When our family switched dentists many years ago, it was because every other dentist we sought out was obviously looking to make the most money possible off our teeth. They were all aggressive and pushy. Dr. Ludwig is laid back and honest. He doesnt make us or our kids feel like were failing at teeth. Weve come to trust him so much over the years that if and when he does recommend treatment, we know hes saying so for our benefit, not his. He calms down any kids fears by his calm demeanor. His staff is very friendly, and the new renovations are beautiful. Were lifers here!

I went it for a cap on my tooth. Everything went smooth and I didnt have any pain. Ashey did a great job on preparing the temporary tooth. I love this denist office. Every body that works there is nice, Dr. Ludwig is the best dentist in town. If you dont believe me ask any Griffins players.

Bones heal, scars fade, but teeth dont grow back. Clearly, I have made some bad decisions. Because of this, I have a smile that a Goalie would be proud of and Ive spent far more than my fair share of time in a dentists chair. Since moving to Grand Rapids Ive been to three different dentists trying to find one that I fit with. A dentist is like a barber. This is someone you want to have a compatible personality with, a good match for sense of humor, who is also good at their job and does quality work. Dr. John Ludwig is a rockstar dentist with an exceptional staff. Im so used to places that treat you like a number. Youre in, youre miserable, you pay through the nose, and youre out. Nobody wants to take 5 minutes and actually talk, much less answer questions. Most dentists today dont have the patience for patients and have no desire to build a rapport with them. Ashley the Awesome Assistant, The Dashing Miss Piper, and Dr Ludwig each took the time to simply CARE, and that was noteworthy. At no point did I feel like a number going through some giant insurance machine. I felt at ease, and was treated with genuine compassion and humanity. We even had a few laughs. They answered my million questions. They shared thoughtful opinions. They listened to my concerns and were actually receptive to my suggestions. They were understanding of my scheduling difficulties, and they even took the time to care about the little details (like filling an impression mold in a way it doesnt make you gag). I know its silly, but thats the first dentist Ive ever had actually DO that. It was lovely. This is a level of customer service that everyone should strive to achieve. Its a rare and wonderful treat in life to have a dentist you can look forward to visiting. I have only had my first visit a couple hours ago, and get to go back tomorrow for a follow-up. But already I am sincerely thankful to have finally found my permanent dentist. These guys Fit, and Im thankful to be their patient. I recommend them without reservation or hesitation. Tell them the weirdo science guy sent you. ;)
