I have been a patient at this facility off and on since 2010. The doctors I have seen are dismissive and do not seem to care about symptoms and how you actually feel. The only guideline being followed is what your thyroid panel looks like on paper. The first doctor I had there kept telling me my symptoms were non-thyroid related. I had my hopes up when I switched to a new provider who said that I knew my body and she would treat based on my concerns and symptoms versus what the paper said. While she did take my concerns into hand and draw labs when I was feeling off, she lied about some things I had asked her about. She also attempted to switch up my medications due to pregnancy WITHOUT doing labs first. I have lost all faith in Endocrinologist due to this facility.

Very rude and non understanding Doctor and Staff. I left work as soon as I could to make the appointment with time to spare,so I thought. I was caught at the train on Victor Hill Rd. I KNEW I HAD TO TURN AROUND and drive back The other way. So I was late by 15min. I was turn away without hesitation and no care for my loss of time, gas or frustration. I did show up. I want to be seen. Was told Doctors policy in a condensing tone and demeanor. So my insurance company is great. I will find another and take my dollar somewhere else.

When Stephen Franks was there he was awesome and I my diabetes was under control. He is no longer there and now my diabetes is out of control. Due to some issues with medication I had to complain to get an appointment there. I saw the doctor and what we tried didnt work. For the last two weeks my numbers have been horrible. I sent a message on Monday to the doctor and this is Wednesday and havent heard from her. It is time for me to move on to a place where I can get decent care.

I have been seeing Dr. Franks for over 2 years now and after various endocrinologists for the 17 years I have had Type 1 Diabetes and a thyroid problem, I can definitively say that Dr. Franks is the best I have had the pleasure of working with. The office staff have always been friendly enough and the nurses are wonderful but above all the care by the doctors is exceptional. It doesnt make sense to pick a doctor based on the office staff - it makes sense to pick a doctor based on the knowledge and capabilities of the doctors and without a doubt this practice has plenty of knowledge and skill!

Ive had three doctors to treat my Type 1 diabetes over the past 13 years. Stephen Franks is by far the most thorough and caring doctor that Ive had. At my first meeting with him, he spent over an hour discussing my concerns, my feelings, and my options. I would highly recommend him and others on his team with my full confidence.

I was referred to this office by my PCP on 6/8/20 regarding my recent diagnosis of hyperparathyroidism. Due to COVID, it took a while to get in. I understand that, however, I never got a call from their office until the end of July. The appointment made was at the beginning of September. The office was easy to find, the COVID screening was easy to get through, the office staff was very friendly. Dr. Rappaports nurse was very nice. Dr. Rappaport was very knowledgeable. Showed me models of everything and explained what it was that I had and what was going on (I knew, but it was nice to know he wanted me to know all the details). He explained surgery would be best. He did an ultrasound on my neck. He ordered a CT scan because he couldnt see anything with the ultrasound which he was able to get the next week, however, during our appointment he took a phone call. I understand with doctors they are pulled in different directions, but this was about a 5-10 minute phone call during my appointment that I waited months for!! The only surgery Ive had was a C-section, so I am not happy with the fact that I will most likely need this, so to walk out of my appointment for a phone call that sounded to me like it could have waited was a bit unprofessional. He did make me feel like he was truly concerned for my wellbeing though. He recommended surgery and not for his wallets sake because he does not preform the surgeries himself. He did call me the Monday after my CT scan and told me my results which I thought was nice.PROS - helpful, friendly staff, concerning doctorsCONS - takes unprofessional long phone calls during your appointment, extra long wait for appointment to be scheduled

Amazing! Stephen Franks has changed my life around. I’ve been a diabetic since I was 17. When i started going to the office my initial visit (6/2019) A1C was 7.6. Today (12/12/19) my A1C is down to 5.7 and I’ve lost over 60 lbs! I truly have nothing but words of praise to say about Franks and his entire office! Anyone doubtful...just give it a chance. He listens & works with you, not against you.

Extremely rude office staff. They are not concerned about patients needs. They would rather you leave there office rather than allow you to see another doctor in there office. Very unprofessional!

They don’t seem particularly interested in treating patients here. Got an “expedited” referral here from my primary care doc for a potentially malignant thyroid nodule. I hadn’t heard anything after 2 weeks, so I called to check on the status. I was on hold for 15 minutes so I hung up as I had to get back to work. Called an hour later, exact same thing (Neither of these was around lunch time either). I finally stuck it out for about 15 minutes a third time around 3PM and got someone to talk to me. Apparently, referrals can take “a while” (their words) because a doctor has to review each case, make sure the problem is something they treat there, and then you have to wait for an opening. Ok, that’s fine. When I asked how long that might be, she said “oh, we’re booking quite a few months out now.” When I asked if that meant I probably wouldn’t hear from them for multiple months, she said, “well, yes” like she hadn’t ever considered that point before. She wasn’t particularly friendly either. I’ll be seeking care elsewhere considering I actually value my time (and my life).

If the option was zero stars that would be my choice. My son who was referred as a new patient has been treated so poorly by the front end staff on his first visit. When trying to call in and I was treated so unprofessional when calling as well to chase down his scripts. Whoever works the phone and front desk should be immediately fired. The practice cannot seem to get prescriptions out timely or even if at all for a type 1 diabetic. Horrible care and service all the way around.

I have been seeing Stephen Franks for about 2 years. I understand what some reviewers have said about the time it takes to get in initially, but I have found this to be the case every time I see a new doctor. Stephen Franks is very attentive and thoughtful. Im on a Medtronic pump, and I know that the doctors and NPs get a lot of pressure from the big companies like this to push their products. Stephen Franks has been very open to treating me on this product, but has also been more than willing to recommend other treatments, and is eager to manage my diabetes in whatever way works best for me.

I was referred by my family Dr, and they never called me for an appointment. When I did call they and told them the reasons why I wanted to be seen is because I have been dealing with hypothyroidism for 20 years and I have been wanting a referral for the longest time. Well the Dr finally replied and said he wasn’t interested in seeing me. And gave my family dr some things for me to try but he didnt want to mess with me. How rude? I chose GHS because I didn’t want to go through AnMed but endocrinology specialist have shown me that they are truly not the place where anyone with endocrine problems should go. How dare you discount the severity of my problems without seeing me first. What a joke!!
