I have had a Wonderful experience here with zDr. Feng and staff! I felt very well cared for and came to trustthem in short order as I had another issue with my eye other than just requiring cataract removal. Dr. Feng was right on top of it! Recommend them highly!

I find that right now that the staff is very accommodating and friendly.Check-in is quick and wait time was fast.Since I posted this last message I have now had two cataracts removed this year.I am more than pleased with Dr. Prenshaw and my procedures.I do not have to wear glasses which I have worn since I was 18 years old. Now I am in my 70s and no glasses except reading glasses but that is no problem.White Eyes Associates is a 5 stars in my opinion.

My experience with two of the staff members at the front and in appointments was very rude and disrespectful. The two rude ladies at the front, one named Nicki in appointments, gives people that ride the Medical Transport, a hard time. We are talked to like we don’t matter. Our medical insurance pays just like the rest of the people that are seen there. Just because some of us are disabled and cannot drive ourselves, doesn’t mean we deserve rude and discriminatory behaviors against us. Maybe the news media needs to know!

I just had 2 cataract surgeries performed at White Eye Associates in the past 8 days. Dr Bauer and his staff were awesome! Professionalism and compassion at its best! I have already referred people to their office and will continue to do so!

Dr. Steinberg doesnt take the time to discuss post surgery treatment plan with patients. Hes strictly task-oriented.... focus only on caseload. He rambles while writing at the same time. Getting you seen and out the office and on to the next patient is his TOP priority. His assistant totally lacks social and patient etiquette skills. She doesnt acknowledge your presence. In addition, she doesnt assist patients to and from their chair in the office. Most patients are still unsteady on their feet after having their eye patch removed. Accident just waiting to happen. My mom had both eyes done to remove cataracts and both times the interaction from Dr. and Assistant per post treatment office visits was just the same. No empathy or compassion. I wouldnt recommend this office to anyone.

This was the worst experience I have ever had. Dr. Steinberg was very rude, very disrespectful and very unprofessional. I strongly recommend to anyone, find another doctor. To be asked do you want the surgery or not as opposed to going blind, thank God I already had another doctor lined up for my procedure. And I couldnt have asked for anyone any better. Ive had both of my eyes done, cataracts in both, and he was an excellent doctor with an awesome staff. He was a blessing. His name is Dr. Vincent Dahringer, out of Raleigh, N.C. I was so fortunate to have him on my side. And I would recommend him to everyone!!! Stay away from Dr. Steinberg. He doesnt care at all.

Sitting in the waiting area, I could hear the receptionist speaking and behaving very rudely toward not one but two elderly patients who clearly has multiple health issues. I understand there are COVID protocols that must be followed, when after speaking under her mask in a very disrespectful, hurried, soft-spoken, and muffled manner and the person indicated they could not hear her, she shoved an information clipboard through the tiny window at him and rattled off that she needed his cards (not specifying his ID and medical insurance card). After he looked at her bewildered and very much in need of support, I stood, approached him and offered to assist. This is what she should have done from the very beginning and God forbid she stand and come around the partition to help him. All she did was bark at him and then go silent when he didn’t understand her.My visit with the doctor was fine. I did share my disturbing experience with his assistant and asked that she share it with someone so it can be addressed with training on how to communicate and assist elder patients who have VISION, hearing, and other concerns. When I looked around the waiting area, I was one of only two persons under the age of SIXTY, so this tells me this is your main clientele. It was very upsetting.

This place is the best eye facility I have ever been to. Dr. Bauer is an excellent doctor (as are all doctors here) and knows how to talk with a patient without being condescending. The rest of the staff are so friendly and professional and make you feel at ease. This is true of both the Jacksonville and Greenville locations. I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

Please beware of Dr John W Prenshaw. After being referred there for a corneal scratch, recurrent corneal erosion and an eye infection, he was extremely rude when he could not log into an app because he could not remember his username and password. After already mentioning that fact, he then tried to say the problem was with the program. I mentioned it seemed more like user error than program error and he began to yell at me and show me the exit. I explained I was only for help and was on extreme pain yet he thought it was funny when he said to me,”hopefully I can get your pain meds called in today. I had already explained I was in dire need of something for the pain and said I didn’t think I could possibly go without and pain meds for 24 hours. Not only did he lie about the problem, but he just had his office call me saying he still hasn’t figured out how to get it to work and they hoped it would be resolved before the end of the day.Patients beware of the type of doctor you might be dealing with. I am afraid at this point he will not call in the prescription. Good luck to anyone going through what I am if you have to be seen by Dr. Prenshaw.Update: I asked them to refer me to Duke and they did. It’s a good thing because the diagnosis I got from Dr. Prenshaw was not correct and I am being treated completely differently. I advise anyone with a serious eye issue to avoid Dr. Prenshaw. He was extremely unprofessional, showed zero concern for my situation, and was too incompetent to to work his phone to find a username and password for an app to complete the prescription process (which he thought was funny and made jokes about it for 20 minutes while I sat there in pain and asking for help). His arrogance and lack of compassion makes the entire business look bad. I will never return to their business and will tell anyone I know about the experience.Go there at your own risk and if you do, good luck. I hope you don’t have to be seen by Dr. Prenshaw.

I have only great things to say about Dr. Bauer ...he is the one of the kindest, most professional and accomplished eye doctor I’ve ever had experience with...he is not the problem...this business is constantly overbooking their appointments and as a result, the patient has to routinely wait at least an hour over their appointment time to be seen & is escorted from one waiting room to another...it’s absolutely ridiculous how the patients are treated at this facility....as much as I loved Dr Bauer, I will not return for anything....there are too many great eye doctors in Greenville to be herded like cattle in this office...it’s been some time since I visited here but I think everyone should be advised at how inefficient it is & how long you will be expected to wait....choose somewhere else!

I was recommended to come here by my doctor and I usually like to choose my own but I took her advice. I had to problems at 2 different times with the girls at the Front Desk. They need to learn how to talk to the patients. You are not going 4o talk to me any kind of way and you are not going to talk down to me like I am a child and then bill my insurance. You have a job because of me along with other patients that choose to come there. After my last experience on the phone I was through with them. I told the girl dont worry about making a appointment for me and I wanted to tell her you can go ahead and destroy all of my paperwork because I will not be coming there ever. Some of them need help on their customer service skills and they need to learn bed manner in the medical field. Yall just lost a patience and I will be taking my vision needs some place where I would be treated like I matter.

I awakened with some apparent injury to my right eye. It was photosensitive, red, puffy and painful. I knew I needed an opthamologist, but without an appointment, to find one was more difficult than I thought. Thanks so much to The Greenville Eye Clinic for their persistence in finding someone on call to see me. Much thanks to Dr. Viscardi and his staff at White Eye Associates for giving me the relief, care and follow up I needed. I was very impressed with Dr. Viscardis ability to actually assess and accurately diagnose based on his assessment. Its a rare gem to find these days. And, I am so very thankful to all who was involved in obtaining the care I needed that day. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Dr. Viscardi and team to anyone in need of an opthamologist.

Id give this place 100 stars if I could. I never wait more than about five minutes for my appointment. Everyone in that office is as friendly as they can be. Dr. Viscardi performed my LASIK surgery and I have had incredible results. Easiest thing Ive ever done. I couldnt recommend them more.
