We have noticed such a positive change in our dog! She is a 1 year old sweet, high energy, skittish Aussie, and this training has helped her (and us) so much! We noticed she was already so much more calm and attentive after just her first session! It is effective because he knows how to speak your dog’s language, and he teaches you how to do the same.

Do not use this training facility. Especially if you get this man, Larry. We were given different information about the services we were getting AND the price over the phone than by him when he came into our home. He was really rude person to start off with and you didnt speak unless he said so. Anyway, we sent him on his way. He never got a dime of our $875....

Bark busters has been a game changer for us (and I’m not just taking about the awesome chew toy/treat dispenser). Our 4 year old dog was (as Larry put it), “one of the most adrenalized dogs” he had seen! She had so much jump and so much stress. She’s always been an extremely loving dog but through bark busters we have been able to bring out her confidence. She is a much more calm dog all around and we couldn’t be more grateful! I called Bark Busters because our adorable American Bulldog was displaying aggressive type behavior with other dogs and strangers. Larry did a great job starting from the ground up, teaching basics and working towards socialization with people and other animals. My husband had been gone with his work for some time, and came back to Molly being a completely different dog. Thanks to Larry for his patience and work with Molly. Larry is an amazing and incredibly effective dog trainer and person. My wife and I got a rescue dog a few months back, and although he was great at home he was very scared of strangers and other dogs. He also was terrible at walking on the leash. We knew we had to do something so we called up Larry at Bark Busters. After our first meeting we could already see a difference in his behavior and obedience. Larry taught us the skills to be able to communicate with our dog. The lessons seemed to be simple, but within a week or two of repeating the exercises our dog was leaps and bounds past where he was. Now our dog listens really well, he walks like a champ, and he is not scared of other dogs or strangers. We cannot credit Larry enough for all he did. Just yesterday we had our dog at the park, he went to dinner with us, and he was so happy and confident the entire time. Larry was so great and helpful with training not only Coco, but myself. He was patient with us both and showed me great techniques so show control with my dog. I purchased Bark Busters Home Dog Training when I realized Brio and I needed a better relationship. Brio would bark, growl, and snap at people when they arrived. He would not drop or release anything in his month - he would threaten you with a growl and then bite. He also tugged on leash and refused to listen. I starting searching for trainers that fitted my way of thinking toward positive behavior and not harsh methods. Larry told me about his company and their methods and gave me the information I needed. From day one he taught me methods of positive enforcement, leadership, body language; that I use get Brio to listen and obey. Larry knows canine psychology and he had the situation under control from the moment he met Brio. After two sessions Brio continues to improve. Larry makes instructions easy to follow and takes his time to make sure you understand your homework assignments. I feel confident that Bark Busters is just the right thing for Brio and he will be a happier dog because of his training.

So far our inherited 18 month old Blue German Shepard has made fantastic progress with Larry. He is learning daily about proper behavior and good manners. We are a retired couple and this is a big, overly exuberant pup and we were on the verge of placing him in a new home. Now, he is showing signs of really calming down and being a superb dog. We couldnt be happier.

I called Larry because I had just adopted two adult dachshunds who had obviously never been taken for a walk on a leash and for general help with behavior such as barking and rushing towards visitors and growling at them. He was wonderful in teaching me how to better communicate with them so that they knew what it was I wanted from them and how to be less stressed about walking two dogs at once who were basically in a contest to outrun each other and sometimes in opposite directions. He was patient with me and my babies and there whenever I had a question. Now, my dogs know that Im the leader and they have to follow me, listen to me and we can go on pleasant walks together without me ending up tangles in leashes. Larry is by far the best dog trainer. My husband and I had nearly given up on our 1 year old Australian Shepherd, Randall. We had a previous dog trainer who didnt give us the tools to be successful so we were hopeless. We found Larry when we moved to Greenville and he was very patient with us knowing that there was a lot to teach both humans and canine. Our dog used to control us, own the door, pull on his leash, and bark aggressively at humans and dogs. Over the last couple of months, Larry has taught us drills to practice with our dog that have truly helped transform him. Larry (& Merlyn) were everything I could have possibly wanted in training my new chocolate lab pups, Abby & Nash. I love Larrys approach and he very clearly loves animals. I called Bark Busters because I was having some challenges walking my dogs. I have two dogs and both of them would get aggressive on the leash when we were walking towards another dog. Larry was able to work with us thru training and give me the tools to practice on my own. Both of my dogs are so much calmer and easier to manage, the instinct to bark and lunge is gone. I couldnt be happier with the results. Working on this particular issue which was my primary goal has also helped with overall obedience! A great process for all!

Please train train your people how to talk to potential customers. When I mentioned that I felt his services were a little steep on the price ($525 for FOUR sessions, considering I could pay $600 for a FULL 3 weeks at another facility I inquired with) his exact words were “well then petsmart is the place for you” in a VERY condescending tone...... excuse me?!!!Wow, just wow!!! Would not recommend this place simply off one conversation, and that says a lot!!

It has been amazing to see how quickly Larry has trained me to help Walter. It has been a very informative helpful experience. I would recommend Larry very highly.

We called Larry at Bark Busters because we needed help with our 4 yr old Aussie. She was aggressive at the door and we had trouble walking her on leash. Since Larry has showed us the right way to handle her we have a completely different dog. Now when someone knocks at the door she will sit in the kennel (with the door open) until we tell her she is free to greet our guests. Also we can walk her on leash with little to no problem at all. We just finished up our training with Larry and I would have to say that we are truly amazed at the progress our German Shepherd Luke has made. Gracie (a 5 yr. old mini schnauzer) came to me 2 years ago as a rescue dog. Overall she was a very friendly, well behaved dog. But she had two problem areas - barking and pulling on the leash when walking. She would bark at anything and everything. And the pulling was so bad that I got tendonitis in my shoulder! After Uncle Larrys first visit the barking had almost come to a complete stop. A friend visiting after our first training session commented on how quiet my house was! Gracie and I are working on the walking on the leash, and she is so much better already (its only been two weeks since Uncle Larrys first visit!). Once I learned how to be in charge, Gracie picked up on it like she knew thats how it was supposed to be. We both now enjoy our daily walks. I would highly recommend Bark Busters to anyone! We are very pleased with the results after hiring Uncle Larry to help us with our dogkids. We rescued both of our dogs as adults and needed help undoing some naughty habits. Really, it was us humans who needed the training. Each dog had different needs and he worked with us all as a family. We have a very high strung and anxious Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix that was driving us crazy! Sadie is very aggressive and barks at every noise and person she sees. Calling Larry was my last resort before trying to find a new home for our puppy. In the very first visit with Larry he taught ME how to be a better pet parent and in return Sadie began responding immediately to her new life style and commands. The first thing was potty training which we have almost mastered (we’re at 99%) the next was walking … not pulling while on a leash. It takes a few minutes to calm her down but once she realizes that Mama is in charge and not her, she’s a great walking companion (and not trying to attack everyone in sight thanks to water bombs)! I learned many things during “our training” but the most important was that if Sadie’s behaviors were going to change it was up to me to find 15 – 20 minutes a day to help her learn what was expected. While we still have room for improvement, I’m a much happier pet parent and she’s a much more obedient pet! Thank you Larry for your time and patience.

Our dog, Percy, was in the shelter for several months before we adopted him. While we knew immediately that he was a very sweet and smart dog, we found out after a couple of weeks that despite many walks per day and all sorts of toys to play with, Percys energy level was very difficult to work with. On walks he would sometimes get startled by something and all of a sudden be uncontrollably jumping and barking and occasionally, growling at us. Because of his energy level, we thought we might have to take him back to the shelter. But after even one session with Larry, we learned how to communicate to Percy properly and make him understand what we wanted from him. We also learned how to mentally exercise Percy, which wears him out more than 10 walks would! Now, after three sessions, Percy understands how to behave around other dogs and how to calm down when we need him to. His behavior has improved so much and I cannot thank Bark Busters and Larry enough!

We had a situation where Naiobi, a 5 year-old Huskey, was attacking Bailey, a 10 year-old Walker Hound after cohabitating for years. We also have a 5 year-old Walker, Mavis.Larry decided that we needed to put all 3 dogs through their paces with some routine leash training. We would all rotate which dog we trained so that they would look at ALL of us in the house as authority figures.By the time we finished the course, they were walking on leashes side by side by side in near-perfect harmony. Buster (Jack Russell, 11 years old) and I are still in training. We are both senior citizens and have had 3 lessons under Uncle Larrys patient tutorledge. Busters behavior has improved greatly, I am still struggling. It is hard for me to be a leader when I have always been a follower. However, I have learned to say Sit and Stay and sound like I mean it. I have become very good at growling BAH! and sound like I mean it. I am excellent at throwing the Bark Buster pillow and the water bombs. I have learned to hold a leash loosely in my left hand and not let Buster lead me where he wants to go. I have learned to relax when Buster passes a strange dog and correct him when necessary. I have learned how to take off his leash without him growling. I have learned to keep him away from the door when someone knocks or rings the doorbell. I love Buster and Buster loves me, but now we have an even better relationship. We are still learning, but Uncle Larry is very patient with both of us. I can recommend him highly.
