Our hygienist, Molly, is the best! She is so kind and patient. She made sure to educate my child about oral hygiene without shaming them. Also, my child is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns. Molly switched pronouns like a pro. She made us feel so cared for and understood.

There seems to be a negative review about this dentistry, and it is somewhat ironic the individual’s name is “Karen.” The review is nowhere near what I’ve experienced since my first visit with this establishment in mid-October. ALL staff members wear masks and make sure that all of their guests feel more than welcome. The environment is very much clean, the staff makes sure their guests are on the same level of understanding what procedure(s) is happening and why, while also focusing on the health aspect of each guest. If you’re looking for a new dentist, strongly consider Complete Health Dentistry!

All of the staff here is awesome. Not having been to the dentist in a long time and they make you feel right at home and go out of their way to make a personal connection with their clients.

Con artist said I had a bunch of filling got 3/4 of the work done went to a different dentist thinking I would have another quarter of work to do and nope no cavity’s mfer were drilling my teeth for no reason. Also would say I have a balance when I paid for my stuff in full every time. Don’t waste your health or your money at this place. Would give a zero star if I could.

I’ve been going to Complete Health Dentistry for over a year. It’s by far the best dentist’s office I have found. They value your overall health and work with you to make improvements to your dental hygiene. They listen and explain their process and any procedures so you never feel overwhelmed. Ive been to a lot of dentists over the years and I dont think I need to ever go to another. Ive been treated like family since day one, Ive never felt any judgement, I walk into a positive environment every single time I go, theyve worked with me financially, and they do great work. What more could you ask for?

With a change in insurance, I had to find a new dentist as my prior dentist did not participate with my new insurance. Randomly, I called Complete Health Dentistry of West Michigan to establish a new patient routine dental check up. The receptionist was very kind answering questions, setting up an appointment, and was reassuring. In the meantime, having never been to their office, I had a dental emergency and needed to call Dr Christopher Ritzema at 10:30 pm one Thursday evening. He promptly called me back and despite having never met me, he quickly assessed the situation, was quite sympathetic, started a treatment, and scheduled me in for a 9 am appointment Monday. My experiences have been excellent! It truly is complete dentistry - they do it all right there in house - wonderful!! Dr Ritzema is intelligent and skilled; he seems to have a passion for his work with a genuinely kind spirit. The staff is friendly, warm, accommodating, and I feel sincerely care about who you are and your individual needs. I noticed a wide range of clientele and I loved that - it seemed all were welcome no matter! The facility was very clean and kept. Everyone adhered to COVID guidelines. Parking is easy; they do have handicap access if needed. I enjoyed the range of music played. And, a shout out to Courtney & Randi, my dental assistances - precious young ladies who I so enjoyed sharing conversations with about life.

Dr. Maring and the entire team at Complete Health Dentistry of West Michigan are fantastic! They create an environment that makes patients feel comfortable asking questions and help ease the nervousness that can come with dental procedures. I loved that their staff explained how my oral health directly impacts my overall health. I also appreciate that they take dental care from a proactive perspective and take care of any dental issues as soon as they arise.

Never had any issues with my teeth and I go here for the first time and they say I need 10 filings! I go through with it and even a year later and my teeth hurt every day from the work that was done. Before the appointment I had no issues.

I used to shake in fear when I had to go to the dentist; then I came to Complete Health Dentistry. What a change!!!From the first visit, I knew I was in the right place! Pain? Nope! What???I look FORWARD to going to the dentist now. Really? Yes, I sure do.

This is easily the worst dental place in Grand Rapids. They charge for services and items that are not needed. Push expensive products on you. And miss diagnosis people to get extra money. My sister was told that she had multiple cavities from Complete Health Dentistry and got them filled. Here we are a year later and my sister has gone to a different dentist and was told that there are no cavities in her mouth. Also was told that there are surface level fillings that she didn’t need on her teeth.

Where to begin, this is the most friendly and chill dental practice I’ve been to. They all seem to work together like a well oiled machine. Chair side manner is great and very comfortable. It is kind of like going to your cool Aunt & Uncle’s house to visit. If I hear anyone needs a dentist, I will surely recommend Complete Health Dentistry.

10 months before visiting this office I separated from the military and had a comprehensive medical exam to include dental. One issue was discovered and rectified. So, I separated with no dental issues. My family moved to Grand Rapids after separation and had to find a new doctor. We decided to go with this office. Upon my annual check-up with Dr. Maring I was told that I have 4 fillings that need to be done, and my wife was told by Dr. Ritzema that she has 7 fillings. We were shocked. So, we decided to go to another dentist for a second opinion. Wife and I decided to chose our own new dentists (both in Plainfield) and did not tell them during our visits about prior visit to CHD (in order to avoid bias). Both mine and my wifes new dentist said that we had 0 cavities and/or bad fillings. I hope this review helps someone in making an informed decision. I wouldve given 1 star, but front office staff is very nice and the dental hygienist are pretty good as well.

Today was my first appointment at Complete Health Dental. After having some very negative experiences with a few dentists in the past, I was anxious about going. I am however, so happy that I went. The staff are all helpful, reassuring , friendly and knowledgeable. The hygentist was spectacular. After a very thorough exam we have come up with a workable plan to address my dental care. I am actually excited and look forward to having them as my dentist office!

I was hesitant to write this review but I thought I should just share my experience, but I will also explain how my situation changed over the course of a few months. I went here about 3 months ago as a new patient. As someone who has had one filling in my life, it was shocked to learn that I had more than ten cavities in addition to advanced gingivitis that would require an enhanced/special (expensive and more frequent) cleaning. The cost of all the work that they thought I needed totaled to over $4,000.Flash forward three months and I just went to a different dentist and I have 0 cavities and no gingivitis and my bill is $0.But I do want to explain some things- the first dentist visit frustrated me enough that I was extra careful about my dental hygiene. I mean, I always brushed but I was a bit lazy about flossing. So the new dentist (not Complete Health Dentistry) got me after 3 months of good flossing and gargling. Will that make 10+ cavities and gingivitis go away? I have no idea. But my bank account is glad I waited. The new dentist used the same XRays from my visit to Complete Health Dentistry of West Michigan.I am not trained in dentistry and I bet dentists get tired with untrained people claiming to know more than them , so I will not assume or imply that anything predatory is going on at Complete Health Dentistry of West Michigan. Perhaps this dentist and the other dentist have different approaches to drilling/ there may be different schools of thought that they adhere to. I just wanted to share what actually happened to me. And lastly, I could see 1000 dentists and finally hear what I want to hear. But it only took one to have a basically the opposite diagnosis...and I didnt tell the new dentist anything about my diagnosis from Complete Health Dentistry of West Michigan.I gave 2 stars because the people were friendly.So unfortunately I will not be going back to Complete Health Dentistry of West Michigan. I cant afford it!edit: 2 years later and still no cavities.

Amazing practice, very thorough, professional, and welcoming! Dr. Allie Maring is wonderful—great with patients and goes out of her way to make sure that everything is done with the highest quality. She has done multiple fillings for me, and done an excellent job each time. Can’t recommend enough!

Went to the dentist that previously owned this practice for 30 years, all semi annual visits for the past 10+ years have been excellent, great teeth and gums. Now this new regime tells me that I have serious gingivitis that apparently developed since my last visit in April. Spent so much time detailing the extensive treatment options necessary that they never cleaned my teeth. I was charged $88 to NOT have my teeth cleaned. Am seeing another dentist later this month and if the gum disease diagnosis isnt confirmed I will further escalate my complaint.

I moved back home to GR after eight years in Phoenix where I was unable to find reliable dentistry. Remembering that Dr. Z had retired, I called Complete Health Dentistry and came in for an appointment. I felt like was home again. My dental health was in need, and the staff and dentists were absolutely wonderful, professional and friendly as they helped me restore my mouth to good health--so important to my well-being. They are helpful, kind and care about the whole person. I highly recommend CHD.

So in short I love this place! First of all I do not trust dentists when they say I have a cavity. Im like prove it. Well, thats exactly what they did! They took pictures of all my cavities, explained what was going on, why they were happening, and a comprehensive plan to get them taken care of. Shout out to Molly (I believe that is her name!) she was so great and funny!Lets talk about the office staff because they definitely deserve a shout out as well. I was originally checked in by the insurance person (sorry totally not the right title name but you get the gist)! I called the office and the office manager picked up! They truly work as a team and care more about their patients more then their job title. The front desk staff were super nice and very helpful! All around great TEAM!

Clearly paying for these reviews. Waiting for the day charges come down on this crooked dentist. Was going there for 5 yrs and spent thousands to repair my teeth. Started out paying for a root canal to keep my tooth just to have them turn around and charge me to pull it a yr later saying it had to cime out. Had a cap fall off that was not even two years old. And now just had another crown and post break that did not last two yrs. And they are telling me I have to pay $1300 out of pocket to put a different crown and post in. His work does not hold up and he is out to get rich creating work.

At first I was skeptical but love the progress and results of the work they have done for me. Molly (my gum specialist) is great. Ive learned a lot about my own health and care. Good staff all around and great results.

Everyone is very professional and explained everything that they were going to do. Very clean office. Everyone is very nice & is on a first name basis. Willing to work with you on a payment plan if needed. I would recommend anyone to go there.

Im not going into detail who has time for all that I gave this Dentist enough of my time and money. This place is a money pit nothing like it was for the last 20 years sure not a good replacement to the service I use to get before this young guy made his appearance steer clear never had a tooth problem until I met this guy. Signed crown gone bad....... I just read that big paragraph of lies you posted I never had a tooth problem in my life. I came there because Ive been going there for 20 years before the incompetent dentist arrived I couldnt chew on one tooth. He did a crown in 2 days and then did a root canal in which I hear is backwards I came back like 3/4 times for adjustment or just to be comfortable ended up with a open contact and my tooth has never been the same do you really think Im going to let him keep practicing in my mouth I thought his internship days were over.

We moved to Grand Rapids about a year ago and have been looking for a dentist. Everyone here is super kind and thoughtful. They make you feel welcomed and are willing to work with you anyway they can. We really got lucky finding them.

Front desk staff is extra special at this practice. They are always so patient and helpful when Im juggling scheduling my family of 4 with lots of different needs. Dr. Ritzema is easy to talk to, gentle and patient with my little ones, and very knowledgeable.

I enjoy visiting this dentist! They are very welcoming and great at explaining the importance of your overal health based on your oral care. They are always on it to make a great treatment plan when needed. They simply take care of their patients.

Dr. Nick and his dental assistant, Melissa, took great care and consideration for my dental needs. Like giving me breaks to close my mouth during my fillings. Any specific requirements (using a bite block) are recorded in my file for future appointments. All staff members are friendly, & courteous and financial management staff make sure that I dont go above my insurance plan.

I used to see Dr. Ritzema at a different practice before he opened his own location and was devastated when I had to wait to see him at his new locale. I cannot recommend him more highly than I do. If there was an option to give him more stars I would. His entire staff is awesome. Dr. Ritzema is knowledgeable and also has an awesome chair-side manner. He makes you feel like he truly cares which in this day and age is rare. His hygienists are absolutely wonderful! They are intelligent, kind and funny. If youre looking for someone that will make you feel like you are being included in your treatment, this is your guy!

Everyone who worked there was just so kind to me. One of the ladies took the time to learn about me, and introduced me to other staff members with 3 facts she learned about it. It made me feel cared for!

I am not impressed! My son who has never had a cavity in his life, was told by this office that he needed $1500.00 worth of work on cavities that needed fillings. He went and got a second opinion and guess what? No cavities! I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone!So they called me about this review? Wow just wow! I find it quite interesting that when the new dentist reached out for the medical records for my son they had mysteriously disappeared and were never sent to our new dentist.Another tidbit on how this place runs is that I had services back in January my insurance paid within 60 days of service and they are just now sending me a bill (took them 11 months to bill me) and tell me I have 30 days to pay it! Once again WOW!

Why is dental care vital to your health? Normally going to a dentist for me was a veryDreaded experience..if i would have had the experience of complete Health Denistry it would have changed my understanding of how important denistry is to my health.. i had alot of extractions in my life because i simply couldnt afford anything else dueto dental billing offices unable to work with financing. Complete Health Denistry does.I was sensitive to pain, i have not experienced pain since i started at this office.The most important to me is i gained the knowledge of what decay and poor dental health to the rest of your body... i can testify that my digestive system has benefited since i can chew properly..my arthritis has changed since the decay is out of my mouth and my diabetes is better. I truly did not think it was going to affect my whole body health...The office staff professional and truly cares about your dental needs..the dental team Cares about you as an individual. .The dentist is kind compassionate knowlegable giving me the best options .
