First and foremost Id like to address my concerns with the patients that left a poor review for Dr. Torres. He is an internal medicine doctor. You cant expect him to diagnose you over the phone.. Ive been on disability for 10 years. Ive seen so many doctors because of this. Once I found Dr. Torres and my first initial appointment I was immediately, completely and finally content knowing I found a compassionate, understanding, knowledgeable, professional, and excellent physician to provide for me. I have seen him on a number of occasions and he had always been truthful and honest and spent the time and listened to me and treat me with my plan of care. He has gone out of his way to treat me as a person. Not just a patient. If I needed bloodwork, hed order it. If I needed PT he would order it, if I needed x-rays or an mri he would order it. You get my point. He is a physician and completely competent and committed to his patients. Im sorry for those who feel otherwise. I have been a patient of his for more than 5 years. Never once did I feel I wasnt treated properly in any way or manner. The office staff is always willing to go the extra mile and respond to my messages on my chart within 24 hrs and they dont have to. All of the staff is kind and understanding. I have had so many interactions with the staff even when I had no appointment. Id just stop in and they would address my needs and concerns. Top of the line physician here. I recommend him #1.

Our family has been coming to PFP for nearly 20 yrs.Dr Torres is an amazing hero of a doctor. Very empathetic & understanding.All Doc offices need A TONI, another HERO that puts patients first always. She is never not smiling.We R very lucky & blessed to have them all to depend on.

Dr Torres is the BEST Dr I’ve ever known. He addresses every concern with the best possible outcome. I’m lucky and blessed to have found him. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment with him!

Dr Torres is the worst doctor I’ve ever experienced. We called after hours and he was on call. He belittled and demeaned my wife. She needed help in knowing what to do regarding my covid symptoms. Dr Torres never asked any questions but instead stated “ how should I know what to do” it was our expectations that the doctor would walk through the situation and help provide options for next steps. Instead he told my wife to take me in to the ER if I was gray and my oxygen saturation level was 70! This man is not compassionate and his advice is dangerous

Steve is extremely knowledgeable and holistic in his approach to Medicine. Really cares about his patients and great bedside manner. Have my entire family seeing him because we completely trust his medical opinions and standard of care. Also, great staff, especially Toni, RN!

Dr Torres is amazing Doctor! He goes up above for his patients. He is the best Family Doctor I have ever been to.Thank you Dr Torres for all the help you give your patience .

Dr. Torres helped me, when no one else would. He took me as his patient after my previous Dr told me that he couldn’t do anything else for me, and I would have to live with the pain.The staff works hard, and will get you a same day appointment, if needed.There shouldn’t be any bad reviews for Poinsett family practice. They WILL take care of you.

When I first went here I really liked Dr. Torres, he was nice and listened. However, about 4 months after I had my baby I went for a routine check up and spoke to him about post partum depression and how I was very unhappy and crying often. Dr. Torres said, “it’s ok it will just go away.” Two months after that visit my depression was really bad, it had gotten a lot worse and not any better. I was finally able to get in with a different practice that took my concerns seriously and start on medication. I feel like depression shouldn’t be brushed off especially when someone is actively asking for help.

I love this place! Dr Newman and his staff are very friendly and professional. They really care about their patients. I would give 10 stars

This practice does NOT care about new patients, I called to get an appointment scheduled and they said they would call me back , I didnt hear anything the next day so I called again and they assured me they would call me back . Well here it is about a week later and I STILL havent heard anything. What could be so difficult about scheduling an appointment? If they show this complete lack of care for their new patients I cant imagine the lack of care they would have for my health!

Just don,t go there front desk don,t give a crap, Dr. not much . Just looking for your money. I tried them for over year . Went an got real Dr. Maby this will save your time & money LOL.
