The receptionists always seem like they would rather be home, and not working. They get the job done, but they do not know much about customer service. They seem bored with their job. That’s California for you.

Called their office on accident today. The receptionist was rude and demeaning. I cant imagine her speaking to any patient

There is something going on with the Verdugo Group. There has been such a change in staff, that I only recognize my primary physician, Dr. Beeve. I am on an HMO and I remember the days when I used to be able to have all my work - Xrays, MRIs, etc. done at the hospital. I would walk down the hill from the office and get these tasks out of the way. The contract changed, we no longer utilize the hospital services and now we are sent anywhere between Burbank and Pasadena. Speaking of authorizations. . . Probably two years ago, I contacted the office manager, who also is no longer there, to point out to her the amount of mistakes there are with the authorizations that are generated. Today I was in the office and was given three authorizations for treatment, two which were wrong. I brought the errors to their attention, and additional mistakes were made in the correction process. Dr. Beeve is my primary care physician and he is highly respected in the industry. He is a great doctor, too bad he doesnt have the support of a great staff. I think it is time to move on. I will miss Dr. Beeve but not the office screw ups.

The practice is ok, overall. But, please, please careful with which doctor you get an appointment. I see Dr. Gregory Beeve and for the most part, hes great. My issue is with Dr. Alen Mirzaian. He was the on-call doctor while my primary care doctor (Beeve) was out of town. As an on-call doctor, I would think he would have a bit of a cushion in his schedule to see patients on an as-needed basis. I really needed to see a doctor on July 3rd (due to a shortage of essential medication) and walked in to see to see if any appointment was available in the 2 hours I waited. After MUCH back and forth, the front office staff (alone with no contact with any doctor I saw/heard) decided I couldnt have an appointment. The office was winding down for the holiday so I noticed that no other patients were waiting to see Dr. Mirzaian. The front desk told me he was busy with paperwork, and would not be able to see me. I was the only one there and he chose to do paperwork than help me with a pressing issue. The problem is compounded because I need the RX from that office to go anywhere so we had to skip a July 4th celebration to keep me near the hospital. My primary care doctor (Beeve) is still on vacation (until 7/14) and Dr. Mirzaian refuses to approve a regular refill of my medication. Mirzaian told me to go to the Emergency Room and get the RX there. I have NEVER heard of that in my life. I also called his answering his service and he did call back promptly. I had been to the ER where I also couldnt get an RX. I told him about trying to get the meds at the hospital and he said it wasnt his problem because I [am] not his patient and he has no obligation to me.There is seriously SO SO much more I could put in here but Ill stop here for the sake of brevity. I hope this helps!
