PLEASE be careful with this company. I was told prior to admission that insurance was verified and there is coverage for a 21-30 day stay and that the copayment amount due the day of admission is $1197. However, on the day of admission the copayment amount was increased to $1900. Then the following day after the intake process was completed I was then told there is only coverage for 7 days and was given a discharge date and time. One of the employees even commented, “Seven days isn’t even long enough for a vacation.” It was implied that it is also not long enough for in-house residential treatment either; and I agree it’s not. I was also told that this same/similar situation has happened to more than one patient who tried to utilize Sanford House for treatment. I don’t believe that the vision Rae and David Green ( the founders of Sanford House) had was anything like this. I write this review not because I want devalue the quality of the treatment because I honestly cannot speak to that. I do however think that it’s important for me to speak up and share my experience. My prayer for those seeking recovery is that God will guide you in finding the help you need.

I went to Sanford House to get sober. While I was there, during Covid, we were told by the house staff that we needed to wear masks. The outside staff that came in did not follow this policy. Subsequently, I was exposed to someone who tested positive. I was then kicked out of the house....through no fault of my own.
