I am a huge fan of this practice. I have been in glasses since I was 7 and been to many different practices. This has been by far my best experience. From the first phone call to each eye exam and problem solving visit, I cannot say enough good things about this group’s overall customer service and expertise.

Moved to the area from Miami about 5 months ago, so this is my first eye appointment here in SC. I honestly couldn’t be happier with my experience at this location. The entire staff was helpful, friendly, informative, and professional! I will definitely be a repeat patient! 🙂

We are an orthodontic practice in N. Greenville and today a one of our patients inadvertently received a splash into one of her eyes when we were rinsing her tooth - something that can happen even while using safety glasses. This moisture contained one of the chemicals commonly used in dentistry but can be quite irritating to ones eye. While she was using our Eye Rinse station we were on the phone to an eye specialist to see her immediately for evaluation and any treatment. We had to call three offices before I could locate someone who would see her quickly. Dr. Nighs office was wonderfully professional with their handling of this situation and made arrangements to see her as soon as she could get to their office. No other office would commit to seeing my patient (who was distressed) until sometime in the afternoon. Dr. Nighs staff spoke immediately w/him to ask how to handle this, and then within seconds were back on the phone assuring us that he would see this patient immediately. He doesnt even know we are aware of this but we also found out (because we asked) that he had to delay or alter his lunch plans to accommodate our patient. I am just so impressed with Dr. Nighs commitment to taking care of his patients and so gracious in seeing someone in need - this just speaks volumes to his professionalism and standards. The next time I need eye care, I would consider no one else!

Dr. Nigh was great to deal with, had some issues with contact lens order and an office staff didnt help. Dr. Nigh took over the issue and rectified it immediately.

I had a wonderful first visit with Dr. Nigh. Everyone was friendly, accommodating and on top of it! Between check in and waiting in the room for the doc, it was about 5 minutes total. They have advanced technology that isn’t invasive, so my eyes were not dilated and left feeling sensitive and irritated. In the 30 years I’ve been going to an eye doctor, I can honestly say this was the most informative and productive appointment I’ve had. I have found the practice that I will continue to go to for many years to come! Thank you Nigh Eye Group. You all are wonderful!

Not sure about the service regarding the medical staff but, the blonde receptionist was a little patronizing and dismissive. All I wanted was a contact lense intro lesson; even if its not something that can be done on a walk in basis, she couldve given a little more explanation and less attitude.Example: Im sorry but we would need to schedule an appointment for that and there would likely be a fee. or Legally the originating medical office would need to perform the lesson. -Simple as that...Could be my perception but, my instincts are usually correct.

Booked an appt online and showed up on time. Waiting in lobby for over 10 minutes with no attention given. Got up and left they called and said that the printer was down and that was the reason for the delay. The printer isnt going anywhere and doesnt value time like a patient in the lobby. Address the patient waiting in the lobby first fix printer second.

I went here on a Saturday. It was busy. They were running behind. The Dr. Nigh was very thorough and showed me something about my eye that others have not. He was very personable. I also like the fact that they give you a copy of prescription (glasses & contacts) without having to ask and come back several times to get it. Good experience and I would recommend but if you go on the weekend be prepared to wait.

Nice people and fast in site service. But I had to order special contacts and was told 1 week, MAYBE 2 before they came in. Now at 4 weeks and no calls, no updates nothing. Got my money and that was the end of service apparently.Id be happy to change the rating a little once I receive what I paid for, but weeks with no calls back or updates is just bad service.Update 8/21/20Left a few more messages and still no refund or contact lenses, called again today and left yet another message for them. So we are now around 6 months with no service. Dropping rating to 1 star from 2 for ignoring the issue. Ill never come here again, Id rather use another eye doctor that keeps their word to their customers.

I have been here several times on varying occasions and Dr. David Nigh has always done right by me. Ive even went in for a broken piece of contact I wasnt able to get out of my eye for 12 hours and he jumped right on it and got it out. I definitely havent been the easiest patient as we have been trying several trials of different contacts that will be right for me, but Ive never heard him sigh or even seem frustrated with me. The people at Nigh are very professional and care about taking care of your eyes. Couldnt recommend enough

Wonderful place! My 7 year old son was having issues at school reading the board, and we were perplexed as he was passing vision tests. Dr did a beat little test with some string and ball and found some answers for us regarding focus. I was amazed. Wonderful place!

As a new patient I was overwhelmed with the family feel and technology of Dr. Nigh’s office. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Steven was great and made me feel comfortable while answering all my questions. I highly recommend them to anyone, and my husband will be changing his Eye doctor to Dr. Nigh!

Roxy was very helpful and got me a case and solution when I had not thought to bring mine when getting new glasses at Visionworks next door. It was a big help and she was very kind. Great customer service!

So glad this office has Saturday hours and accepts walk in appointments. We didnt have a long wait and the service of the staff was outstanding. Everyone was very nice and knowledgeable. The Dr. was great at communicating what he was doing, asking questions, and providing instructions for home care. We will definitely be backfor routine visits after this experience!

This was my first time at Nigh Eye Group and I was VERY IMPRESSED AND WOULD RECOMMEND NIGH EYE GROUP to friends and family and I will return each year for my eye exam and any other eye problems that might come along. Hahahaha walk-in welcome really not. There website says walk-ins welcome but when you drive out of your way to get there they then decide to tell you that they cant take walk-ins. At least add on the website that it depends on business. Dont waist your Saturday coming out here. Ill definitely be spending my money elsewhere

Ive had some less than stellar encounters with eye doctors in the past but Dr Ashley Smith and the team were outstanding! I had specific concerns to which they listened attentively and then acted on. Highly recommended!

My family and I recently went for an eye exam here plus purchasing glasses and the entire experience was absolutely funny, easy, and professional. Dr. Nigh was beyond hilarious while making it easy to understand what we were going through and what our eyes were doing and how he was going to correct them. Kevin helped us look for our glasses and he explained all the coatings and cool nifty things we could do with them and we had merry conversation. I would definitely recommend anyone coming here, especially if you have children because the staff is very experienced with people and their emotions as well as accommodating. Im a scaredy-cat and some of the exams i would not have been able to do with full knowledge and they knew exactly when to say something and when not to to get things done. Professional, absolutely. I will be recommending them to all my family members and will definitely go back for my eyeglass needs.Thank you, Nigh Eye Group!

I have been seeing Dr. Steven Nigh for a couple years now. I switched to contacts last year, and had a little trouble adjusting to them. He is very patient, thorough and genuinely wants to take the time to make sure you are happy with your vision. He could simply renew my prescription and see me in a year, but he wants to make whatever small changes might be necessary for me to see my very best. His front office staff is great, and they took the time to explain my copay and the different billing scenarios. Great office!

I have had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Nigh and all of the staff here. They worked with me and made scheduling and filing with insurance very convenient and the doctor was extremely thorough in making sure I got the right contact lenses. I will always come back here.

I was having trouble with my eye that was making me really nervous, but they were booked for the next 5 days. I called the office and they encouraged me to come as a walk-in and they made a note about my concerns. I was bracing for a multi-hour wait time but dont think I waited five minutes before they were able to start helping me. The whole staff was very professional, very confident, and I could tell I was in good hands. Will definitely be using and recommending them from now on!

INCREDIBLE! In the 9 years that I have been wearing glasses and getting annual exams, I have NEVER had a better experience. The staff at Nigh Eye Group was knowledgeable and friendly both over the phone and in person. They, along with Doctor David Nigh, not only listened to my concerns (a lost art in today’s medical field in my opinion), but also performed the most comprehensive eye exam I have ever received. Dr. Nigh walked me through every step, explaining each test’s and instrument’s purpose, helping me understand my eyes better and also become a more educated patient. More importantly, Dr. David Nigh helped me finally close a chapter of confusion and discomfort due to an incorrect prescription I had received 3 months ago from another optometrist. I had a routine exam with David last week and it was one of the least routine exams Ive had. David comes in with energy and a passion for his job, and is extremely knowledgeable. He walked through the standard tests but explained the how and why behind each one - a highly underrated trait if you ask me. He even gave me recommendations to explore Greenville since Im new here. We went with this geoug because our insurance covered them and were very happily surprised! The staff was all smiles and politeness. They were all VERY accommodating for our 9mo baby. Stopped in last week for a full eye exam as a new patient here. I have a terrible phobia of getting my eyes checked because of previous poor experiences at other places. Dr. Nigh and the rest of his staff were so patient and really helped me to relax throughout the whole process. This was such an amazing experience, everyone there was so helpful and knowledgeable and were able to answer all my questions. I especially appreciated that even after the exam when I got my results I wasnt pressured to buy any glasses or contacts like I have been in the past. I have been going to Dr. Stephen Nigh since I was about 10. Now I take my kids to see him and also Dr. David Nigh. They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.- Two of my children wear contacts that are designed to reshape the eye. Not only are they able to go without glasses or contacts during the day but it has ALSO slowed the increasing prescription to almost no change. If you have a child that needs a stronger prescription every year, then you understand. When the prescription change is a small adjustment happening about every three years... it’s a big deal.- Another one of my children was really struggling with reading. So much so, that the school requested to test for areas of struggle. There was none found but it was frustrating for all of us. The teachers didn’t understand why her grades were so poor and I didn’t understand why a real love for school seemed to vaporize when it came to reading.I had noticed my little one could read one page (including challenging new words) just fine. On page two, would read every other word. On page three, would look at the picture and make up the story without even trying to read. Dr. Nigh was able to determine her eyes were over focusing and causing discomfort. This was something that was improved with glasses and growth. Since then, not only have the grades improved, but a real enjoyment of reading has too. It happened about a year later... came running in from the bus saying, “I just finished my first big book and I LOVED IT!!!”Having a great doctor sure helps when there are times, as a parent, I just don’t know what to do or how to make it better.- REALLY-REALLY thankful for all the many visits and help from both Dr. Stephen Nigh and Dr. David Nigh.

David Nigh is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He explained every aspect of my eye health. I order glasses online from zenni optical so I have to have my pupillary distance (PD). Some optomitrists wont give it to you. Nigh gladly gave me mine. Highly recommend them.

As a severe myopic, my vision has always been a huge source of frustration and I have had several eye surgeries over the course of my 60+ years. For some reason, when we moved to Greenville from out of state I was having a hard time getting a prescription for lenses that really worked for me. A friend recommended Dr. David Nigh. I hesitated at first because he was an optometrist, not an ophthalmologist (which had always been my eye care professional of choice), but my friend spoke so highly of him I finally broke down and made an appointment.I am so glad I took her advice. The service I received from Nigh Eye Group was exceptional. In addition to the typical clicking through the machine (Which is better: 1 or 2?) Dr. Nigh took a lot of time to talk to me about my eyesight and how I see the world around me. I did not feel at all rushed and felt he really understood my concerns and wanted me to get the best vision possible with the eyes God gave me. While I still will see my ophthalmologist for other issues on occasion, Dr. Nigh will be my go-to provider when its time to get my next refraction.
