Had painful abcess above molar. I was seen next day. X-ray showed infection, broken post. Tooth had to be pulled. They were able to get me into my favorite oral surgeon office immediately. Removed without incident or pain. No stitches or complications. Thanks to Dr Swain and all there for taking care of me so quickly..

I was in town on vacation when I noticed some discomfort with my teeth. I knew that I should have my teeth looked at before it got worse. I was traveling with my in laws and my father in law recommended me to Dr. Swain. He had a dental emergency a few years back and nothing but amazing things to say about him and his staff. I called on a Monday and they had me in the next morning as soon as they opened. My first experience was over the phone. The woman who answered was so over the top kind and friendly that it almost didnt seem real. She was empathetic and listened to my concerns. The next morning when I arrived she and the dental assistant were so unbelievably kind and welcoming. Dr. Swain was very helpful, thoughtful and put my mind at ease after looking at some x-rays. As a matter of fact he even called me back personally a few days later on his day off to prescribe an antibiotic to treat an infection and bring comfort to me. I HIGHLY recommend this Denistry practice and EVERYONE who works there. They are truly an amazing group of people. Thank you so much to them all!

I recently became a patient of Dr. Swains and am so glad he was accepting new patients. I already knew it would be a great experience from other patients there. I was however quite pleasantly surprised at how through he is. I have never been to a dentist who took that much time and detail in his exam to get to know my mouth, jaw, x-rays etc.Front desk staff was amazing also, they make you feel very comfortable.I did however have a hard time finding the building lol it took me an extra trip around the block, but they were very understanding

I had a dental emergency and needed a tooth fixed to try and save it. Dr swain got me in the same day to evaluate it and scheduled me the next day to fix it. He saved me from having to get an immediate root canal and made it so I was comfortable again with getting on with my daily life. Everyone there is very friendly and always makes you feel at ease.

With everything going on with Covid-19, and the fact that no one actually likes to go to the dentist, the team at Dr. Swains office made my last visit pleasant and even enjoyable. The people there are great!

From the very first moment you step into the foyer, its like youre family. The staff here are all excellent, knowledgeable and treat you like they really care. Dr Swain is kind and compassionate and thoroughly explains everything. He even contacts your doctor ahead of time if you have any medical conditions, which Ive never had a dentist do that before. Any time Ive had a toothache or any kind of problem, they usually get me in the same day, which is nice not to have to wait when I have an emergency. The building itself is pretty cool, its a historic piece of Grand Haven, but the inside is modernized and they have up to date equipment. If you want a small town, down-home feeling where everyone knows your name, this is THE place to be for dental care!

I have been a patient of Dr. Swains for at least a couple of decades. ALL staff members are professional, competent, courteous, fun and...just good people. While I lived in/near Grand Haven for 16 years, fourteen years ago I moved back to the area in which I grew up. Yet, I still drive 90 minutes each way for my dental appointments because these people are worth the trip. Doc has a great chairside manner, my Dental Hygienist is considerate and cracks me up, the Dental Assistant makes me feel comfortable, and the Admin Professionals at the front desk got it goin on.In all areas of life, relationships matter. You should start one with these fine people.

Did not explain to me why I needed to go to an oral surgeon for a simple tooth extraction. Do not come here if you need a tooth pulled. He told me he does not do that here. He also sarted to say hed give me pain medicine for a couple of days until I could see someone who could actually help me. Then back tracked, slapped me on the knee and arrogantly told me there was an opiod crisis so he couldnt prescribe me anything. Im 28 weeks pregnant and it was very insulting.

Great experience both in skill and staff. Glad to make them my choice.
