Wonderful community! Forget anything negative you might have ever heard about the rigors of CrossFit. RADD offers and provides a truly holistic approach to health and fitness. Seminars on fitness topics and health focused nutrition challenges support and aid the fitness journey.

About 7 years ago I started looking into some CrossFit gyms. I went to 3 gyms in my local area. When I walked into 2 of them they handed me a piece of paper saying this is our schedule and how much it costs. When I walked into RADD one of the owners Diana had a conversation with me. When I walked out the door I knew this would be the gym I’d try out first. Fast forward 7 years later I can’t say enough good things about them. Not only did they teach me about getting fit but they helped me create a better lifestyle for myself and in turn my family. RADD Crossfit constantly goes over the top to help benefit not only their members but the community around them as well. I’m a school teacher in the Glen Cove school district and on multiple occasions they have invited students into their facility to exercise and share information about running a business and nutrition. If you have any second thoughts about joining RADD CrossFit just go in and chat with the owners. The first step is walking in the door. They’ll help guide you from there.

I recently joined RADD after moving from the city to Glen Cove, and so far the experience has been great! The owners and staff have been incredibly welcoming, from the moment I requested information Dan reached out to me immediately (like, within a minute of pressing submit) and wanted to learn about my goals as well as what drives me to be fit and healthy. Since it’s a family run business, there’s definitely a personal touch you sense right away, they care a lot about their members and the quality of the space and equipment. With Covid, the safety measures in place have made me feel comfortable, and I’ve really enjoyed the workouts so far. The programming is well balanced and thought out, and it’s been great to help me get back in shape after quarantine. Everyone is super friendly and accommodating, I highly recommend RADD to anyone passing through the area or looking for a new CrossFit gym or fitness community.

I saw a friend lose 50 pounds within half a year and keep going to cross fit for more than 2years to become healthier and healthier. I joined crossfit 2weeks ago and felt amazing. Today my big daughter enrolled ptivate sessions,too. Cant wait to see her become stronger.

The best place in town ! Not an understatement either. RADD truly lives up to there family dynamic and has created a community of acceptance, accountability, knowledge, and progress. And most importantly love / support and fun !RADD’s handling of the pandemic has been second to none. What they have done to make a healthy lifestyle available and affordable to the community in one of the most challenging times is unparalleled. The RADD staff looks at there clients as family. The progress made by clients is amazing. And it’s not just the workout and exercise science. Each staff member is well versed in life coaching. Mentality is critical when it comes to training and staying consistent and happy.

If I can describe the philosophy of RADD in a few words it would be, You can do it! This may sound like a common phrase, but RADD lives by this philosophy from workouts, to eating, to lifestyle changes, and to overall mental and emotional health. RADD cares about the WHOLE person and helps you to achieve your goals. They treat you like family and they care about their people. Every coach works with you at your own pace and caters workouts to what you can do, and then pushes you to your next level. At first a CrossFit workout seemed like an impossibility to me but I once I took the plunge, I loved it because RADD made me feel that I can do it. Since every workout is structured to your abilities and what challenges you, everyone feels welcome in group settings and everyone supports each other. The RADD family helped me to become a better me both inside and out!

I had to take a moment to give a shout out to RADD and the owners and coaches, Rob, Dan, and Diana, because I feel this is worth noting. A year ago, right before we went into lockdown, I had went to a CityMD because of a sinus infection, didnt have Covid, just your usual winter URI. At the time, I was also battling high blood pressure and was supposed to be going for an angiogram in the middle of March which of course got cancelled because of the pandemic. Rob introduced me to some online workouts because my gym was obviously closed. He then told me about a nutrition challenge RADD was having and I signed up. Dan called me immediately and we started talking about my goals. I told him about my hbp and that I was concerned about the meds I was on. I did exercise and try to eat right, but it didnt seem to be working. His response, we can help you. I started CrossFit via zoom and working with Diana on my nutrition and fitness weekly with both support from her and an accountability group I was in, and still am in. Fast forward a year later I was back at CityMD getting my Covid shot. When they went over my history they were so surprised. No more hbp, I am not on one Rx drug, and I am fitter and healthier then ever. And, I achieved most of this while on lockdown through zoom. RADD never stopped servicing its members during Covid and l was able to turn the pandemic into something positive. I live in Queens and now that they are opened again I travel to them for their classes because I am now hooked on Crossfit and continuing with my fitness goals. I will be 50 in 6 months and am healthier and fitter then I have ever been. I still have goals I want to achieve like we all do but I know I will get to them with the help of the RADD community. When they say dont use the word cant, the RADD coaches mean it because they are going to show you one way or another, that you can.

I have been going to RADD since October 2018 and have only had wonderful experiences. I started with no prior experience, the coaches tailored the classes to my ability and helped me get stronger! They are truly a community! Every coach is approachable and understanding. Rob, Dan and Diana really do want the absolute best for their members. The nutrition support is amazing. I’ve been a member at Radd CrossFit since 2013. The coaches are all knowledgeable and supportive of all members no matter what level you are at in your nutrition and physical journey. The members at Radd are like family members and the entire community is extremely supportive! Through group classes, accountability coaching and one on one coaching I have learned valuable nutrition and exercise lessons that I can utilize for life. YES! I am so excited to have a CrossFit Box here in Glen Cove. Rob, Dan and Diana are so nice and friendly. Everyone is very welcoming. I just joined a week ago. Coach Rob is very professional. He explains everything, makes sure you are doing the moves in proper form, safely and scales the workout to your ability while pushing you further. Highly recommended by many people in the community. If you want expert coaching, friendly crossfitters, and an experience that will transform you mentally and physically, go to this CrossFit!I have seen this amazing staff take a novice or sometimes feeble bodied individuals and help them achieve their goals of transformation. Achieving and crushing personal goals is what this CrossFit is all about. But they also promote and achieve an injury-free atmosphere. That is huge in CrossFit.

I have just finished my 2nd month at CrossFit NSLI and cannot say enough great things about the experience. The owners and trainers are great people and they are very patient with new members who are just finding their way. The gym has all sorts of members, some training for intense competitions, others, like myself, just looking to stay healthy and get into better shape.The atmosphere while training is very unique. It is hard to explain, but even while you are pushing yourself harder then you ever imagined you could, it is still fun. Sometimes while training, as Im huffing and puffing, I start shaking my head, laughing to myself, finding it hard to believe that I am actually completing these workouts. You will feel like you are getting your own personal trainer when there. Whatever your goals, this is a great place to train and you would do yourself a big favor to give this CrossFit a shot.

I started at RADD CrossFit this past July, and after three free intro classes I was instantly hooked. The workouts are challenging and push you to achievements you would not think possible. Rob, Dan, Diana, and all the coaches are great. They take the time to make sure all the movements are done properly and with the correct form so that everyone gets the most out of that days WOD. At the same time they make RADD a welcoming atmosphere where everyone pushes each other to succeed. The workouts makes you stronger both mentally and physically, be sure to stop by and try out a class!

I highly recommend RADD! Rob, Dan and Diana have built a great fitness community within RADD. The coaches are top notch in terms of helping everyone with their movements for each WOD. I never thought that Id compete in a Crossfit competition but with their great coaching as well as the friendly and supportive members I recently completed my first competition. When I first started looking into crossfit I went to look at a gym by my house and a gym by my job. The gym by my house basically handed me a brochure and told me to come back another time. The gym by my job welcomed me in and one of the owners Diana spoke with me for at least 15 minutes patiently answering all of my questions. This gym was RADD Crossfit in Seacliff. I decided to go with RADD and havent regretted it once since then. The RADD coaches are helpful, supportive and very educated in their area. Not only do they provide information on how to become better at working out but they also offer free nutritional advice. I highly recommend this gym if you want to better yourself and meet some really fun people.

So glad I took the leap of faith and tried the introductory class at Radd. Rob and Dan are both great coaches. They are really patient with the members and have a great knack for knowing when to push you towards goals you think are not possible. The atmosphere at the box (crossfit for gym) is so welcoming to both experienced CrossFitters and newbies alike. No egos here and the support from fellow members makes this a great place to push beyond your current limits. They are super strict when it comes to form on the lifts and movements and make sure you know the how before you think about the how much. In all the years Ive been a gym member Ive never experienced a great atmosphere like this.
