Dr Leslie Simmons and Dr Yolande Hackney are the best ob/gyns Ive ever met I love them both . They pay attention to all your concerns. They are both very patient and loving doctors. Best doctors who even call you back when have any concerns or questions .Thank you for being the best I recommend them as their both very caring. Sent from heaven indeed may they be blessed for all their hard work. They delivered my 2 children and made both of my pregnancy journeys smooth.

I arrived to location about 40 min prior to scheduled time and scheduled my appointment at least two weeks ago. Only to be told I had no appointment and to make a new one. No apologies no attempt to see if accommodations could be made. Just poor service.

My visit did not start bad, but progressively got worse as I navigated my way through the clinic. The training MA, was super nice and welcoming. She took my temp and instructed me to go into the clinic. Once I walked in the front desk staff asked me for my ID and insurance card. I told them I was self-Pay. They did advise me to reschedule the appointment once my insurance kicked in. I declined and the registration continued. I paid the visit fee, waited another 30mins or so and saw the MA for intake. This MA was also pleasant and even apologized for asking a question that upsets me. Even though she had no idea! Okay so here is the problem. The provider comes in the room, doesn’t knock or announce herself... she just walks in. “So you have PCOS” I informed her I didn’t but I wanted to see if I possibly did because Of my irregular cycles. She asked if I had gained weight, and I stated I did. The provider informs me I have to lose weight and see another specialist about my abnormal cycles and trying to conceive. THE PROVIDER NEVER ASKED ME to explain my irregular cycles, flow, frequency or any descriptive details. I felt as though she dismissed my concerns, and I immediately felt anger and frustration take over me. She offered to schedule me for a pap once my cycle end. I WOULD NEVER step foot in that office again. I will surely be letting my colleagues know about this place.

How the receptionists speak to customers is baffling, highly unprofessional, aggressive, and ignorant. Customer service is arguably the ONLY complaint made about this practice as repeated complaints have made it clear customers feel disrespected by the offices lack of customer service. Yet, no one has made it a point to train or preferably rehire emotionally and professionally competent secretaries at all locations.Personal experience:When I mentioned how uncomfortable I was speaking to an aggressive woman at the Germantown office, her response was, this attitude is only with you. However, the attitude began after I said hello, and our conversation did not drift outside of attempting to set up an appointment.Moving forward, it would be in the doctors best interest to advocate for new secretaries that embody excellent communication skills and respect since they are losing customers due to their current secretaries.

I love the the medical team at this doctors office. Dr. Hackney and Dr. Simmons are amazing! They both have great bedside manners, listen attentively, and are easy to talk to. Even the doctors assistants and office manager were amazing!!!The receptionist could take a lesson in how she communicates with her patients. She doesnt seem too friendly when dealing with the public. I still give this office five stars despite the receptionist disposition. She doesnt seem too friendly.I still recommend this doctors office. I hope the receptionist works on her bedside manners. I wouldnt want patients to change offices simply because of her. Friendly front office staff. Both are good doctors. They listen to concerns, provide good information, spend a lot of time with you. Sometimes their methods and techniques are a little bit dated. Also they dont do ultrasound/sonogram in their office. First birth went almost flawlessly, some unnecessary attention occurred because of the dated equipment in their office (this was told to us by several hospital doctors and nurses that know or have worked with them) with a possibly unnecessary but successful c-section as a result.Their does seem to be some confusion at the front office which insurance they accept. Several people had conflicting information and ended up with an insurance that they didnt accept even though I called to confirm 3 times before choosing our insurance . so will not be having a second child with them.

Doctors were very helpful and professional during all pregnancy, even during the difficult time of covid19. This is my first pregnancy and the projected babys weight, size and head were bigger than average, and also his shoulder got stuck during delivery, we were taken care of with a high degree of care and baby is absolutely fine thanks to the hard work of doctor and hospital stuff. Im very happy with the way it came out, with all complications of the delivery I feel better now (5 days after) than some my friends after normal delivery.

I was recommended to Metropolitan Womens Group about 6 months ago when I was insearch of a female doctor for overall health exams. Boy am I glad I found this team! They are phenomenal! I always feel comfortable and the doctors answer all of my questions without making me feel like I am bothering them or taking up their time. I highly recommend this team to anyone seeking exceptional care!

Dr Simmons truly cares about the patient experience. The office is warm and inviting. She has a phenomenal bedside manner. She answered all of my questions honestly and provided detailed information on other health care professionals that could help with other concerns - both physical and mental. At one point she even used her tablet to point out websites and apps that I would find helpful. This was an excellent visit and I would highly recommend the Metropolitan Womens Group to anyone looking for quality medical service in a comfortable and private setting.

I got scheduled in less than 24 hours. Dr. Simmons is great. She really took her time and got really in depth with my medical background, even came back herself to let me know that it was not recommended to take the New meds with my current prescriptions. Glad she caught this upfront.Due to COVID they’re still working on how you enter the office as far as calling before you come up and getting your temperature checked. She’s my doc for life now!

Dr. Simmons was able to answer my questions and clear concerns. The nurse that took me back wasnt so pleasant. The office staff dont have great customer delight skills. The lady in the office in the front was helpful when I called in to get information for other services.Dr. Simmons is a doctor I would recommend. Thereafter the above, services improved and I had an exceptional delivery.

Dr. Hackney was warm, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. She exhibited the ultimate caring attitude towards her patients. She listened to me and helped me solve my medical puzzle. I truly appreciate her and the rest of the doctors in her practice!

Both Dr. Hackney and Dr. Simmons are fantastic and knowledgeable!!The front desk/phone receptionists on the other hand are openly grumpy and curt with you and severely damage the Metro Women’s Group. While I understand it may be difficult to jump from location to location, that is the job you chose and customer service is no small part of that.

My experience has been awesome so far! Ive been a patient since month 2 of my first pregnancy. I am now 5 months and have had tons of questions that Dr. Hackney has answered so eloquently. Great front desk staff and pleasant phone admin. No complaints! Id definitely go to her for my next baby.

Nice staff, thoughtful care -- It was my first visit, but I will definitely go back to Dr. Robertson-Hackney. I especially appreciate her because Ive seen a few other gyns over the last few years, hoping to address peri-menopause issues, and was disappointed with the advice and treatment I received. The only note (which is not the least bit important) is that while the treatment rooms were very nice, modern, clean, and comfortable, the waiting room was pretty shabby. I strongly value the care of a good doctor like Dr. Hackney over the decor, however, it seems like it would be an easy fix.

Great AA Female practice! Dr Hackney and Dr Simmons know their stuff and while often very busy they do try their best to accommodate to their patients and demonstrate good bedside manner. The staff are sweet once you they start getting familiar with seeing you more often. Overall, a great all-female practice and they stay busy because they are good.

I am very surprised by the negative reviews. I have been a patient of the practice for over ten years. I first started seeing Dr. Campbell and then over the years as the providers changed, saw other physicians. Not only was EACH ONE considerate with spending time to address my needs but they were very knowledgeable and resourceful. Walking into the office has been like walking in to visit with friends. Granted, everyone cannot relate to having comforting friends that you can talk to about anything but that has been my experience with the office staff.I admit that I was skeptical of Dr. Hackneys personality when I met with her. I thought that her facial expressions meant that she was judging me and that her tone was demeaning. I AM SO GLAD THAT I DID NOT LET MY EMOTIONAL RESPONSE TO HER GET THE BEST OF ME... Dr. Hackney is one of the best physicians that I know! She is smart, funny, witty, confident, a quick thinker, knowledgeable, and resourceful. I learned that her expressions were her way of thinking of clinical ways to resolve my issues and her tone was her way of ensuring me that I too had to be accountable for my gynecological/obstetrical health. It was in her facial expressions that she was pondering my health as an older woman having her first child. It was in those expressions that she knew during my delivery that my daughter had to come out immediately in order to survive. I am forever thankful to Dr. Hackney for her intuitiveness when delivering my daughter. I have the healthiest, happiest baby ever!So if you are looking for a practice where staff are robotic and providers just write you prescriptions and send you on your way then do not schedule your appointment at Metropolitan Womens Group. Metropolitan Womens Group is a practice that cares about your entire being as a woman and has providers who will hold you accountable to being your best you.

Dr Robertson-Hackney is an exceptional doctor, best GYN Ive had in a long time. Shes personable, professional and her wisdom of the field is apparent. She makes great recommendations based on your individual needs and isnt pushy if you decline. I love her personality which is very calming. I chose this 2 person practice while searching for OB care because I wanted to increase my chances of the baby being delivered by the same provider who oversaw my care. My L&D was extremely fast so it was a bit chaotic once at the hospital (one of the L&D nurses at Holy Cross lost her cool with me as I was a bit worked up from pain and had no time for any anesthesia.) Dr Robertson-Hackney remained calm, got me to focus quickly and did a beautiful job. I continue seeing her for my GYN care and wouldnt go anywhere else.

I stop going there because, 1) every time the nearest available appointment would be 2 weeks away, that means, you wait 2 weeks to get your blood drew, wait another 2 weeks to discuss the result with your doctor, and if there is further questions, wait 2 weeks again please. 2) when I had an emergency situation, there is simply nobody answers the phone, while I made an appointment to see a doctor the next day at another ob office even though I wasnt their patient yet, I found no reason to see docs here. 3) they send lab work to an out-of-network lab without informing me, which made me have to pay the bill otherwise it would be fully covered by my insurance. Anyway, I have no problem with the docs here, they are nice and I liked to talk to them, but I cant agree the way how they handling their business.

I have loved the doctors here, but I have been trying to get in touch with someone about a medication for over a week. The doctor gave me a prescription that wasnt covered by my insurance, and I have called at least 15 times, and left at least 5 or 6 messages. Often, the message system says that the office is closed when the hours option clearly states that they are open on that day and time. I did have someone call me back and look into my question, but after that I have not heard back from anyone and cannot get anyone to return my messages nor answer the phone. Plus, they are only open four days a week, so after four days of trying to reach anyone at all, they close for three, and again will not return messages. I can not believe this office.

Dr. Robertson-Hackney is amazing! She goes the extra mile for her patients and makes us feel safe. The staff at the Greenbelt office is very friendly.

I do NOT recommend this clinic/group to anyone! First visit I schedule to have was with Dr.Simmons in their Germantown office but instead and without even telling me I have Dr.Robertson-Hackney. Dr. Hackney was pleasant and prompt the first visit *there were no other patients* I discussed with her my issues and concerns which I feel like were a bit downplayed. Lab testing had to be done at the Greenbelt office due to the staff being on lunch. I make a follow up appointment to discuss my results and concerns. I received MULTIPLE reminders to confirm my appointment for 4:00 pm. I arrived 6 minutes late two other ladies there waiting. 15 mins go by waiting...30 mins go by I finally get called backed. I waited an additional 45 MINUTES to see the doctor NOTHING after going to front desk twice to voice my concerns that this is completely unprofessional and rude bc of the disregard for my time. The doctor or front desk employees never once came in to state she was running behind or possibly over scheduled. Wasted time off as well as time out of my day to never see a doctor for an appointment I made a week in advance no apology or anything. These folks don’t value time but they value the copay and the payments for the bills. Customer service is a big thing for me as well as simply being mindful and courteous so NO I would never return (I’m sure she could care less) and NO I would not recommend someone taking their TIME out to see this doctor because of something as important as HEALTH. DO BETTER DR. HACKNEY

Dr Hackney & Dr Simmons are the absolute best. I went to see them because I had fibroids and they were nothing but helpful thru the whole process of diagnosing me and getting treatment. I love them both. And the ladies in their office are absolutely delightful.

Really incompetent receptionists. Ask to speak to OFFICE MANAGER (was helpful) before booking appointment ( Greenbelt location). My appointment wasn’t correctly recorded and receptionist was not knowledgeable on insurance policies or anything else.

I am definitely looking forward to working with them.This morning I had to have a procedure done at MWG, and was highly impressed, when I arrived when I greeted the receptionist everyone in that area of the office also said Good Morning. Everyone, from the receptionist, the nurses, the anesthesiologist, to Dr. Robertson-Hackney were all very pleasant and helpful.I would highly recommend this practice to anyone needing an OB-GYN.

This place is the worst. I recommend nobody to waste their money here. The staff are very rude and even has a sign which says customers will be charged $10 if they are rude. Its a maternity clinic and they have a rule of no kids allowed and they dont even mention that when you schedule. You come to their clinic and they just ask you to reschedule because you brought your kids in. Very rude and nasty. Stay away at all cost.

I have been going to this practice for only few months but everytime that I go I have had good experiences. The staff are very friendly and personable and the doctors are informative and helpful. Dr. Hackney is the doctor that I see most of the time and she is always very nice and takes the time to listen to my concerns. I only had one visit where the wait time was long .. about and hour... but I am usually called back within 10 minutes of checking in. I like that they draw the blood in office as oppose to some other GYN offices where you have to take a separate trip to the lab.

Terrible customer service. Money hungry!! Was turned away for a $20 balance that wasnt even 30 days old . I hadnt even received a bill in the mail from them or a statement from my insurance company. I am new to the DMV and was super nervous seeking a new GYN. I cried and Erica calmed me down and assured me that I was in good hands. Dr. Hackney understood and was easy to talk to about my concerns. I think I found my doctor here.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Hackney today. Well, first, her Germantown office is nice and new and clean. I appreciate that! The front desk person was super sweet, helpful, and knowledgeable. Thats very important, too. Dr. Hackney was so sweet and so personable. She makes you feel comfortable and at ease. It was an enjoyable visit considering (I mean, who LIKES going to the GYN?!). Ive been to a lot of GYNs and she was amazing.

The Doctors are nice, but its not enough to stay since you will hardly ever see the same one twice when making an appointment. You are never in the loop about paperwork or billing until waaaay after the fact. Finally, you can hardly ever get in touch with staff to get anything. Requested copies of my records 5 months ago and handed the request in person at the office... NOTHING. Find a place where youll be taken care of and not ignored!

My initial visit was great and Dr. Campbell is wonderful. However, its the staff of medical assistants causing so many negative reviews. I have been trying to get a prescription refill for a week now. Ive called and spoken to an actual person who said she was doing right at that moment. Well I called the pharmacy a day later there is no prescription. The pharmacy even tried their Eprescribe system. Not sure what happened there, but they said they didnt receive a response from the doctors office. I havent had any other issues and I really like my doctor. From the looks of the reviews, if they dont get the medical in order then theyll be losing a lot of business.

I came in for a recheck from an emergency room visit at the silver spring office with Dr. Hackney. I was in and out within 10 minutes. Dr. Hackney told me to make a follow up at the Greenbelt location. I was the first appointment of the day. Another patient was seated in the waiting room when I got in and then another about 10 mins of waiting. After 20 mins of waiting I was sent to the back where I had my vitals taken. All of the tech who helped me were pleasant. I continued to wait an hour before seeing the doctor. I met with Dr. Hackney for 5 minutes, maybe. I am giving two star because of the horrible wait time.

Minus the long wait time my experience was wonderful.

Walking in, the front desk staff was less than inviting. They were all talking amongst themselves and it took a couple looks and awkward hellos before I was helped.I made the appointment as a new patient with UnitedHealthcare insurance. Both their website and the insurance website list this office accepted United, however I was sitting in the office for at least 10-15 minutes before I was told United was not accepted.Very upset I wasted my time, gas, and personal time.

When I first started going here I enjoyed it. The old staff were nice, professional, and hard working. Ive never been so disappointed over a doctors office before. The staff they hire are trash. They hire people who dont know a lick of English and have zero customer service experience. Like their hiring people straight from these 3rd world countries. Ive tried to call them for months now about a problem I was having and not once did they pick up the phone or call back. I have left voicemail after voicemail but still dont get a call back. On top of that, they billed my mother and I a $2,000 bill!!! For no reason. Just for a yearly check up!! That is ridiculous. Even our insurance company said that it was ridiculous. They actually recommended that we switch doctors as soon as we can to avoid this money grubbing facility. I canceled my appointment with these trash place and started going to Medstar Mitchellville OBGYN who have one of the best OBGYN doctors in the area. Of what the staff at medstar said, most of the patients from Metropolitan womens group are currently going to medstar. They all complained about the womens group. Im surprise that this place still gets service and hasnt been shut down. Never going back here.P. SI dont care if anyone if offended by my review. Im being as honest as I can so other women do not have to go through this experience.

I hate this place so much!!!!!I can never get my lab results though this appI been calling for 3 weeks now trying to get someone to give me my lab results, all they told me You can only get your lab results on the app or wait till your next appointment which was in 4 weeks all I wanted was to confirm my pregnancy which now Im about 7 weeks pregnant the first day I went they didnt do the urine test, only blood work so I had to wait for my results that I never got because the app would say unavailable to process. I am now going to another doctor I am so done with this place. And the office people are still horrible they dont care about you or want you need.

This place is horribly ridiculous. Ive never known a doctors office where a patient has been trying to get in contact with a doctor for OVER a week and still hasnt received any form of communication, whether its phone or email. You cant even get in touch with a front desk receptionist. This is very unprofessional especially when it come to dealing with someones health!!!! To have to experience all of this after waiting a month just to get an appointment, its down right absurd. Even when I got there the only people there was a doctor and nurses assistant. NO front desk people to assist with anything. If you value your health dont go here!
