here a minimum of 3 hours a visit. I actually waited 4 and a half hours for one appointment and had to leave without an ultrasound. Worst doctors office if you ask me.

If I could put a negative star here I would!! I’m currently pregnant and getting seen at this doctors office and this is my first pregnancy. And everyone I have meet has been nice to me but the midwife explained to me that I’ll never meet my doctor until the day of delivery and that I’ll meet two other midwives. Your a number to these people. As a first time mom I want to have a relationship with a nurse and the doctor who is going to be delivering my baby instead I am told that no one who is providing care for me now will assist me during the whole duration of this pregnancy or the delivery they will just send me off to Viadent and expect their staff to care for me. Unfortunately I can’t buy my own health insurance but that doesn’t mean that I shouldn’t have a relationship with the nurse or doctor who will be doing the delivery. We should all be treated the same and every time I go to my appointments I see someone different it’s never the same person and it’s very upsetting and disappointing. Because no one else in Greenville NC will take me after I have my baby I will never go here ever again!!!!

After a rather humiliating and disrespectful prenatal visit with midwife Monica Newby on 3/31 Ive not only decided to leave the practice but my husband and I are leaving NC and heading back north. Ms. Newby not only insisted that I receive another Syphilis and HIV test but she threatened me with NC Public Health Law and said there could be issues if I didnt consent. I asked her what the reason was for a repeat of these tests to which she stated, In my some odd years of practicing Ive had many women sit here and assume that something wasnt going on and then test positive for these diseases. She then goes on to state that she wasnt singling me out for any particular reason. My husband and I sat there dumbfounded and he was visibly offended. I reluctantly complied to the blood test because the last thing I need is for her to report me for not doing whats best for my baby. To make matters worse she calls us back into the room after the lab work and mentions my weight gain. She asked if I was currently seeing a Nutritionist to which I said yes I am and that I have things under control (normal BP at every appointment, normal BG ranges, tons of energy, no swelling and I eat healthy). She then asked if I drink sugary beverages to which i answered no, because I dont drink sugary beverages. She then further pushes the issue and asked No kool-aid, sweet teas etc.? to which at that point I give her a stern no and begin to leave the room. Her comments were disrespectful, discriminatory and rude. My doula (who is a married, white, mother of four) is thoroughly embarrassed that she recommended this midwife to me. She apologized repeatedly and admits that her other white patients and moms are NOT being treated this way by Monica Newby. She (along with other moms) also confirmed that they were NOT threatened into receiving repeated STD testing and that their midwives would never ask them if they drink kool-aid. Shameful. Upon doing light research I read that NC Public Health Law states that a patient should be OFFERED these STD tests during their first and third trimesters. Nowhere does it state that they are mandatory and that the patient faces consequences for not consenting to them. Humiliating. Furthermore, I told her I was concerned with my babys growth after midwife Debra Hanson said she was measuring small. I called the office prior to my appointment to have one scheduled with my visit but was told to ask Ms. Newby. Instead of receiving one she scheduled me for a return ultrasound in 2 weeks with another provider. Extremely disappointed in the care I received and I will submitting a formal complaint.
