Our facility spent 3 days preparing for a guests discharge home and had to use Apria due to insurance. On the day of discharge, our nurses began calling at 7am to verify all was in place and ready for the guest.After 10 phone calls, all routed to a call center in the Philippines, there was still no resolution to obtaining the guests equipment. At 9:30pm, I had spoken to 6 different customer service representatives and 3 supervisors.The company had copies of the guests demographics, insurance information, the signed prescription, and written order from the physician, yet the company continued to argue and delay care to the patient.At 9:30pm it was decided that the guest could not discharge home due to not being able to obtain the equipment needed from this company.Terrible customer service, especially for a health care provider. My heart goes out to the guests and families who have to deal with this.Shame on you, Apria.
