So far its a good experience. Signed up because a friend works out there. Just getting into working out and Im sure my experience has a lot to do with myself more then anything. I like the place.

I started to go to this location once again after the 83rd Ave location closed. I was surprised at how clean and well laid out it was. The counter people are courteous and pleasant. Equipment is modern and plentiful. Cleaning and sanitizing seems to be constantly occurring.

The gym is nice. So much equipment. So many treadmills. Bikes. Weights. Basketball courts. Hand ball courts. Sauna. Steam room. Jacuzzi. Huge pool. Nice locker rooms with big showers. A lot of them. Clean toilets and sinks. Mirrors. Blow dryers. Big lockers. My issue is the gym mentality. Staff call three times a day. About nothing. Or anything. They called me so many times about getting a trainer. I tried to meet him twice. Each time he was with other customers. And never would acknowledge me. Even though my time was set for an appointment. Twice. I signed up through my insurance. Who pays for my membership. Yet they still call me 2 times a day. Why. I have no clue. Great place to work out. But some of the staff are an acquired thing

Another victim of the personal training scam with Sharif. Other reviews have said it better, but hell say you can cancel at anytime, but you really have 3 days. James, the VP of training just blows you off. Dont do personal training here, unless youre ready for a year commitment.

Very unprofessional training manager. Goes through membership extremely fast. Never mentions if you sign up up are stuck for a year and never gives you a copy of the contract or mentions the 3 day to change you mind. When I went to speak to the manager, who signed me up he said give me a few days to get back to you and then of course he never contacted me. Trading sessions not worth the money. You can hire a personal trainer for less.Worst gym/personal training. $40 a 25 minutes. Trainer never weighs or measures you. How would you know about any improvements. This was the first thing the training manager said would happen. I text the trainer, Jim to let him know I would not be coming to our standing appointment time he told me he took me off his schedule. This I assumed meant the Training manager had decided to cancel the contract.Very deceitful selling!

Love this location and 99% of the staff, but had to rate it low due to a recent personal training scam. DONT AGREE TO PT RIGHT WHEN YOU SIGN UP. The guy gave us his pitch and promised us half off the first month...if its not your thing, you can cancel and well refund you. Well, it was a complete lie and the sign-up paperwork was a 1-year contract that management will not release us from, even though we canceled before the one month mark. When we complained that he said we could cancel and have a refund, management asked us if we recorded him saying that. Absolutely shady and scammy. Only join PT here if you KNOW its what you want and can afford. Or maybe just pick a more trustworthy company.

The staff R Ok, but many of the members R very weird. They seem to cater to the bottom of the heap. I use them only for yoga and showers.

Just yesterday a personal trainer was using the treadmill as a pushing sled or leg press stressing the motor and belt since it wasnt running. Not a great place to learn if youre new to fitness! Ive already filed a complaint with corp.

Been a member of LA Fitness for almost 22 years. Just so happens the name was changed at several locations. Still good place to work out. It is clean and currently not too busy.

Watch your contracts! Read & re-read over and over! Your fault if you dont. Have them printout all contracts while there enrolling and any new programs enrolled in. Lots of surprises. But a really great fitness center and awesome services. So fun you dont even know your working out! The the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam are so wonderful afterwards to help with pain or tighten muscles after exercise.

I signed up with Alex for my wife and two sons. When we signed up there was no mention of if we downgraded the plan that a new contract would need to be signed with new renewal fees. Ops Manager Bianca doesn’t follow through. I had Alex “suspend” a month however it wasn’t done. I’ll be filling a complaint with the BBB on this site

Pretty standard LA Fitness. They overcharge for their membership but at least they provide a relatively clean gym. I have been to several LA Fitness locations in multiple states and this one has the same typical things they all do. Nice that this location has a steam room in addition to the sauna. The bathroom area isn generally kept clean. If this was a cheaper gym it might get a higher score but with it being over priced it gets an average score for a standard gym.

Great place to work out. Staff is friendly and helpful. Staff are always cleaning floors and equipment. If you are looking to step up your game, there are several personal trainers on board. Sherif has helped out tremendously with my work outs. Thanks to the whole staff. After the LA Fitness that I went to for years closed, I wasnt sure that I would find a place that I could like as much, this place is it! Plus there are several familiar faces. If you are looking for a decent place to work out, give it a try.

The hot tub finally opened after they repaired an underground leak. Now the steam room is closed for a boiler problem. Still a pretty good gym, clean, fair equipment, dry sauna, hot tub, pool, and steam room when its working.Update: and the hot tub is broken again.

Nice facilities, courteous staff but I wont goo back until they change their masks optional policy.I have no way of knowing if these people are covid free.

Excellent gym facility for adults at any level from gym bums (like me) to newbies. They have knowledgeable physical trainers available to assist anyone, young or old, with their unique fitness goals. Im a longtime member here & have been with other gyms in the past. This place has been my favorite. Worth your time to check it out.

My corona favorite. Gym is kept clean by members and staff. Staff walks around regularly cleaning all the equipment. People were friendly, and plenty of space to workout in a group of people but not be crowded by others .Def coming back here again.

Big Lou and the crew run an amazing gym. Plenty of space, plenty of weights, and very clean gym. They also keep plenty of Benadryl up at the front desk, for when my muscles get all swollen and have an allergic reaction to the weights!

It’s a nice and well cleaned establishment but forbid you ever have a family emergency that puts you in a financial crisis.Got a gym membership here and a personal trainer. The rep made everything sound all great but READ THE CONTRACT. He said that I can cancel at anytime if we needed to. That was a big LIE. Well I had a family emergency that cause some financial struggle and the manager Sharise was not understanding at all. He kept throwing the CONTRACT in my face. I understand that I signed a contract and how it works but I was wondering if there was anything he could do to help me out. No he continued to throw the contract. Which is his job I guess. Sharise the personal training manager is a big con artist. I spoke with him first and he promised that he would speak to his manager about my emergency and get him to agree to pay only 4 months(which was a lie)!Questions to ask before signing anything with them:What is the cancellation fees?Can I cancel this agreement at anytime and where does it state it in the contract?

I was really excited to start a membership with Esporta, I have had memberships to all the most common gyms in the past and I was ready to start my fitness journey AGAIN lol. As with all new membership I went to my first Free assessment with Sharif... and this is where it went downhill. The work out was great, this guy knows his stuff when it comes to physical training, no complaints. But heres where I ran into problems and Im writing this review to forewarn potential future members (ESPECIALLY REGARDING GROUP TRAINING MEMBERSHIPS OR PRIVATE TRAINING).I am very cautious when it comes to commitments with gyms. I like to know all of the details about what I am signing up for like: annual fees, cancellation fees, times prior to next billing, etc. If youre like me you want to know all of the aspects prior to committing to a membership. After my assessment we discussed membership, private training, etc. Being that I am a full time employee and student I knew I wouldnt have the time for private training nor did I want to spend the money for it (not because I dont believe its effective but because I think their prices are unsustainable).I told him no and that was that, but this guy wouldnt quit. This is where it gets awkward you say no and he was persistent, not sure how many ways one could say no, my problem was I didnt want to be rude and so I heard him out. He then proceeded to try to persuade me into taking monthly group classes. I didnt want to, it was very obvious, and he knew I didnt have the time for it. I agreed to try it out because after three different times of asking him he stated their wouldnt be a cancellation fee what he failed to mention each time was that I was committing to a 12 month subscription. Thats over 400 dollars. I called to explain to him that I couldnt make any of the trainings because of my schedule, he explained to me that I knew what I was getting myself into. I called him again after trying to go for a month but these classes happen while I am at work he said he would talk to his higher ups and see if there was anything that could be done.I knew dam well that wasnt going to happen. I knew he wasnt commited to his customers and I was his last priority. I officially felt defeated and gave up. He never reached back out. I had to call him several times to get an answer and of course, as predicted it was all on me. I now owe over 200 plus dollars I would have to pay to cancel my 12 month group classes membership. All because he couldnt be up front, honest, or direct about those fees before I agreed. If I had known about the fees prior to agreeing OF COURSE I WOULDNT HAVE SIGNED UP FOR IT! Its a NO-BRAINER. He knew very well that my intentions were to give the class a chance and failed to tell me what would happen if they didnt work out.I am disappointed with Sharifs business style and ethics. A loyal customer (in my opinion) is more valuable than a 12 month membership of $40/month. But I guess Sharif doesnt see the value.. I liked the other esporta locations like Avondale, but Sharif ruined my outlook on Esporta and physical trainers. The reality of it is they do not prioritize their customers well-being or livelihood, they are just money hungry and apparently work based on numbers.Would not recommend for anyone to talk about memberships with Sharif. Choose another representative/trainer. He wont be upfront with you... I had only good intentions going in and if youre like me, you will need someone honest and up front if you want to protect your finances.

Have had the opportunity to use the pool at 55th and Bell.Pool looks nice and clean. However, water is very cold, certainly below 80. I wore my wet suit which worked well but legs got very cold.Wish they would compensate for pool size and lack of water circulation to get at least 84.Thanks

So far I like the gym but one of the main basketball hoops is all bent up its been like this since I started here 3 weeks ago. I definitely like when the things they try to sell you on arent broken.. maybe trying to find another gym if this is how they do business.

They closed the basketball courts by zip tying the nets. Pretty much the only reason I come to la fitness, was because they had courts in every gym. Now, you can get a cheaper membership else where if you just looking for weights, machine, etc

Good place to work out. Right now with the COVID-19 pandemic in effect there has to some extra precautions made to stay safe during these times. It helps that the staff are polite and friendly.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Its very clean and the equipment is kept in working order. They offer great training. There is ample parking. They offer a variety of classes, racquetball, private training, a juice bar, and more. I enjoy working out there.

Employees polite and friendly. Locker room spacious and clean as long as members dont leave paper towels laying around. Nice big lockers, too. I go for the treadmill and pool. Ive never had problems getting a treadmill, and the pool and the area around it are clean and tidy. The members have been polite and willing to share the lap lanes which hasnt been my experience at other gyms.

Great gym but terrible music. No music is far better than the pop station blasting at 6am. If your headphones die don’t even bother coming. Plus no punching bags

This place is a wonder land if you like free weights and a large variety of machines that feature heavy loads. This location gets 4 stars as it has restricted hours (like all LaFitness locations) and the bathroom (in the womens) was pretty dirty especially on the floors in the toilet stalls.

Ive held my membership for 19 years and that is testament to liking it. Plenty of equipment and space. I guess my membership was grandfathered in and at $25/month I have the privilege to use facilities anywhere. No probs with the staff. Oh, no broken equipment. They seem to be promptly repaired.

I have been to this location many, many times over the years. Never had a real issue. On the contrary, great location with great customer service. Nina is such a great example of what real customer service is all about. Great job, Nina!

3.5 good basketball court and weight room. Swimming pool use to be clean 10 yrs ago but maintenance keeping it clean has not been good. They also shouldnt exclude areas only for personal training use. EOS, planet fitness,Vasa, lifetime, dont even do that

I have never had a problem with any employees. However, it does tend to get crowded and I have now begun going to the gym either super early in the morning or late at night when there are fewer people. The gym is pretty spacious and they have quite a bit of equipment to use. There is a separate room for free weights which is awesome for those that prefer free weights over smith machines.I would definitely recommend this location.

Worst management I have ever experienced. Unprofessional and unorganized. Manager is unbelievably rude and apparently every other grown adult in the gym thinks so. The manager tried to charge me extra on my account. Was very pushy and persistent. Definelty not interested in helping or genuine. We will be changing gyms immediately.

Fewer people go here than the 10/ month gyms, which is a pro. 1 star due to sales tactics which ended up turning into empty promises. Other than my experience with the sales managers deception, everyone else was pleasant. Operations manager was straight and to the point with no empathy, just business, which is understandable.

Love all of the classes and equipment available. Havent tried the pool or courts yet, but excited to get to them soon. The staff is super friendly, and trainers are helpful.

They put vickes and too much pepper mint oil in the steam room to the point it burns your eyes. They need to be more mind ful of others. That is not their steam room its for all the members and some of us dont want that stuff in there. This is why the steamer dont shut off when it needs to, because they have messed it up putting all that oil in there. Just let the steamer do what it do. It definitely dont need anyones help. When it breakdowns then they will be complaining about it. Just stop please! This is why I come in the mornings now. Second complaint. I saw this just this morning. Another person I cant mention the race of this individual either, but while I was showering. She stepped into the shower and coughed up whatever that was in her mouth and spit it right onto the shower floor. She didnt know I was in the shower in front of her. I TOLD HER, NOW THAT WAS JUST NASTY!!! she said she was sorry! Sorry??? Why did you do that. ? There are paper towels a trash can, but you chose to do it in the shower. Now at this point. I will never shower there again! Other than that its a cool place to work out. Very clean especially in the morning.

Its always packed, cars regularly get broken into in the parking lot and if you have any insecurities about working out in public, this place is your worst nightmare! (especially for women) you will get ogled like youre a protein shake by all the meatheads. BUT, 3 stars b/c the facility is always very clean and has great equipment, and friendly employees. Its not their fault that some people are creeps.

Do not have any unexpected health issue that creates a problem with LA Fitness collecting their money. If you can no longer use your arm it doesn’t matter . if you need to have surgery on your rotator cuff doesn’t matter . if they can’t collect their money they’ll destroy your family to get to it it does not matter. They have to have a certain type of note with certain wording by a certain type of physician nothing else is acceptable. They were provided with a note that said under no certain terms am I to work out or get personal training, I was denied. They are to be the priority over your family your children and anything else that you may need to survive While you’re trying to get your health situation together.This is a gym membership . They seem to of forgotten about the fact that it’s people that keep their business alive they don’t care about you only your money. Anyone else that I’ve had to contact throughout this ordeal has been extremely understanding and wonderful. LA fitness is disgraceful .

I go to three different LA Fitness Clubs in the area and this is by far the dirtiest, the weights are never in their rightful place and the Management seems not to care.The only bright spot was the Sunday 9:45am aerobics class - the instructor was Wendy and her class was one of the best classes I have ever been to and I have been doing aerobics for years - however, Wendy was recently let go and this weeks substitute was one of the worst instructors I have ever had. If that same instructor is kept, I will probably stop going to this Club and thats a shame since its the closest Club to where I live.

This gym is clean and not too crowded and the staff is nice enough. There are no bells and wristles, just equipment and positive atmosphere.As a women I feel comfortable working out here.The class schedule leaves a little to be desired but that is not a dealbreaker.

I workout at this gym. I only go here because it is convenient. I tried to get my friend a pass because he wanted to try out the gym but they made him pay 15 dollars for 1 hour. They always hand out free passes but no he had to pay.

Better than some of the other LA Fitness. Its a big club with a cardio section upstairs, a machine section in the front, and a free weight section in the back (which smells bad). The equipment is kind of old and some of it needs to be replaced. The staff is friendly. The locker room is ok and usually pretty clean.
