This office will exceed your every expectation. I have been paying out of pocket (this office is out of my insurance network) and drive an hour to receive their exceptional services for several years.I do not have one complaint about anything with this office.The office staff is always friendly and always replies promptly no matter what the issue is Im having.The office itself is beautiful and always cleanIve had unusual extensive issues with my eyes and Dr. Kenyon has always went above and beyond to ensure that I understand, have what I need and has even reached out to other services or providers to be able to provide me with what I need.I do not know how they ALWAYS provide exceptional service daily while others do not but THEY DO!!I cannot say enough good things about the entire office!!!I love them!!!

I went here for about ten years and only recently became extremely disappointed. My doctors have always been great, however, the sales associates are extremely condescending, pushy, and rude. They dont let you choose which glasses you want to pick out or give you an appropriate amount of time to pick out a pair of glasses. Instead, they stand over your shoulder and critique which glasses fit your face shape. My two experiences with two separate associates made me never want to come back again.

Excellent, Excellent service from the test to fitting the glasses, everyone is kind, professional and honest. These lenses are holding up better than others I have worn with special coatings. Much harder surface and easier to clean. Wonderful place to get glasses.

Super helpful staff! Went in for multiple adjustments to various glasses and the people fixing them knew exactly what they were doing. As this is the THIRD place I have visited to get my glasses fixed, I am elated to finally having them fit perfectly.

I would like to start by saying the staff is very professional, friendly, and welcoming! The only reason why I chose this rating is that the assistant as well as the doctor dismissed the fact that I said several times I wanted to order contacts before leaving. Maybe they thought I couldnt afford them. Idk! That was the only purpose for my visit. I needed an exam in order for me to get contacts. I already knew what I wanted but I went along with trying out different tones of gray that were available because I do understand brands do get discontinued. Ive never checked out from the exam room before. I definitely felt rushed to check out. So after having paid to have my pupils dilated and for my exam. I was then escorted to the front desk to pay for my contacts backward right. So I swiped my debit card twice in a matter of minutes. Then I was told by the front desk that my prescription for my contacts would have to be either mailed or email to me. Ive been wearing contacts for over 20 years now and have never had my prescription mailed or email to me. Its usually ready around the time I check out. I get it every place is different. I chose this place because they were the only place that was willing to schedule me right away. Everyone else was booked out till the middle/end of October. I learned a valuable lesson. Sometimes its better to just wait it out!

We use West MI Eyecare for my daughters eyecare. Recently we stopped in with questions about a new prescription. Christina, one of the Opticians was phenomenal while working with our 4 year old. She was so personal and listened to her words to help get things straightened around. Having someone take care of your child so well means so much and I couldnt be happier with the service we are provided here.

This company really worked hard to help me get the glasses I needed. While you wait to see a doctor they have tea and water for you to enjoy. The staff is very friendly and goes above and beyond for their customers.Originally, I had a problem when my glasses did not turn out the way I need them to due to some miscommunication with a sales person. After talking with the staff they helped fix the problem very quickly. The doctors and staff are very personable and competent so they will take the time to answer all your questions. I would not want to buy my glasses from anywhere else.Some advice: be sure to ask to see all their eye wear that is available because some of it is located in another room.

I went here to get my eyes checked, I had 20/20 vision but they still insisted I needed glasses to help. I ended up buying new glasses and asked if I could return them if they didn’t work out.They told me yes I had two weeks. I returned them within the week because they gave me headaches and made my vision worse.After I returned the glasses, they told me I couldn’t get my money back or insurance reimbursement. When I bought them they never told me that.Now I spent 300 on glasses and have nothing to show for it and also a very expensive insurance bill because they failed to tell me I can’t return the glasses. I’m never using this company again!

My Optomitrists office was vandalized during the protest and she wasnt able to treat my eye care emergency. She recommended that I contact West Michigan Eyecare Associates. When I explained the situation to them, they immediately tended to my needs with professionalism both personally and professionally.

Ive been living in GR for years, and I went to several eye care places before finding WMEA. Im definitely going to stick with them! They are the best. Everyone there was super nice, I didnt feel like just a number, it was efficient and they were very helpful with ordering my new glasses and contacts.

I always have a good experience here. Dr. Ford is great. I appreciate that they value my time and schedule appointments that fit my life. And my eyes are the top concern, not just making another sale. Very professional and will fit you in if you have an emergency.

I made an appointment online last week after verifying with my insurance that my vision insurance was accepted at this office. This was obviously a mistake as I was informed at my appointment that my while my health insurance is accepted, my vision insurance is out of network and I would have to pay out-of-pocket. My vision insurance information was entered into the online form and I also received text and phone call reminders of the appointment but no mention of the insurance issue until I arrived at the appointment after leaving work early. I was in desperate need of new contacts and now I’m going to have to wait even longer to make an appointment somewhere else. While I understand the insurance issue, it is very frustrating that this was not communicated prior to my appointment.

Dr. Kenyon and staff were awesome! Everyone was warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. They truly made an exceptional experience for me. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who needs eye care!

I have been a patient of Dr. Ford and his father prior to that for many years now. I have always had a great experience. He is very knowledgeable and responsive to my needs. One of the best things about this office is I never feel rushed and feel that all my needs are heard. My daughter sees Dr. Kenyon and he has been great with her during each visit.

Staff and doctors are really great. Helpful, knowledgeable. They have a great selection of frames and options. I have no complaints about service or quality.I did have a little sticker shock at the cost of my glasses. Frames were reasonable ($202 for titanium). Progressive poly-carb lenses were $185/each. And thats BEFORE the $150 anti-reflective coating. I added magnetic clip-ons for $125 (reasonable to me since theyre custom cut to fit the frame). All-in, glasses were $847, not including exam, etc. I know glasses arent cheap. But $260 PER LENS is really hard to swallow.

Organized and professional. Always quick and personable when I need glasses adjusted. Dr Kenyon is thorough, friendly and very common sense. He takes time to listen and answer questions. I recommend the practice to family and friends.

If you need a pediatric optometrist, you will never find a better doctor than Dr. Jeff Kenyon. He was able to help my sons amblyopia when he was a preschooler and a few years later spotted a barely-there potential optic nerve issue that most docs would have missed. My son is now a teen and does not need any vision correction because of the early intervention and monitoring.In addition, knowledgeable techs and opticians, personable office staff and many superb doctors make West Michigan Eyecare Associates the best optometric practice in Grand Rapids.

As someone who bopped around from place to place (mostly chain locations)... I can say that time has finally come to an end since finding WMEA. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly in an above and beyond way and a huge kudos and thanks Dr.Jon Wieringa - I have never felt better in my contacts. I have purchased lens both through them and on my own and they are never pushy or overly salesy. Its a big, beautiful location ...with all that space I wish they had even more glasses options to look at, but overall its a great establishment. Highly recommended!

Getting an appointment is easy, the office runs on time, the doctors spend quality time with you, and if you have children, their questions are answered respectfully, personably, and with humor (as applicable!). I would NEVER go anywhere else for my glasses; prices are competitive, they include manufacturer warranties and work with your insurance company. I couldnt be happier.

Dr Jeff Kenyon is the best eye doctor Ive ever been to. My whole family goes to him for their eyecare. He does vision therapy in addition to regular eyecare, and does a wonderful job at it; he fixed my sons visual processing problem. The office staff are friendly and the office environment is nice as well. My only complaint is that they are a little expensive.
