Fast, courteous registration, exam was efficient administered by personable, knowledgeable technician; immediate feedback with charts before leaving; overall took about one half hour.

Check-in staff was very professional however the person who did the actual testing seemed only marginally familiar with the different hearing aids and their features.

I was treated with courtesy and efficiency. The Covid 19 precautions were outstanding. All employees were helpful and gave clear instructions. I was completely satisfied with the experience.

Never have to wait a minute if you have an appointment, unlike most providers in Grass Valley.

I love my new hearing aids. For the first time in over 20 years my husband can set the volume on the TV at the level he likes, and I’m getting the sound at my own volume directly into my ears. This makes us both happy.After pairing my hearing aids with my cell phone, I understand incoming calls much better than ever before. And with a bonus: I can talk and listen without holding the phone to my ear and without using the cell phone’s speaker. It’s nifty.The new technology packed into these tiny hearing aids is amazing.Im a long time Gold Country patient. Dr. Keith Darrows, Ph.D., presentation hosted by Gold Country Hearing on Tuesday, August 6 in Grass Valley provided an invaluable and informative insight into the preventable causes of dementia and the role that hearing loss plays. I particularly liked Dr. Darrows quote, Aging is inevitable, Decline is optional. It was an excellent and most understandable presentation; and one that I will take to heart to address my own hearing loss. Thank you Dr. Bonney and Gold Country Hearing for hosting this most informative presentation by a recognized expert. Their book, Regain Connections is a must read for all of us who are in the aging stage of our lives.

I recently went to Gold Country Hearing to have my hearing levels checked. It was a friendly, inviting office and they did a good job of making me feel comfortable. The waiting room was comfy but I was seen promptly, my hearing tested, directions were clear and results were explained. I was very happy to know that although my hearing is certainly not perfect, I was still within a normal range for speech so do not need further assistance at this time. This was a stress free visit.

I have been so happy with my experience at Gold Country Hearing. I realized I was missing a lot of other peoples comments to me. I went in for a hearing evaluation and found that my hearing had gotten worse since my last hearing test. Its so nice to have a Doctor of Audiology as a clinician and hearing expert. Results were explained in a clear, easy to understand session. I was allowed to use some demonstration aids for a test run. Wow! I heard things that I didnt know were there! What a difference! With the recent research linking hearing loss and dementia, it was an easy decision. I will have my permanent devices in a week or so! Ive been using Gold Country Hearing as my audiologists for over three years. They do everything I need. When I first went there Dr. Bonney let me experiment with several brands and types of hearing aids. It was invaluable. They have multiple audiologists who understand how to work with Lyric hearing aids, which I use and which are fabulous but finicky. When Ive needed to be seen off-hours or in a different office they arrange it. Great folks, and extremely competent and knowledgeable.Added a few months later: still a great experience. For various reasons it would be more convenient for me to use an audiologist in the Bay Area but I’m not going to switch.

Not cheap, but the professional service, genuine concern and pain staking attention to finding the proper hearing aid is well worth the price of admission. Highly recommended.The above was my initial rating. I offer an update since Ive had an on going relationship with the office. The professionals in the office as well as support staff continue to keep my hearing aids working properly and well fitted as my hearing needs change. This result is the clear concern and attention the entire office provides their customers on an on going basis. Since there is no cost for continuing care, I must modify my original assessment of not cheap to what seems the reasonable cost of on going care. Still highly recommended.

I received my 1st hearing aids about 2 weeks ago and they are a real help it takes some getting used to. The staff was very friendly and helpful did all the insurance work and answered all my questions
