Thanks Bill! Took my wife here to get her new glasses fixed which fit very badly. He has some unique tools to adjust the nose pads and did a fantastic job aligning the stems and tightening them around the face and ears so they now sit level and dont fall off.Also a very nice guy, highly recommend.

The difference between LensCrafters and Bill Valentine Optical is night and day. I have never loved a pair of eyeglasses until the ones I just got from Bill. Bill has an eclectic variety of frames and although I was not sure what I was looking for, he was able to find the perfect (and perhaps literally one-of-a-kind) frame for my face. The lenses he put in the frame are the best I have ever looked through. I have a very strong prescription, and these lenses are the thinnest and clearest Ive ever had, with excellent peripheral vision and almost zero edge distortion. I also purchased a pair of prescription sunglasses from Bill that are just as fantastic. I have primarily worn contact lenses for years, but these glasses are so good that I may retire the contacts. The range of vision with these glasses is nearly equivalent to contacts, and no dry eyeballs.As for pricing, the total I paid for both the eyeglasses and sunglasses was less than what I would have paid for one pair of glasses via a Luxottica-owned brand (LensCrafters, Oakley, etc.), and Bills lenses are of far superior quality. Bills prices are also not far above Warby Parkers, even though Bills frames and fit are far, far better.The icing on the cake is that Bill is a wonderful guy and you will have a great time in his shop. Ive been going to Bill for glasses for 10 years when I moved here. He keeps my ancient titanium glasses in great shape. After cataract surgery, he ground me special no rx in the top and readers in the bottom glasses and I couldnt be happier. Make sure to try his prisms for computer work. Bill Valentine is truly a master optician. I am a frame rep and have worked in the Glendale area for 15 years. Ive known Bill for many years but only recently started wearing glasses. I started work with a new company and they offered to make me 2 pairs of glasses. I stopped in at an Optometry by my house to get my measurements taken and sent it in with my prescription. When the glasses came back I couldnt see out of them. I knew I needed an expert and I have heard great things about Bill over the years from other Optometrists and opticians in the area. I took the glasses to Bill and he was able to adjust one of the frames so that I could see out of them. The second pair was too off so he gave me the correct measurements and the lab redid the lenses to Bills specifications. They were perfect! Bill is a pleasure to be with. I went to his clinic earlier for adjustment of my glasses that I purchased online. I was really desperate to have it fix so I googled an optical shop near me & saw his clinic. It is run by Bill Valentine, the most skilled optometrist I have ever met ( I have worn glasses since I was one and I am old now). I took my glasses to his shop because the shop my optometrist referred me to didnt have the parts to fix my sunglasses and thus was sent to him. Bill Valentine is the best. He is a consummate craftsman, leaves no detail undone, and has great taste. He is friendly, compassionate and kind. I got a Boxer puppy, Frankie, whose passion is finding my fabulous frameless glasses and chomping them to near total destruction. She found my glasses 3 times and chomped them, including the lenses. After my dogs chewed up my last pair of glasses 😑😑 I needed something in a hurry; 20/100 vision isn’t exactly awesome...I was able to get an appointment the next day, and by the time I left I was set up with the new frames I chose, plus a temporary pair to keep me going for a couple of days while the new lenses were being made. What can I say, Bill has been making glasses for me for over 30 years. In the 80s I was having my glasses made by ForEyes and my neighbor who worked for an optical lab said you need to have quality glasses, not those cheap things. My neighbor introduced me to Bill; hes probably made at least 25 pair for me and I keep coming back for more! I’ve been trying to find a place to fix my favorite pair or T2 glasses (company no longer exists) for over a year and not only can they do it, but they also took great care in getting me set up with a new pair of computer glasses that I needed as well. They also gave me an incredible little gadget they invented that clips on to your existing glasses and makes them work for computer screen distance. I like having dedicated computer glasses but I’m always afraid I’ll misplace them and not be able to work for however many days it takes to replace them. Problem solved!Bill and Burke were so nice and patient with me. Bill adjusted my old glasses too, did a better job than anyone has ever done. Completely replaced the nose piece. Those glasses were killing me and giving me headaches and now they feel great!!

I have known Bill since his days at Glendale Eye. He was friendly and helpful then and he is even more relatable now. Bill makes you feel like a friend when you go in for repairs or new frames or lenses. Bill has repaired glasses that other Opticians wouldnt work on for one reason or another.
